Vid sifferseriell aritmetik används ett antal parallella bitar för varje siffra. För att jämföra prestanda och effektförbrukning i förhållande till antalet bitar behövde Institutionen för systemteknik (ISY) en Layout-generator för att enkelt kunna generera Layout för en sifferseriell tvåportsadaptor. Layouten skulle göras i 0.18 mikrometer process. Antalet inkommande databitar och antalet koefficientbitar skulle vara variabelt. Stor vikt lades vid planeringen av Layouten för att genereringen av adaptorn skulle fungera smidigt oberoende av de variabla parametrarna.

This report deals with the design of a controller for SmartMedia? flash memory cards, based on a hardware description found in the SmartMedia? Interface Library - SMIL. The design was made on logic gate level, using standard cells in OrCAD Capture. After simulation of the design in PSpice A/D, it was exported as an EDIF netlist, which was used to make a chip Layout in L-Edit, a Layout tool for making integrated circuits. The Layout was made using a method called Standard Place and Route - SPR, where the Layout tool places standard cells from a library and connects them according to the EDIF netlist.

This report is founded in lack of knowledge concerning the design and Layout procedureduring a new engine room construction.The prime question is how the engine room takes its form from idea to construction and whathappens in between. We want to give the reader a better understanding in how the work isdone and why it is designed the way it is concerning Layout, ergonomics and safety. Duringthis report we will enhance the knowledge concerning regulations and rules that are of greatsubstance such as SOLAS, Swedish Sjöfartsverket and IMO.By contacting the parties involved in the process in newly designing a vessel and its engineroom, we will assume their approaches and experiences. We will study the work progressfrom planning to construction of a vessels machinery spaces. We will with the help ofinterviews with interested parties get an idea of the approach and also compare the finishedproduct a bit depending on company size and resources.The investigation resulted in a good basis for how a ship engine room design takes shape andwhich aspects are taken into account, however, we found that the existing rules concerningengine room Layout was very vague and was seen as the most recommendations.

This report contains results of our study at CTC in Ljungby. CTC produces heating products such as boilers, heat pumps and additional products to their heating systems.The purpose of the report is to make a proposal how CTC will supply their new production line for heat pumps with materials. The proposal includes a production Layout and a scheme for how to place the material in the production storage.The new production line will produce two different products and both of them have several variants. The line will also have a mixed flow, so the products can be produced in a random order. These conditions demand that the production line has great flexibility and that the material to all the variants can be stored in the production storage.With these conditions as input we made a Layout proposal to the company.

Det finns ett förtroendegap mellan morgontidningar och kvällstidningar. I tidigare studier har förtroendet kopplats till olika faktorer: innehåll, spridning och nyhetsrapporteringens kvalitet. I denna uppsats genomfördes ett experiment för att presentera sambandet mellan förtroende och en tidigare förbisedd faktor ? Layout. Experimentet bakades in i en användarstudie på åtta personer där hälften ingick i en testgrupp och den andra hälften i en kontrollgrupp.

The newspaper industry changes with the society. New trends and developments affect how Layout and design are perceived. Therefore it is important for the survival of a news­paper to catch up with trends and retain contemporaneity. This demands that a daily paper frequently updates its appearance and sometimes even redesign the whole newspaper. Folkbladet, a newspaper in Norrköping, is currently in need of a new Layout. The employees often deviate from the graphic guidelines that exist at the company today, due to that it doesn?t feel contemporary, but also because they don?t appreciate the appearance as it is today. This thesis is based on a study of the Layout of Folkbladet and analyse: which tools can be used to create a distinct identity regarding Layout, which tools you can use to create a clear structure and readability in a newspaper, and how Folkbladet can make use of these tools. To find out about the company?s situation today and their identity, interviews have been made with employees.

This essay concerns the interpretation of house plans in three-aisled longhouses and hall-buildings, in Scandinavia during Iron Age. Full scale house reconstructions need a better basis of interpretations to understand the patterns of roof supporting post holes in excavated house plans. This has led to the thesis, presented here, that the Layout of house plans during Iron Age is based on geometrical proportions. In order to prove this, geometric house plans were applied and compared with excavated house plans in 11different case studies, including the fortification of Fyrkat Denmark. It was found that all house plans in the case studies indicate, that the geometrical proportions 1:2, 1:3 and 2:3 of a given circle must have been used for the basic Layout of the roof supporting post holes, using a compass and a straightedge.
