?Den stojande hopen? : Diskurser om ungdomar i två bibliotekstidskrifter 2005?2010
The aim of this thesis is to examine discourses about the user category young people in two well-established Swedish library journals between the years 2005 and 2010.The empirical material consists of 65 texts derived from the library journals Biblioteksbladet and Bibliotek i samhälle. By using discourse theory and methodology I discover several different ways in which young people are categorized in the library context. As a complementary theory I have analyzed the material from an intersectional perspective. The result shows that young people most of the times are defined by adults. Several characteristics such as creativity, interest in modern technology, messiness and need for support are repeated in the descriptions of the young, suggesting that there is clear idea of how young people are.

Today?s wind power plants are only compensated for their reactive power consumption at no-load. As the wind power plants grow bigger the amount of reactive power they need also increases. This is no longer a problem that can be ignored, especially as the net owners are beginning to charge the reactive power they transport.In this thesis a couple of different methods of compensation and their prices will be discussed and evaluated. Problems, such as self-excitation, that can occur if one fully compensates the wind power plant will also be brought to surface.

The reason for improved energy efficiency is mainly because of the variation in terms of acceleration, braking and distance holding are reduced. Internet dating is a relatively new phenomenon that, in using the opportunities of the internet, has taken traditional dating to a new level. The business idea is simple as such. The company provides its customers with a platform that enables interaction, leaving the value creation to the customers. A qualitative study is conducted investigating and mapping the Swedish market for Internet dating. It is researched what the characteristics of the companies are, what the Internet dating businesses in Sweden offer, what the prevailing market conditions are, and lastly what challenges lie ahead for the industry and how they can be solved.
Ett kulturlandskap : Kivik Art Centre - konsthall, ateljébostäder och friluftsteater vid Lilla Stenshuvud
The ambition with this piece of work, a collaborative project between a landscape architecture student and an architecture student, is to design a centre for art and culture at Lilla Stenshuvud near Kivik in Skåne in the south of Sweden. Though the project draws upon existing plans for an institution like this on the site, it has been independently developed and can thus be regarded as a project sufficient in itself.
During the work-in-progress a proposal has been shaped which considers the existing landscape and emphasizes its characteristics. Great effort has been invested in the centre?s location, and thereafter the work has focused on finding an expression for the art centre that connects to the specific character of the surroundings in this part of Skåne.

The workplace has a direct impact on the physical, psychological, economic and social well-being of the workers. A healthy workplace leads to increased health among the employees which also makes the employees more productive (Källestål, 2004). A poor working environment can have negative consequences for individuals, companies and society (SOU, 2009:47).This is a qualitative study that investigates companies? view of health promotion and how they practice health promotion in working life. Five private and five public companies, with representatives from the management were interviewed.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse an elderly care team?s prerequisite to anchor a salutogenic perspective and approach in an elderly care team in Kalmar municipality. The study identifies factors that could impede or promote the anchoring and examine how the organisation aims to work in a single direction even if the multidisciplinary team processes a diversity of knowledge, education and abilities. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews from representatives of all professions in the multidisciplinary team; social workers, paramedical professions, nurses and care-givers. The theoretical frame consisted of a translating perspective, leadership and ideas of interaction and power.

Today, a website might be the first or only impression a customer gets of a company. With this in mind we have focused our study on customer evaluations on websites. Social presence and its impact on people have so far mostly been given attention in the research of behavior in physical environments. However, in the electronic marketplace this has so far been overlooked, which is why our aim is to study how the presence of visitors impacts other visitors on the same website.

When discussing local development attention is often given to the problems involved. Factors like decreasing population and inadequate infrastructure are two examples. Local politics has, however, lately been argued to have possibilities to affect its own development and its chances to achieve growth. Some of the most important factors from this debate are to make a community attractive for people and companies, committed leadership, the local business world with entrepreneurialism and a good business climate. These factors serve as a starting point for this discussion where focus is on the possibilities to achieve growth on the local level and the politics that is used for this purpose.To illustrate the chances to affect local growth I apply the theoretical perspective of regime theory and thereby examine the governing coalitions "power to" govern and not "power over" as the earlier theoretical perspectives in the area.
Kommunikationens inverkan på prestation iett interkulturellt perspektiv
Ledaren har en avsevärd påverkan på medarbetarens prestationsförmåga ocharbetstillfredsställelse. Första delstudien undersökersambandet mellan ledares kommunikationsförmåga och medarbetarnasprestationsförmåga. Data insamlad i interkulturellt, industriellt företag i sexländer, tre världsdelar (N=2568). Resultatet visar ett signifikant sambandmellan ledarens kommunikationsförmåga och medarbetares prestationsförmåga.Ifrågasätta predicerar medarbetarnas prestation i störstutsträckning i fem av sex länder.

This study was aimed to investigate why team sport coaches use group training as a part in their build-up training. Issues covered in this study are: "What motives have coaches in team sports that use group exercise as part of the build-up training?" and "What are the positive and negative aspects experienced trainers of using group exercise as part of build-up training in team sports?". It was a qualitative study, seven interviews were made with team sport coaches that has used group training as a type of exercise in their built-up training in collaboration with Friskvårdskompaniet. The results showed that the reasons why group exercise were used was different from coach to coach for example one motive was to increase the players physically ability.
Verksamhetsutveckling vid BT Products. : En uppföljning och fördjupad studie av en enkätundersökning.
Detta examensarbete handlar om en uppföljning av en enkätundersökning enligt EFQM modellen som genomförts vid BT Products. Uppföljningen består i en djupare analys av undersökningens resultat med fokus på vissa av dess delar. De områden som huvudsakligen behandlas är företagets medarbetare, processer och ledarskap. Tyngdpunkten ligger i att klargöra orsakssamband mellan enkätens olika områden samt att gå djupare in på- och identifiera samt beskriva starka och svaga sidor hos dem. Intervjuer, observationer och statistiska metoder har använts för detta syfte vilket resulterat i att det framkommit möjligheter att förbättra verksamheten i flera avseenden. De viktigaste förslagen till förändringar är: En förändrad organisationsmodell med fokus på värdekedjor Förändrade ansvarsförhållanden och tillhörigheter En långsiktig inriktning mot en styrmodell med utgångspunkt i värden och företagskultur.

This study aims to examine attitudes and conceptions of staff who work with mentally disabled persons, concerning normalization and gender. Six qualitative interviews with such professionals were performed and subsequently analyzed. Since the method of this study is qualitative, no claim of generalizability is made. The interview material has been categorized into themes by means of coding. The result of the study is presented according to those themes.

Delat ledarskap : En ledningsform med potential - om stjärnorna står rätt
Denna kvalitativa intervjustudie fokuserar etablering av delat ledarskap inom offentlig sektor. Syftet är att belysa varför delat ledarskap uppkommer som en alternativ ledningsform.Förutom beslutsfattares medvetna val och motiveringar försöker studien även fånga underliggande bevekelsegrunder samt identifiera eventuellt andra faktorer som kan påverka uppkomsten av ledningsformen.En komplex bild av faktorer såsom faktisk situation, organisationens normer, förutsättningar och omgivningar liksom de individer som befolkar den, påverkar uppkomsten av ledningsformen.Tilltron till ledningsformens potential är stor och farhågor tonas ner. Ledningsformen ses kunna tillföra organisationen synergieffekter och symboliska mervärden och ses som en lösning på olika problem där den erbjuder ett alternativ. En öppen inställning till att pröva nya ledningsformer, pragmatiskt förhållningssätt liksom enskilda individers arbetsrelaterade egenintressen påverkar också uppkomsten av ledningsformen. .
