Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka inom vilka domäner mikrovärldar kan användas för att träna beslutsfattande samt svara på frågeställningen om hur träningen bör utformas så att önskade träningseffekter uppnås. Den teoretiska bakgrunden tar, utöver hantering av dynamik, upp teorier om principer för färdighetsträning, att utveckla mentala modeller med mera. Examensarbetet har genomförts som en litteraturöversikt och resultaten visade bland annat att det är möjligt att utveckla träning som inte kräver några speciella förkunskaper om krishantering för personal som normalt arbetar i så kallade lågriskmiljöer och att träningen underlättas av att få ta del av hur en expert löser uppgifterna..

Urination is a biological need but the routines surrounding urination are culturally specific and ever changing. This makes the organization of public space an important part in deciding what actions are made possible for the people in it. This paper considers women?s public urination and the possibilities to merge the need to urinate and the construction of the female body as feminine.A number of texts that describe the construction of the female body and identity as both gendered and socially produced are analysed in relation to women?s experiences of incontinence. Incontinence as a medical diagnosis is by this becoming possible to question, and may be seen as one of several strategies used to manage both the organization of the public space and the expectations of the female body to be a docile body.The conclusion is that a woman who wants to enter public space has the following options when it comes to the need to urinate:To strive for the feminine ideal.

Background: For an individual a surgery may involve strains and risks. Many patients experience a loss of its own identity and often an inability to control the situation while going through a surgical operation. Fear of pain or to not wake up from the anesthetic or that the surgery will fail are worrying factors that some people experiences. Purpose: The purpose was to describe patients? perceptions of preoperative information in connection to elective surgeries.

Den strategiska ekonomistyrningen handlar till stor del om extern fokusering i flera perspektiv för en organisation som ett komplement till den traditionella ekonomistyrningen som inriktar sig på att uppnå kortsiktiga mål. För att den strategiska ekonomistyrningen skall skapa mervärden krävs att medarbetarnas kreativitet och kunskap tillvaratas. För att uppnå detta har Robert Simons arbetat fram styrmodellen Levers of Control. Styrmodellen skall ge organisationen en helhetssyn och nyckeln ligger i att medarbetarna förstår och accepterar ledningens visioner. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka om det ledningen vill förmedla i den strategiska ekonomistyrningen uppfattas av medarbetarna.

Leanproduction börjar i allt större utsträckning appliceras inom olika verksamheter. Filosofins fokus på kundvärde samt dess skapade av effektiva och felförebyggande processer lockar mängder av aktörer inom olika sektorer av marknaden. Då kundvärde bör vara fokus för samtliga verksamheter och effektiva, kvalitetssäkra processer är något att eftersträva bör filosofin lämpa sig inom fler områden än just produktion. Tjänsteverksamhet är ett marknadssegment där kundvärde är särskilt viktigt. Då målet med tjänsteverksamhet vanligen är att skapa en bra service och på så sätt addera kundvärde bör leankonceptet framgångsrikt kunna appliceras inom verksamheten.

Detta examensarbete har genoförts vid AB Sandvik Coromant i Gimo på avdelningarna GVH2 och GVH3 under perioden oktober 2004 till mars 2005. Målet med arbetet var att komma med förslag till förändringar för att öka produktiviteten för avdelningarna genom bl.a. tillverkningsstrategiska och laoutmässiga förändringar. Arbetet bedrevs i fem huvudsakliga block: kartläggning av nuläge, analys av nuläge, litteraturstudie, framtagning av förslag, analys och utvärdering av förslag. De första två blocken gav oss en blick över hur väl den nuvarande produktionen överensstämmer med den planerade produktionsstrategin.

Dynamic Air Diffuser.

In order to facilitate testing of anesthesia machines a patient simulator has been required by Maquet Critical Care AB. A patient simulator has been developed to reduce expensive and time consuming animal experiments and temporary lab arrangements. The patient simulator has been developed and designed to simulate human lungs with regards to anesthetic uptake, production of carbon dioxide and heating and moisturizing exhaled air.The system comprises a container and a test lung to simulate the volume and the dynamic of the human lung. The simulation of uptake of anesthetics has been implemented by pumping a fraction of the gas from the container through a bypass circuit with an active charcoal filter that adsorbs volatile anesthetics. The flow through the bypass circuit is generated by a pump and is controlled by a linear valve.The resulting performance of the patient simulator has fulfilled the requirements.

Den ökande globaliseringen medför dock inte enbart negativa effekter för företag. En ny möjlighet ges till att lära sig av andra mer framgångsrika företag och ta del av vad som utmärker dem. Det japanska begreppet kaizen anses vara en del av vad som ligger bakom de japanska företagens framgångar och deras starka position på den internationella marknaden. Men vad är då kaizen? Detta är en av de frågor som vi försöker besvara i denna uppsats där begreppets ursprung, användningsområde samt vilka effekter som kan uppnås genom kaizen undersöks.

Male piglets have been castrated for centuries to avoid contamination of their meat with boar taint, a strongly unpleasant odour that makes the meat inedible. Today boar taint can be prohib-ited by vaccination against gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) using Improvac®. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of vaccination on growth performance and behaviour of vaccinated male pigs compared to surgically castrated male pigs. The effect of two feeding regimes, restricted (SLU-norm) and semi ad libitum, was also included in the study. At birth, pigs (n=206) were randomly allocated to the two treatment groups; surgically castrated and vaccination.

Depression in young adults is a serious condition causing serious suffering for the victim. By finding risk factors for depression the opportunity for early preventive action is increased, which, in turn, may prevent a negative course. Two risk factors which have been shown to be related to depression are shame and rejection. Therefore this study examined the relationship between shameproneness, rejection sensitivity, shame-related events and depressive symptoms. The self-report questionnaires used were TOSCA, RSQ, Shaming index and BDI-II.

In light of the recent scandals in Europe involving food labelling, this study will be focusing on food labelling. This study?s purpose is to investigate the extent of knowledge concerning labeling and presentation of food in the different food stores in Halmstad.The study was conducted out of our own interests with the guidance from the environmental health office. The study included nine different food stores of different size. The focus in this study was to verify how well five selected products follow the labeling rules.

Background. Immunohistochemistry is a useful method in the differential diagnosis between pleural mesotheliomas and metastatic adenocarcinomas in the pleura. Cytokeratin 20 and 7 have been used successfully as markers in studies determining primary location of adenocarcinomas from metastases. The current study is a complementary research of archived paraffininbedded material of cases with cancer origin. This study contributes a bigger statistical material that may facilitate the search for unknown primary site of adenocarcinoma by identification of metastatic cells in the pleura.Methods.

Those scandals have seriously damaged the auditor?s profession and contributed to a reduced trust among the public. Therefore an extensive work to recover and stringed the trust was started all around the world.
