In this report the two authors, and project contributors alike, describe their work withdeveloping a solar cooker intended for usage in the developing countries of the world.Specifically, the work aims at developing a new, solar heat driven cooking device, possiblybased upon the current product. This should, in comparison to the current product, be lighter,easier to transport and to produce. Also, the new product?s production mustn?t be more costlythan today and the included materials and components must be obtainable from within theBolivian national borders where the product is currently produced. During the project, certainadvantages with a more efficient, and, above all, a more moderately priced product, werediscovered.

The constant need of energy is something that affects us all no matter our current situation. Whether we are driving our car to work, taking the elevator or using the oven to cook dinner we end up relying on energy. Our whole society is continuously striving to achieve a higher grade of efficiency and the process of supplying ourselves with energy is no exception. The importance of appliances in our everyday life cannot be exaggerated and thus the importance of their high efficiency.Efficiency is already a keyword in the appliance industry with labels, stars and numbers helping us choosing the most suitable option for the task ahead. No matter how efficient appliances often use pure electricity as their energy source.

Since the end of the eighteenth century forest damage caused by the pathogen Gremmeniella abietina has been observed and documented. During the latest epidemic in Sweden more than 480 000 hectares forest land have been injured and this has lead to considerable economic losses. For the pathogen to succeed with infection, spore dispersal and colonization the right environmental conditions is required. The aim of this paper is to describe the diseased stands using site and stand characteristics and to evaluate the effect of these variables on the disease incidence. Further, the thinning performed during the time for spore dispersal and its relationship to injured stands is examined.

Den inre marknaden inom europeiska unionens gränser innebär många möjligheter för dess medborgare och företag. Som medborgare kan man flytta till ett annat land inom EU för att t.ex. studera eller arbeta. Som företag kan man för att expandera verksamheten välja att etablera sig eller sälja sina varor eller tjänster i ett annat EU-land. Den inre marknaden fungerar oftast väl, men naturligtvis kan problem ibland uppstå med tolkningen av gällande regler.

As new ways of using computers are constantly being developed, other ways of interacting are made possible. One of the most desired types of interaction with computers is a touch-screen where the user can actually organize everything simply by using the fingertips. The purpose of this project is to enhance an existing framework with an application that works with a touch-screen device. The application is to be used as a tool for presentational usage. The result is an application where the user by simple means can use a touch-screen to hold a professional presentation.

A property is owned with ownership which in turn may be granted limited rights to acquire the use of land or space in another's property. Tenancies and easements are the most common limited rights. Trafikverket has a range of different rights that are linked to its properties. There are rights that work in favour of Trafikverket?s property as well as against them.

Title: Internal Communication Approach ? A study of the internal communication-channels of the ICA Administration. Background: The ICA Administration is in the process of generating an organizational change with the purpose of improving their external communication. The internal communication, on the other hand, has been put aside and is missing guidelines at the present.  Since the ICA Administration does not know how the staff uses the internal communication-channels they cannot optimize nor develop them. As the literature shows, it is important to choose the channel that is most appropriate for the type of information that it is meant to communicate. Choosing the wrong channel, or using it wrongly, can bring problems consisting of the staff experiencing to receive less information than needed in their daily work. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to explore and describe the internal communication between the employees of the ICA Administration from the existing communication-channels and their usage. Method: Through the initial interviews with the staff, the internal communication-channels of the ICA Administration were determined.

The ongoing change that characterizes the landscape as a result of the development of the society as a wholeis the basis for this thesis. Even though the Scanian landscape still is dominated by arable land, other valuessuch as biological diversity, cultural heritage and economical aspects, has all been ascribed the landscape asmore and more important factors and in some respects, compete with the farming industry about the right tothe landscape. Our demand of more and more space, will of course also affect the landscape. Huge amountof land are used to build external malls and single-family houses, which gives rise to an increasing need foran extended transport system that also is land consuming.It all comes down to: how the municipalities deal with non built areas - the green structure. Do themunicipalities have separate programs describing their vision and objectives concerning the green structure?Literature studies, an inventory made of the municipality programs in the west and south west of Scaniaand interviews with employees at the municipalities clarifies the use of the green structure concept, both intheory and in practice.The green structure concept seems to be derived from the environmental debate.

This paper appeals to professionals working with green questions. It intends to create a discussion about which plant species that can be established in a fieldlayer of a naturelike planting on fertile agricultural land. To initiate the essay, a studie of which values that can be connected with an establishment of a fieldlayer was performed . A part of Tor Nitzelius Park in Alnarp, a so called naturlike planting on fertile agricultural land, was used as a model for the choice of species. With the aid of soil values, photos and a list of current species, interviews with four ecologists were performed.

I detta examensarbete görs en jämförelse mellan de Nordiska ländernas energikrav och klassificeringssystem för flerbostäder. Syftet är att utreda hur de olika nationella kraven styr i respektive land, och om det är möjligt att jämföra ländernas energiprestandakrav på ett rättvist sätt.Europaparlamentet har tillsammans med Europeiska unionens råd antagit direktiv om byggnaders energiprestanda som anger vilka mål som medlemsländerna ska uppnå. Syftet är att minska utsläpp av växthusgaser, öka andelen förnybar energi och skapa högre energieffektivitet. Dock är det upp till varje enskilt land att bestämma hur de ska klara målen, vilket gör att landets byggnormer och egen lagstiftning påverkar dess implementering. Därmed ser ländernas energikrav väldigt olika ut, trots att de är baserade på samma EU direktiv.

Phosphorus is essential to all plants and is taken up from the soil as the ion H2PO4 - (and to some extent HPO42-). Plant availability depends on, among other factors, the soil pH. In order to provide for plant available phosphorus, it is applied as mineral fertilizers and farmyard manure. However, that causes phosphorus leaching from arable land to surrounding surface waters and lakes and contributes to the eutrofication. There are three types of soils in Sweden that are at higher risk of contributing to phosphorus leakage.

För att medges skattebefrielse enligt sexmånaders- och ettårsregeln får inte den skattskyldige på grund av semester, tjänsteuppdrag, eller liknande vistats i Sverige mer än sex dagar för varje hel månad som anställningen varar, eller totalt 72 dagar under samma anställningsår. Lagtexten uppställer således en begränsning avseende antalet vistelsedagar i Sverige, men vistelser i tredje land är inte begränsade i lagen.Skatteverket har dock lämnat ett ställningstagande enligt vilket den skattskyldige inte får vistas mer än 96 dagar per anställningsår eller åtta dagar per månad sammanlagt i Sverige och tredje land för att medges skattebefrielse enligt sexmånaders- och ettårsregeln. Ställningstagandet har ifrågasatts då det begränsar individers möjlighet att medges skattebefrielse enligt reglerna. Mot den bakgrunden syftar uppsatsen till att analysera om Skatteverket har stöd enligt legalitetsprincipen för ställningstagandet. Enligt legalitetsprincipen får ett ställningstagandes materiella innehåll inte uppställa nya rekvisit för tillämpning av lagregler, eller utan stöd av gällande rätt förorda en omotiverat snäv tolkning av rättsregler. Uppsatsens analys visar att ställningstagandets materiella innehåll inte är förenlig med gällande rätt vad gäller sexmånadersregeln.

This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.

Vi har i denna studie undersökt hur repatriater upplever sin hemkomst tillbaka till Sverige efter några års tjänst och bosättning i ett främmande land. Vi har framför allt studerat hur de upplever responsen och bemötandet från hemma-organisationen. Har hemmaorganisationen tagit tillvara på de nyvunna kunskaperna, erfarenheterna och kontakterna från tiden utomlands? En stor del av fokusen ligger på eventuellt upplevda omvända kulturchockar. Studien grundar sig på fem kvalitativa intervjuer med män från tre olika multinationella företag.

This study describes the intellectual ability of a cohort consisting of 120 young women in compulsory care at a SiS institution in Sweden, tested and analyzed between January 2001 and May 2005. The women have been tested with the intelligence tests WISC-III or WAIS-R, as well as the personality trait tests BCT, CMPS and SCL-90, and the personality disorder test SCID-II. This material has been analyzed to investigate how these women's intellectual ability relates to other factors. The analyses show that the main difference between the women of this study and the normal population is their level of intelligence and presence of personality disorders. The IQ level of these women is statistically proven on an average one standard deviation lower than the normal population.
