The scope of this project is to make a comparison of costs associated with wind and nuclear power in order to decide which one of these is the most suitable in the case of an increased demand for electricity. It is also investigated if there are other factors that can influence the choice of energy source.An average cost is calculated in terms of kronor per kilowatt-hour (SEK/kWh) using cost of investment, operation & maintenance and taxes & subsidies. Total investment cost is recalculated to production cost using the annuity method at three different interest rates (6%, 9% and 12%).The comparison is made between three cases of wind power and two cases of nuclear power. For wind power there are two ocean-based (300MW and 100MW installed capacity, respectively) and one land-based (60MW) wind farm. For nuclear power there is one EPR-reactor (1600MW) and one AP1000-reactor (1100MW).

This essay intends to provide an understanding of the developments in the right of public access and recreational activities in the forests of Sweden, and which factors and prerequisites that have affected this development. The forest and its history, along with recreational development has in many ways shaped today?s rights of public access, but there is also an age-old tradition of public access that has affected how we have used the forest, and that also has enabled the development of outdoor recreation. Many are unaware of this, which causes misunderstanding to appear around the rights of public access and how it is supposed to be used.The essay opens with historical descriptions of public access, the Swedish forest and outdoor recreation, to thereby provide a picture of how these three fields have influenced each other over the centuries. This is followed by a description of the current access rights and the problems associated with those, and a description of other countries' equivalent of the right of public access.

In 2007 the project with the renewal of the Vasa Park in Stockholm won the Siena Prize. The architects responsible for the project described how they aimed for upgrading the park within its historical framework. Since the project was a renewal and not a restoration of the park, I thought it would be interesting to study how the architects proceeded with this work. The aim of this essay has therefore been to examine how the last renewal of the Vasa Park has chosen to approach the history of the place. To understand the historical development of the park and how the renewal project was carried out, I started with a literature survey consisting of books, the program of the renewal and articles about the project.

Hur kan samspelet mellan objekt och plats se ut och vad kan det kallas? Genom litteraturstudier och observationer undersöks samspelet mellan konstverk och allmänt tillgänglig plats. De objekt som undersöks är konstverk i tre olika miljöer; en stadsmiljö, en naturmiljö och en park, vilken kan ses som en blandning av de två förstnämnda. Syftet med är att genom litteraturstudier och observationer undersöka samspelet mellan dessa tre konstobjekt och platser och på så sätt försöka utröna om ett konstnärligt förhållningsätt kan appliceras i platsskapandet även inom landskapsarkitekturen. Dessutom diskuteras om enskilda objekt kan väcka medvetenhet om en plats och stärka platsens identitet.

Film is a tool frequently used by teachers, but it is often limited to showing students how historical time periods looked like, or as a way for students to search for historical inaccuracies. The aim of this essay is to study whether it is possible to use two films based on the legend of Robin Hood as a way to teach students how to contextualize gender history. Through the use of film analysis and gender analysis of two different versions of Robin Hood, The adventures of Robin Hood and Robin Hood: Prince of thieves were analyzed. The study has shown that it is indeed possible to use film as a source material for the study of gender history, and that film can tell us a lot about the contemporary view of gender, masculinity and femininity. The didactical analysis concluded that there was no theoretical objection of using film as a source material; however, there are some things that a teacher should be aware of. Although film may be a good way to create a varied study environment and benefit students with reading- and writing disabilities, there is a risk that time-constraints and lack of knowledge of film and its methodology on, behalf of both teachers and students, may make it hard to implement.

Klimatet uppmärksammas under 2000-talet på ett sätt som saknar motstycke i historien. Klimatförändringarnas omfattning och konsekvenser undersöks och debatteras. Frågan befinner sig högt upp på den politiska agendan och spelar en allt viktigare roll i världsekonomin. Behovet av en respons är överhängande. FoU har en viktig roll att spela i framtagandet av adekvata innovationer för att respondera och bromsa den negativa utvecklingen.

Bakgrund för studien är ett intresse för filmens förmåga att spegla ett samhälle och ge uttryck för olika hegemoniska ideologier. Sverige är ett litet land med en liten, till stora delar statssubventionerad, filmindustri och det är därför intressant att se vilken ideologi som uttrycks i de filmer som belönas med Guldbaggar och därmed framhävs som filmer av god kvalitet.Syftet är att genom analys av tre utvalda prisbelönta filmer försöka ge exempel på hur i Sverige rådande hegemoni och dess ideologi avspeglas i svensk film.Frågeställningen lyder: går det att spåra några trender i uttryck av ideologi och hegemoni i studiet av En kärlekshistoria (1970 - Roy Andersson), Pelle Erövraren (Bille August) och Lilja 4-ever (2002 - Lukas Moodysson).Studiens utförande har skett i formen av en innehållsanalys av filmerna med fokusering på deras tema och stil.Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns ett intresse bland dagens svenska filmmakare att skildra och kritisera sin samtid i större utsträckning än vad 1980-talets regissörer gjorde, något som dagens film verkar ha gemensamt med 1960- och 1970-talsfilmen. Det som är svårt att säga är vilken hegemoni eller ideologi som kritiseras..

Markus och Kitayama definierar oberoende jag som ett jag som är självständig och separat från andra individer. Kollektivt jag definieras som ett sammankopplat till andra individer. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka upplevelser kring identitet som en person med invandrarbakgrund har. Målet var även att undersöka vad som påverkade individens upplevelser kring identiteten. Åtta intervjuer genomfördes genom chat, där deltagarnas ålder varierade mellan 20-46 år.

I vårt arbete har vi undersökt hur perspektivet hållbar utveckling framträder i tre historieläroböcker för gymnasiet: Alla tiders historia Maxi, Perspektiv på historien A och Epos historia ? För gymnasieskolans kurs A och B. Dessutom har vi, utifrån historiedidaktisk teori kring begreppet historiemedvetande, klarlagt i vilken utsträckning de undersökta läroböckerna kan utveckla elevers handlingsberedskap. Vår metod har varit hermeneutisk och i läromedelsanalysen har vi utgått från vår förkunskap om historien, en definition av hållbar utveckling samt teorier om historiemedvetande. Nedslagen som analyserats i böckerna har varit följande: upptäckterna, mellankrigstiden och svensk nutidshistoria. Resultatet visar att perspektivet hållbar utveckling gör sig gällande, dock i olika utsträckning beroende på nedslag och lärobok.

This essay is a meta-theoretical study that aims to show normative and ethical implications that might follow from theories concerning representation of traumatic events in four essays from Shoshana Felman and Dori Laub?s Testimony. Crises of Witnessing in Literature, Psychoanalysis, and History and in Hayden White?s essay ?The Modernist Event?. Through a comparative analysis the essay mainly discusses how these writers deal with the problem of narrative.

The Swedish regions are new phenomena, from the start from the new regionalism which started in the 1980´s. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze Region Skåne and Västra Götalandsregionen to come to a conclusion which model of region they are and want to be by using theories of regional identity and identity of politics and see similarities and differences. My research question is: Which of cultural, administrative and functional region are Region Skåne and Västra Götaland striving to construct?   The methods I have used are qualitative text- and content analysis to analyze the regions, by using theories about regional identity and identity of politics. Furthermore, I am using some statistic from SOM-institutet to analyze the regional identity in the regions.   The result show that Region Skåne is constructing a cultural region, because of their strong regional identity and that the politicians are using identity of politics to combine the citizens.

Problem: Leveranser av IT tjänster från lågkostnadsländer till Sverige.Syfte: Att ta reda på hur svenska företag ser på leveranser av IT tjänster från lågkostnadsländer och ta reda på vilka drivkrafter och hinder som existerar. Eftersom Indien är det land som står för de största volymerna vad gäller produktion av IT tjänster så blir det naturligt att fokusera mest på det landet.Teori och modell: Idag produceras hälften av världens IT tjänster i Indien. Svenska företag ligger ungefär tre år efter sina brittiska och amerikanska kollegor vad gäller att köpa IT tjänster från Indien.Metod: Vi valde en kvalitativ metod för att få fördjupad information kring ämnet och genomförde nio intervjuer med olika svenska företag. Förutom dessa intervjuer hämtade vi data från publicerade artiklar.Resultat: Vår undersökning visar på att Indien är ett land att satsa på vad det gäller leveranser av IT tjänster. Att hitta tillräckligt stora IT projekt för att Indien ska ses som lönsamt, verkar vara det främsta hindret.

This thesis is about a part of the marquetrytechnique, scorching. Scorching is made by heating up something, put a veneer into the heated substance and make a controlled burning. This technique is old but still used today and have according to me great potential for development. In my work I wanted to give the scorching greater room then I earlier have seen. I wanted the scorching to be the dominant ingredient for a decorative element in a piece of furniture or an interior.
