The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a product in the form of a database that can be used for cost estimates of equipment within bio refineries. Through interviews and literature searches the key components and their costs were identified. The database was constructed in Microsoft Excel with different tabs for different categories of components; these tabs are further divided into three parts: one part with costs, one part with calculations and an information part. Most of the part with costs contains the expenses found in scientific papers during the literature study, the calculating part converts different capacities according to user preferences and the currency to euro (?) from 2010 and the information part consists of references and information about what is included in the cost.The database is a good tool for making cost estimates for bio refineries.

Följande uppsats undersöker hur svensk utbetalningspolitik har utvecklats under åren 1992-2012. Urvalet består av de företag som under våren 2014 var noterade på Stockholmsbörsens ?Large?, ?Mid? eller ?Small Cap? lista. Återköpens andel av den totala utbetalningsandelen visar sig inte vara lika hög som andra internationella studier har visat. Det är istället utdelningarna som utgör merparten av de totala utbetalningarna.

Tidigare studier av Fama & French (2001) och DeAngelo, DeAngelo & Stulz (2006) kring vad som påverkar aktieutdelningar har väckt intresset att undersöka om liknande faktorer går att använda för att förklara aktieutdelningar på den svenska aktiemarknaden. Syftet med studien är att kvantitativt undersöka om variabler för mognad (RE/TE), lönsamhet (ROA), försäljningstillväxt (SGR) och storlek (Size) med grund ifrån bl.a. Fama et al. (2001) samt DeAngelo et al. (2006) har signifikans för förklarandet av företags benägenhet att ge aktieutdelning på OMX- Stockholm.Teorier vilka undersökningen stödjer på inkluderar irrelevansteorin, livscykelteorin, agency problem och pecking order.

This master thesis was written for Arla Foods and the result of the thesisserves to gain Arla Foods in its work with chemical hazardous and to bringnew academic results. The thesis aims to create a common methodology forrisk analysis with the handling of chemicals.The theories displayed in this thesis focuses on different risk managementmethods in order to build up a framework out of which a risk management toolwas created. The main primary data source consists of interviews held withemployees within Arla Foods at different facilities.The risk management tool can be found in appendix K.Available recommendations for how to evaluate risks with chemicals can befound at appropriate government agencies. These recommendations aredrawn up to suite small and medium enterprises and therefore are to narrowto make a good foundation for analysing chemical risks at large companies.With the legislation and government demands in mind, a tool has beencreated to fit a large company?s needs when managing chemical risks.

Course: Master's Thesis in Business AdministrationPurpose: The purpose with this paper is to give an insight, and to compare, the project management of two IT-projects ? one which product was implemented and put into use, and one, which was implemented but no longer exists on the market. Furthermore also examine the critical success factors that influence the success respectively the failure of the IT-projects. Method: To attain the purpose with our study we have chosen a qualitative method. We have carried out interviews with two of the project managers of the IT-project of the two large companies.Result: A couple of problems occurred within the IT-projects of the large companies.

Detta kandidatarbete handlar om de börsnoterade fastighetsbolagens lönsamhet; mer specifikt om de 17 på Stockholmsbörsens Large-, Mid- och Small Cap-listor vid årsskiftet 2010-2011 noterade fastighetsbolagens avkastning på totalt och eget kapital. Syftet var att jämföra företagen och se vilket eller vilka som hade högst av de nämnda avkastningarna under de fem senaste åren, samt att upptäcka udda trendavvikelser av olika slag i jämförelsen mellan företagen under samma tidsperiod. Arbetet utfördes genom att hämta data från årsredovisningar och sammanställa och bearbeta dem i Excel, och sedan med hjälp av samma program illustrera informationen på linje- och stapeldiagram som illustrerade utvecklingen under de fem senaste åren på ett sätt som gjorde det möjlig att hitta svar på frågeställningarna. Slutsatserna var att inget av företagen har haft högst avkastning konsekvent under alla fem år men Catena har haft högst snittlig avkastning på totalt kapital (10,4%) och Balder har haft högst snittlig avkastning på eget kapital under de fem senaste åren (20,7%)..

Transport is an important aspect to take account in efforts to achieve sustainable tourism development. If we do not change our behavior regarding travel, the consequences will be significant for the environment. This study examines the various transport operators on the two Swedish ski resorts if their websites and marketing are different from each other in the mode selection. The destinations are Åre and Hemavan Tärnaby. They studied modes are two Swedish airlines, two train companies, three bus companies and three taxi companies.These corporate websites are studied with a content analysis in which the results of the keywords that have been developed are scored according to different categories.

This is a master thesis from Uppsala University in collaboration with B Locket AB (more known as www.blocket.se). B Locket AB is a large ad-company from Sweden, located in Stockholm.Search engines on the market today are becoming more and more complex. When they were first introduced, they only had one function and that was to produce search results containing the string that the user had typed. Today, users want it to be able to spellcheck, produce more results and sort search results on specific fields as well. Preferably, all these features should not affect the performance as a whole.The reason to why these demands have come up is that users are getting more and more used to internet services as a whole and they want everything to be as easy as possible.The user ability has become a substantially more important area in the computer industry and this needs to be taken into account when it comes to B Locket AB and its search engine.

Under våren 2008 utförde jag mitt examensarbete på Utvecklingsverkstaden, inom Volvo Construction Equipment i Eskilstuna. Uppdraget bestod i att presentera förslag på ett skyltsystem som skulle vara modernt, professionellt utformat och ha ett enhetligt utseende. Den befintliga skyltparken var kraftigt eftersatt och föråldrad.  Syftet formulerades till att utforma förslag på ett tydligt skyltsystem som skulle representera aktuell avdelning och dess verksamhet. Syftet innefattade även att ta fram övergripande riktlinjer om placering, för varje kategori av skyltar.

Although the quality of the projects is positivelyaffected by efficiencyThe aim is to find possible common weaknesses and strengths of the project systemby interviewing a number of project managers, and using the systems in placeexamine the model.As part of the work also includes examining what project managers have to adjust tothe newly implemented system VPMM, and other newly introduced elements thathave been added to improve the efficiency in the futureProject System is a complex system that is influenced by many different parametersand participating individuals' attitude and personality. But then small changes in themodel could have major economic consequences.The thesis has generated results that show common weaknesses among the variousprojects and their project managers' general opinions about the project model. It alsopresents some possible solutions based on own thoughts and those interviewedobjects suggestions and comments..

Revisorn anlitas för att ge ett oberoende yttrande som ska säkerställa pålitligheten i företagensfinansiella rapporter. Denna tilltrosskapandande effekt kan endast uppnås om revisorn görsina bedömningar och fattar beslut utan att låta sig påverkas av andra personers viljor ellerönskningar. Att revisorn är oberoende är särskilt viktigt i de fall revisorernas arbete påverkarintressenters beslutsfattande. Diskussionen kring revisorns oberoende i samband medtillhandahållandet av fristående rådgivning har debatterats flitigt. Vissa menar att denfristående rådgivningen medför positiva effekter på revisionen, medan andra anser att denborde förbjudas då den utgör ett hot mot revisorns oberoende och påverkar förtroendet förbranschen.

This master thesis was initiated with the aim to answer at what level of installed capacity of wind power in the northern parts of Sweden it would be beneficial to improve the transmission capacity from the northern Sweden. During the process of this work the aim has changed to try and create a model that can be used to analyze how well the hydro power installed in the northern Sweden can even out the quick changes in wind power production.To create a good model of all hydro power in northern Sweden is a very large job, unfortunately too large for a master thesis. This report therefore ends with an extensive analysis of the simplifications that have been made and their effects as well as a list of the future work that has to be done.The model that has been created have shown to be effective and produce good results. The conclusions that can be made is that the northern Swedish hydro power have very good possibilities to balance the wind power production. Only a few cases where water have been spilled even though there has been some free capacity has been discovered.

The ambition of this project is to make an overview of the Swedish upholstery industry and to make a suitable complement to the Carl Malmsten upholstery collection.The Swedish furniture industry employs about 20 000 people in 815 companies. Totally the branch had a turnover of 17,5 billion Swedish krona in the year 2000. Of these 815 companies most of them are small family driven companies with low-tech industry. 10 % of the 815 companies stand for 60% of the production. These are large-scale companies and have a hi-tech industry, even compared with other types of industries.

Frågeställning: Påverkas en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse av revisionsarvodets storlek, om så på vilket sätt?Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att fördjupa tidigare genomförd forskning inom detta ämnesområde, genom att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse, och i så fall på vilket sätt?Metod: Studien bygger på en kvantitativ metod där primärdata samlades in från databasen Retriever och omfattar 300 västmanländska mikroföretags årsredovisningar ifrån år 2009. I studien tillämpades även ett deduktivt tillvägagångssätt, vilket innebar att sekundärdata i form av etablerade teorier och tidigare forskning inom ämnet låg till grund för skapandet av studiens hypoteser. Efter insamling av primärdata sammanställdes datamaterialet i Microsoft Excel och därefter analyserades datan med hjälp av bivariat- och multivariat logistisk regressionsanalys i SPSS.Slutsats: I den bivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen återfanns inget signifikant samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse. Däremot, påträffades ett positivt signifikant samband mellan dessa variabler i den multivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen.
