AbstractRelationships between white women and black men have become a topic of interest in various discussion forums. By examining different arguments within certain discourses, it becomes clear that discourses that have a distinct autocrat outline, i.e. a closed and declaring nature which excludes alternative discursive arguments, also define these relationships as different and deviant in comparison to relationships that does not encompass and include the constellation white women and black men. As a result of the use of autocrat discourses the white women and black men who enter into relationships are displaced and positioned as subaltern. A position which, on the one hand, allows for uninhibited criticism, but, on the other hand, and most importantly, it is a position from where they can be defined by others.

Att göra en meritvärdering är svårt, särskilt när det gäller faktorn personlig lämplighet ? en bedömningsgrund som är relativt svårmätt och som både Diskrimineringsombudsmannen och Arbetsdomstolen ser risker med. Det huvudsakliga syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda vilket utrymme den svenska lagstiftningen ger arbetsgivare i Sverige att i en rekryteringssituation ta hänsyn till arbetssökandes personliga lämplighet utan att göra sig skyldig till direkt diskriminering. Även frågan huruvida det finns en risk för att arbetsgivares möjlighet att lägga vikt vid personlig lämplighet i större utsträckning drabbar kvinnor i arbetsledande befattningar negativt än män i arbetsledande befattningar ämnas analyseras. Uppsatsen anlägger ett analytiskt perspektiv, med grund i rättsdogmatisk metod men med användning av teori om ledarskap och kön.

Erik Andersson: Utanför Murarna: En studie av Ulf Lundells och rockkulturens outsiderpositionering. Uppsala universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, 2007.The main aim of this essay is to show how the artist Ulf Lundell presents himself as someone with an outsider's view of life. This also includes showing that this aspiration is a common one among artists in the rock culture.The aim was reached by studying texts, lyrics, interviews, articles of and with Lundell and then applying theories about authenticity and performativity on this material. In order to put this in a context I looked at a similar material but with a much broader perspective, artists from different countries, genres and eras is here included.The conclusion of this study is that a kind of norm system in the rock culture has developed and Lundell is acting accordingly to these rules. The outsider position has become an important ingredient in Lundell's persona and this position can also be seen as a given norm in the wider context.

The aim of this thesis is to create an understanding about how and to what extent a Swedish expatriate manager needs to adapt his/her leadership in accordance with the culture of the host country. Thus shall different managers? perceptions of experienced management overseas be studied. To accomplish our aim, three different problems have been designed. These are as follows: In what way does the manager?s earlier experiences and knowledge about expatriation affect her or his leadership in a new cross-cultural context? How does the culture of the host country affect the expatriate manager?s leadership? How does the expatriate manager handle contradictory demands: that is differences in expectations from subordinates and the higher management? We have chosen to use an abductive approach in order to do a qualitative study and we have therefore conducted eight case studies to create a foundation for distinguishing patterns.The case studies are based on eight Swedish managers with experience from expatriation. The theoretical framework is structured upon three main themes including; knowledge and skills a global leader needs to possess, the relation between the leader and subordinates, and contradictory demands.

The purpose of this study has been to examine the archival management at the 14 Student Nations in Uppsala. This may be relevant to study to extend the research in the field that Berndt Frediksson calls ?empirical archival science?. Another reason is that the Student Nations hold a unique position as organisations and their archivists holds a unique position from a professional point of view as they mostly consist of students without professional archivist training. I have mainly focused on why the archival management at the Nations looked as they did.

Det har länge varit känt att patientens perioperativa position kan orsaka symtom som förmodas uppstå genom tryck och sträckningar. Positionen vid laparosko-piska operationer anses öka risken för symtom och därför är perioperativ om-vårdnad av betydelse. Syftet var därför att undersöka hur frekvent positions- relaterade symtom förekommer vid laparoskopiska ingrepp och vilken betydelse de har för patienten. Studien genomfördes som en deskriptiv tvärsnittstudie och datainsamlingen gjordes med hjälp av symtomskattning och semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt 60 respondenter i åldern 19 till 75 år deltog i studien som pågick under åtta månader.

Beteendestudier, där man vill undersöka position eller läge hos individer, kan utföras på olika sätt. Videofilmning, direkta observationer och GPS, (Global Positioning System) är exempel på olika metoder för att utföra dessa studier. Det har sedan en längre tid tillbaka varit vanligt att man utför direkta observationer, vilka kan vara tidskrävande. Genom att utföra studier med hjälp av GPS-mottagare kan tiden för studien förkortas. GPS har används i tidigare studier med hästar.

The Telecom industry is facing a paradigm shift, where the industry is converging with Internet technologies and the market is becoming more sophisticated. This results in more demanding customers, and the need for offering more content and services with a focus on usability for the end-users. The operators are starting to loose both their strong position and revenue in the Telecom industry, due to new technology and the fact that other actors are starting to enter the market, offering new content and services. AbstractThe main purpose of this study is to examine which essential traits floorball coaches for men?s and women?s team require. One issue was to see if there was any distinction between which leader traits and behaviors the players and the coaches regarded as essential. Another issue was to see if the coaches? behaviors differed whether he was coaching men or women.

This study is mostly based on previous research, which includes Sub-national actor?s attitudes and regional action towards the European Union. The purpose of the study is to investigate if four Swedish municipalities in Värmland operate internationally towards the European Union and deepen an understanding of their actions. The main research question is: - How can we increase our understanding of municipal action against the European Union? The research questions of this study are answered through qualitative method and semi-structured interviews were conducted.

SUMMARYThe first and most basic skill a rider needs to learn is how to sit correctly in the saddle. This decides whether or not the rider will be able to follow the horse?s movements and use her riding aids in an efficient way. Syftet med denna uppsats är att, utifrån debattsartiklar i Dagens Nyheter under januari ? juli 2009, undersöka vilken social position personer som, av tidningens ledarredaktion, benämns ?flyktingar?, ?invandrare? eller ?asylsökande? tilldelas av redaktionen i ett av samma redaktion beskrivet socialt rum. Undersökningen görs utifrån redaktionellt producerade debattartiklar innehållande orden integration, invandringspolitik, flyktingpolitik, integrationspolitik, invandrare, asyl, invandring, flykting, asylpolitik och med hjälp av Pierre Bourdieus teori om positioner och symboliska krig i det sociala rummet. Resultatet belyser att skribenterna ger flyktingar, invandrare och asylsökande en låg social position i det sociala rum som beskrivs i nutiden, men spridda sociala positioner i det sociala rum som beskrivs i framtiden; gruppen skall upplösas och positionerna spridas. Undantaget för denna framtidsvision är en grupp som av skribenterna beskrivs som ?terrorister?.
