Undersökning: Undersökning av de tjugo största svenska bolagen (sett till börsvärde) på Large cap.Nyckelord: Goodwill, nedskrivningstest, antaganden.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur de största svenska bolagen på Large cap organiserar sina nedskrivningstester och vilka effekter de nya goodwillreglerna har på resultatet och utdelningarna.Metod: Vi har genomfört intervjuer via e-mail med representanter från de största svenska bolagen. Sedan har vi analyserat svaren med den teoretiska referensramen som grund.Slutsatser: Sex av sju företag organiserar sina nedskrivningstester internt efter en, för varje företag, specifik mall. Antagandena som görs i samband med nedskrivningstesterna ger upphov till olika mallar i respektive företag vilket försvårar jämförbarheten företagen emellan. Nästan alla företag identifierar en positiv resultateffekt av de nya reglerna men eftersom inga nedskrivningar har genomförts så är det oklart om den positiva resultateffekten erhålls i ett längre perspektiv. The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine in what way library users are depicted on images at two academic libraries; the University College of Borås Library & Learning Resources (BLR) and the Gothenburg University Library (GUB). 62 images, from websites and information brochures, are analyzed and the main questions are: How are users represented on images? What activities are shown? What is the difference between BLR and GUB? How can the consequences of the representations be understood? Little is currently known in the LIS-field about how images work as constructors of the social reality. The theoretical and methodological point of departure of the study is discourse analysis, new institutional theory and picture analysis.

Background and problem: There is a continuous debate regarding incentive programs in public companies. Since the global financial crisis and the subsequent recession in 2008, the criticism has reached even higher levels. Various regulatory authorities as well as influential external actors require stronger regulations and limitation of the monetary compensation in publicly held companies. Share-based payments are based on the development of the market value of the company. This means there is an existing relation between the owners? and the managers? interests.

Sveriges Radio stores their data in large archives which makes it hard to retrieve specific information. The sheer size of the archives makes retrieving information about a specific event difficult and causes a big problem. To solve this problem a more consistent use of metadata is needed. This resulted in an investigation about metadata and keyword genera-tion.The appointed task was to automatically generate keywords from transcribed radio shows. This included an investigation of which systems and algorithms that can be used to generate keywords, based on previous works.

In this thesis, the flows of reactive nitrogen (Nr) in Scania were investigated and quantified. The thesis was also intended to form a basis for comparison between the urban nitrogen flow and other flows of nitrogen within Scania. The management of nitrogen in society has disturbed the natural nitrogen cycle. This is linked to a series of environmental problems such as eutrophication, acidification, global warming and smog. The method used was Substance Flow Analysis (SFA) for Nr. For calculation and flow charts Scania was divided into three subsystems; air, water and society.

The purpose of this essay is to examine if the municipality has a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project.In Karlstad there is now (2006) a large building project in form of a shopping mall. This project is in its final stage of completion and offers me a suitable case to examine. To undertake the purpose of the essay, the following research question is formulated:Do the municipality have a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project as the Mitt I City project?In an attempt to examine the project and the planning process, three themes are applied. The first theme derives from the hypothesis that the part that initiate the process gets the upper hand as future discussions are taking place in relation to the original ideas.

Bakgrund: Redovisnings- och företagsskandaler som ägde rum på 2000-talet i USA och flera europeiska länder satte fart på bolagsstyrningsdebatten. Många länder började införa regler med syfte att förbättra bolagsstyrningen och öka förtroendet för näringslivet. Sverige drabbades liksom andra länder av redovisningsskandaler, och som följd till detta infördes den svenska koden för bolagsstyrning för att återuppbygga marknadens förtroende för de svenska bolagen. Första juli 2005 tillämpades koden i Stockholmsbörsen för alla bolag på A-listan och O-listan med börsvärde över 3 miljarder kronor det vill säga de bolag som ingick i kategorin Large Cap.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka och analysera hur bolag på OMX Stockholmsbörsen, Large Cap, avviker från koden och om de avviker från samma punkter i koden samt hur utförligt förklarar dessa bolag avvikelserna. Med hjälp av vetenskapliga artiklar som teoretiskt perspektiv vill jag få förståelse för varför koden finns och varför bolag avviker från den samt undersöka om koden fungerar som det var tänkt.Metod: För att undersöka i vilken omfattning bolag avviker från koden och vilka punkter det som bolagen avviker från har jag läst igenom och granskat bolagens årsredovisningar och bolagsstyrningsrapporter.Teoretisk referensram: I detta kapitel har jag tagit upp tidigare forskning som handlar om andra länders bolagskoder och principen följa eller förklara, samt orsaker till varför bolag väljer att följa eller avvika från koden.

Syftet i denna studie är att undersöka förekomsten av resultatmanipulering samt graden av dess förekomst under året för ett vd-byte och året efterföljande ett vd-byte. Tidigare forskning har visat att resultatmanipulering förekommer och att fenomenet i amerikanska och australiensiska företag är kopplat till vd-byten där resultatmanipulering har använts för att sänka resultatet under året för vd-bytet och sedan i syfte att höja resultatet under åren efter ett vd-byte. Urvalet utgörs av företag ur Stockholmsbörsens Large Cap-lista registrerade under perioden 2006 till 2009. Efter bortfall är antalet företag i urvalet 48. Metoden är kvantitativ och består av insamling av sekundärdata.

The evaluation of the function of the feeding of sheep herds is suggested to involve the work effort, the fulfilment of the nutrient needs of the sheep and the feed waste. Mechanisation of the feeding can be very simple or include high degrees of mechanisation. Three different farms, representing different levels of mechanisation are presented. Descriptions and analysis of the feeding systems including mechanisation, work effort and estimations of the feed waste are made on each farm. The herd with the most advanced feed mechanisation included a rolling feed band and mix wagon. The other farms were partly or little mechanised including ad lib feeding from big bales and manual distribution of hay and concentrates. The most mechanised farm was able to feed a large herd of sheep at a low work effort and little feed waste. However, the investment in machinery has to be weighed against the improved efficiency.

An important task for project managers in multi-project environments is to effectively choose the right people to the project team. For organizations, it means being able to prioritize and plan human resources among the various projects running in parallel. The purpose of this paper is to describe how a project manager in multi-project environments looks at the allocation of people in their projects. We did our research through literature reviews and interviews with seven project managers.The research shows that the studied organizations highlight both the expertise and the personal factors in an election. They do not use any specific personality test to identify their staff.

Enligt pensionsredovisningsforskningen finns samband mellan pensionsredovisningsmetoder och volatilitet i total Eget kapital. Enligt Amir skapar redovisning av aktuariella vinster och förluster mot Eget kapital (totalresultatet) upphov till volatilitet i Eget kapital. Along with the rapid expansion of wind power in Sweden during the last decades the competition about favorable areas has hardened. This among other reasons has caused the projectors to look into development of wind power in forests. There are several aspects regarding fatigue loads on the constructions that are severe in complex terrain, among which turbulence is one. The levels of turbulence which are accepted in order for the turbines to face a life length exceeding 20 years are regulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission, (IEC). In order to keep the turbulence below these levels there are three major steering tools to use: The ambient turbulence decreases with height and can therefore be regulated by the hub height of the turbines.

My essay is on the subject of teachers work environment with focus on noise and communication. In the essay questions are raised on how a teacher can influence his or hers noisy work environment. A school is a large work place with many employees and is owned and administered by the county municipality which is an even bigger workplace. How big an acting space does a teacher have in such a large organization?My methods of research on these questions have been to conduct interviews and analyzing documentation from The Swedish Work Environment Authority.
