Detta examensarbete har syftat till att utveckla ett verktyg för att utvärdera en IT-avdelnings möjligheter till effektivisering genom att implementera Lean på IT Service Management. Verktyget har utvecklats i samarbete med Tina Eriksson på uppdrag av management och IT-management konsultbolaget Connecta AB. Connecta AB har som syfte att använda verktyget för framtida affärer. För att verktyget ska vara användbart och uppfylla Connectas krav så har fyra mål satts upp. Verktyget ska vara trovärdigt, resurseffektivt, användarvänligt samt underlätta för fortsatt arbete och implementering av Lean på IT Service Management.

This Diploma work investigates internal air ventilated crawl-space in respect to construction and damp. The Diploma work assumes from a general description of crawl-space and general dump problems in ground construction. An internal air ventilated crawl-space is a construction where you take the ventilation air from the building and bring it down to the crawl-space and lets the air circulate before it passes through a retaining aggregate on the way out from the crawl-space. In this matter you get a worm space under the building and a lot less dump problems in form of · Ground damp · Build damp The ground dump reduces through draining around the building, different layer of gravel between the ground and the building and ventilation of the crawl- space. The build dump reduces through ventilation of the crawl-space as fast as possible.

Sammanfattning Den allt hårdare globala konkurrensen har på senare år tvingat företag att bli mer lean, ett begrepp som bland annat innefattar eliminering av icke värdeskapande aktiviteter, bemyndigande av arbetsstyrkan och just-in-time-produktion. Det är inte bara stora internationella bolag som känner av den ökade konkurrensen, utan även medelstora företag påverkas av vad som händer på ett internationellt plan. Det gäller därför att vara väl förberedd inför ökade hot från omvärlden för att inte förlora marknadsandelar. Många författare menar att ett lean-tänkande är det i särklass bästa sättet att se på och driva ett företag. Denna studie undersöker hur långt användandet av lean har kommit i svenska medelstora tillverkningsföretag.

A new site- and construction-law came into effect in May 2011. The new law, PBL2010:900 implies several different changes of the law. These changes concern bothconstructors, people working in municipality and county councils and other peoplethat in some way are related to the building sector. Except from the change in orderof the chapters and the renewed and modernized language, the law has now beenextended with a few new phases.According to the new law a certificate has to be issued to start and finish theconstruction; the construction consulting has changed name into technical consultingand the protocol for the controls has to show what the control is being compared to.This diploma work concerns control visits on construction sites as related to the newlaw. The reason why visits on construction sites are now implemented in the law isbecause the government saw a lack of trustworthiness in the old law.

Due to the globalization today the competition in the market has in- creased and it requires flexibility and produce according to customer demand. In order to reduce the cost of wages industrial companies are now considering moving the manufacturing to low-cost countries. To keep up with the competition in the market without moving the manu- facturing abroad, Lean Automation was developed. The concept of Lean Automation is to reduce the perceived complexity with automa- tion and make automation available for new users and in new applica- tions.Haldex Brake Products are situated in Sweden and want to maintain the manufacturing of the automatic brake adjusters in the country. It is a product well-known and highly exposed to the competition in the mar- ket.

AbstractOur purpose for making this study is to study the implementation, the use of and the effects of Lean within our case objects.  We chose to make this thesis by case studies. The three themes mentioned above is also the main research questions that we aim to find an answer to by this study. We have chosen to do a cross section analysis where we conducted structured interviews to find answers to these questions. The theoretical reference frame consists partly of traditional theoreticians within Lean but also more recent research within the subject as well as theory specifically for Lean within the Health Care sector.The result of this study shows in all our case studies that the Management has been supporting the implementation, but that the implementation process proceeds faster if also the professionals are involved in the process.  To succeed with the implementation there is a great need for good reasons and strives that can benefit the professionals. By the use of Lean our case studies have evaluated its processes, with the main intentions being to reduce waste activities and to create flows with ?pull systems?.

The main advantages they can see is that they are able to influence technical solutions and methods that will be used later on in the production. Therefore it is important to consider when construction workers should be involved in the planning process so that they get the chance to influence in this decisions.When it comes to the decision making the construction workers should be involved in the decisions that are related to their tasks in the production such as technical solutions, choice of methods and materials. Their main duties and working hours should be in the production.Involvement in planning does not automatically mean that the construction workers are involved in the decision making, it is up to them how much they participate.

Bakgrund Storstockholms brandförsvar (SSBF) har sedan bildandet 2009 arbetat mot en mer kostnadseffektiv organisation. Detta är ett relativt nytt sätt att tänka inom räddningstjänsten. Denna typ av organisationer har traditionellt sett opererat utan kostnadsfokus. För att beskriva räddningstjänsten organisatoriskt har vi använt oss av teoribildningen kring high reliability organizations (HROs), organisationer som alltid sätter säkerheten först. Arbetet mot en kostnadseffektivare organisation beskriver vi i termer av new public management (NPM) och lean production (Lean).

Bakgrund: Inom ett byggprojekt är det många aktörer inblandade vilket gör kedjan mycketkomplex. Det finns flertalet logistiska strategier som har till syfte att förbättra logistiken. Enav dessa strategier är Lean vars huvudsyfte är att skapa värdeökande aktiviteter för sinakunder. This thesis work was made to optimize the writing of the construction specificationsat FKA. These construction specifications are created before each plant modificationsthat is started because requirements from the Swedish radiation safety authority(SSM) and internally on Forsmarks nuclear group as constructions / implementationdocumentationThe study was done through seven interviews of two people at three different groupsinvolved in the construction specification and an interview from the group accreditedverification. The four selected groups were selected through an extensive analyticalwork resulted in an elimination matrix where these four groups was considered to bemost involved with the construction specification.The questions asked to these individuals were based on the instructions and sampletext that are described in the construction specification. To ensure the quality of thethesis were to limit itself to the chapters that were considered most relevant toimprove. The analysis revealed a number of points that should be improved, partlyinto the routines when writing the construction specification and when ether sampletext or suggestions should be changed and complemented.

SammanfattningLean Production är ett tankesätt för att effektivisera en verksamhet med fokus på att eliminera slöseri, skapa engagemang hos medarbetare samt ständiga och systematiska förbättringar. För att genomföra detta finns ett antal Lean-verktyg som initialt tagits fram för bilindustrin vilken är en typisk verkstadsindustri och karakteriseras av diskreta produkter. Processindustrin skiljer sig från verkstadsindustrin genom sitt kontinuerliga materialflöde. Det är därför inte helt naturligt att tillämpa Lean-verktygen på processindustrin.Rapportens syfte är att undersöka vilka av dessa verktyg som anses vara lämpliga att använda i processindustrin och då specifikt inom den svenska pappersindustrin. Det görs genom att studera redan befintlig vetenskaplig litteratur inom området Lean i processindustrin, för att sedan kategorisera de vanligaste verktygen efter lämplighet för användning inom pappersindustrin.

The purpose of this study was to examine how pre-school teachers in Montessori inspired and traditional preschools can work with build and construction with the older children, and what views the pre-school teachers might have on the subject.  The study was implemented through qualitative semi-structured interviews with pre-school teachers. The investigational method was chosen due to the fact that I wanted to gain knowledge about the pre-school teachers? views and perspectives on build and construction activities, and how they might work with it. Another reason was to examine how the view on, and the work with build and construction can resemble and differ between Montessori inspired pre-schools and traditional pre-schools.The result shows that there is both similarities and diverseness between the Montessori influenced pre-schools and the traditional pre-schools, when it comes to how the pre-school teachers reason and work with build and construction.

AbstractToday, too many construction projects are delayed and deviates from the budget. Agood project management is the basis for successful construction project. The mostcommon planning methods in the construction industry is currently Gantt chart andCPM. The problem with these is that focus is only at the time of the project anddoesn?t handle the budget.

This study is about to see whether the two models representing the strategies of lean production is to use and apply in different companies. The models are structured in two different ways in which one of them is checking the softer elements of lean production in the form of leadership and strategies. This model is called Lesat and is based on interviewquestions. The second model, called "learning to see" is about identifying flows. This, together shall then give an idea of how mature companies are when it comes to a whole in the concept of lean production, and susceptibility to use these models to their respective companies. The study is conducted in two companies, SKF couplings systems and AQ parkoprint.
