Ledarskap och handledarbeteenden : om yngre arméofficerares ledarskap i handledningssituationer

Syftet med denna studie är att granska arméofficerares ledarskap i rollen som handledare i den svenska Försvarsmakten. Studien beskriver och karaktäriserar handledarbeteenden i handledarrollen samt vilka ledarstilar som kan observeras i dessa handledarbeteenden. Utifrån dessa beskrivningar, samt intervjupersonernas självbilder av sitt eget ledarskap, är även ett mål med studien att problematisera Försvarsmaktens föreskrivna ledarskapsmodell med stöd av ett nyinstitutionellt och kritiskt perspektiv. Empirin samlades in via observationer tillsammans med kvalitativa intervjuer vilka gjordes i direkt anslutning till observationerna. Resultatet visar att handledarbeteenden kan karaktäriseras på tre huvudsakliga sätt: coachande handledarbeteenden, kontrollerande handledarbeteenden samt handledarbeteenden genom att vara modell. Ledarstilarna i handledarbeteendena bildar en komplex mosaik av både utvecklande och transformativa samt konventionella och transaktionella ledarstilar vilka även visar att de avsedda ledar-stilarna till stor del divergerar från de observerade ledarstilarna.

Bakom kulisserna på Migrationsverket : En kvalitativ studie om handläggarnas uppfattning av den psykosociala arbetsmiljön.

Due to stress, the workplace is a setting where actions of health promotion are of great importance in the perspective of public health. Stress is caused by heavy workload, low control of organizing their tasks and lack of support from colleagues and supervisors. This can lead to cardiovascular disease, depression and insomnia. Due to the health problems that this causes, it is important to examine how senior immigration offices perceive their psychosocial work environment.The aim of this thesis is to examine how the senior immigration offices at the Migration Board perceive their psychosocial work environment. The study is based on a qualitative approach with deductive content analysis and the data has therefore been collected through interviewing six people based on a semi-structured interview guide.The result has shown that the senior immigration offices are pleased with their work environment and that their workload is constantly changing.

Ledarskap inom ramen för ett systemutvecklingsprojekt - fokus på en arbetsprocess med stöd i Vattenfallsmodellen

Many research reports mention the fact that a huge number of all system development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number of failed system development projects. The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system development project, where the development process is based on a specific development or process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I aim to clarify what is demanded of a project Leader for the specific development process and give an account for which eventual Leadership qualities that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for technical competence. Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of system development.

The main aim of this thesis is to study how and in which way the library personnel works with reading groups and their view of reading groups. I also want to study which role the governing- and policy documents have in the library personnel?s work. The following questions were asked.Which similarities and differences between the different library personals outlooks and acting can be interpreted from the following aspects:? Promoting reading, book selections and the Leader's role?? To talk about personal subjects and to create possibilities for personal growth and increased empathy?? To promote language development and reading comprehension?The methods used in the study are a combination of interviews and observations.

The treaties of the European Union decide its ability to act and its institutions the right to engage in different policy areas, the environmental area being the focus of this study. With the recent ratification of the Lisbon treaty this study aims to make out if the type of Leadership the Union showed during the Kyoto negotiations has changed with the new treaty, into a new type during the COP-15 meeting in Copenhagen.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine how Leadership in public libraries is constructed discursively in the Swedish library field of today. The empirical material reviewed is job postings and articles from three library related journals.The thesis seeks to identify what different Leadership discourses can be found by looking at definitions, forms of address, present actors and themes emerging. It also aims to examine the contingent presence of late modern Leadership theories in the order of discourse. The Leadership theories primarily investigated are New Public Management (NPM) and value-based Leadership.The theoretical starting point of the thesis is discourse theory, developed by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. In the analysis a model of four phases is used; in which central concepts of discourse theory help identify the discourses.

Nice girls finish last : Kvinnor i ledande positioner

Ett problem som jag såg när jag var ute på praktik var hur elevernas intresse och inställning till de naturvetenskapliga ämnena för vissa elever är negativa vilket leder till att de inte vill arbeta med ämnena. Tidigare forskning visar att detta intresse och inställning hos barn och ungdomar sjunker med de stigande åldrarna. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilken inställning som eleverna har till de naturvetenskapliga ämnena som undervisas i den svenska skolan. Utöver detta undersöks även vilka åsikter som dessa elever har till vad som ska göras för att de ska få en positiv inställning till dessa ämnen. Denna undersökning genomfördes med en kvantitativ enkätstudie hos fyra klasser med elever i årskurs 9 vid en kommunal skola.

Situation majtal : en komparativ analys av tre socialdemokratiska ledares första maj-tal från 1954, 1978 och 2011

Based on the concept of rhetorical situation, the purpose of this study is to compare and describe the three Socialist Leader's May Day speech from the years 1954, 1978 and 2011. The results of the analysis showed that there is a big difference in how the Leaders chooses to appeal to the rhetorical audience. Erlander, 1954, never appealed directly to his audience which Palme, 1978, did both initially as repeatedly throughout his speech. Juholt, 2011, has a personal and frequent appeal which is repeated throughout his speech, which is interpreted as a sign of the intimization of the public language. It proved difficult to discuss the Socialist rhetoric as one unified form.

The purpose of this essay is to further the understanding of contemporary management theory by conducting an analogy-study of the source to many of the terms today used in knowledge-intensive companies. The way a football club deals with knowledge work differs from how a conventional company deals with it. However, many of the terms, such as teamwork and coaching, are shared by the two types of organization. By using the analogy-method we hope to create a wider understanding for the shared concepts. We have used a hermeneutic perspective throughout the essay, which first and foremost means that we focus on understanding and explaining social phenomenons.

Good conditions in the workplace, fairness in the workplace and the social differences contribute to a general improvement in public health. A health-promoting Leader is working to create a workplace that promotes health, supports its employees and contributes to their wellbeing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the first-line managers in the city of Västerås experience and deal with their conditions and obstacles in the health-promoting Leadership. A qualitative approach was chosen and the selection was six first-line managers working in three different areas of the City of Västerås. Managers were interviewed by an interviewguide and the material was analyzed with a manifest content analysis, with an inductive approach.

Recreation Leaders on youth recreation centres is a professional category, mostly mentioned in the public conversation when it comes to taxes and youth problems. But what do they really do, what outlook do they have to their task, and finally, how are their daily lives like at work? The stories of twelve people represent the basis of this essay which itself consists of two separate studies. Six professional recreation Leaders speak about their view of their own work, based on background, mission, education, ethics and position. The recreation Leaders´stories reflect a worksituation with meetings of great significance andimportant standpoints.

The aim of the study is to examine how the executive Leadership and the decision-making process are shaped by the Leadership environment in a transition democracy as Venezuela. The questions I intend to answer are: What kind of Leadership environment surrounds the Leadership and what kind of consequences does it have on the Leadership and the decision-making process in Venezuela? To answer my questions I will use the literature: Political Leadership in Liberal Democracies (Elgie, Robert 1995, London: Macmillian), together with the method ?The cultural determinist school of history? by Tomas Spencer, later reproduced by Kellerman. The Leadership environment provides unique opportunities for a Leader to gain control over the decision-making process. Institutional structures and the needs of the society are major parts in determining how the political Leadership is exercised.

A wild debate broke out inSwedish media in September 2012, after the artistic Leader ofKulturhuset in Stockholm; Behrang Miri decided to weed out allthe Tintin albums from the children´s library Tiotretton. Hewanted to start a debate on stereotypes in children´s fiction, andwhat damage they do to children who face them. The purpose ofthe thesis is to carry out a discourse analysis of this media debate,and to identify the different views that are expressed on thedemocratic mission of the libraries, what media they shouldpresent. The method and theory is based on the discourse theory ofErnesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe and their concepts are used toarrange the analysis around certain themes that build up twodifferent discourses; ?Freedom of information discourse? and the?Weeding out discourse?.The two main questions are: What views of the public librariesselection of works are expressed in the Tintin debate in Tiotretton,and how do the views relate to each other? What concepts arespecific for the debate, and what meanings do they get in thesedifferent views?In the concluding chapter I discuss which consequences theseopposing opinions can have for the future selection processes ofthe library..
