Detta kandidatarbete uppfördes vid Institutionen för stad och land, Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet, Ultuna, under vårterminen 2012 efter en introduktion till projektet av Ramböll, Uppsala. Målet med studien var att undersöka hur det går att underlätta för fotgängare och cyklister att röra sig utmed länsväg 255 på ett säkert och trivsamt sätt, samt att undersöka vilken möjlighet landskapet har att klara dessa förändringar. Ämnet knyter samman flera viktiga aspekter för en landskapsarkitekt då arbetet behandlar en fråga som är viktig både ur gestaltnings- och planeringsperspektiv samt har stor betydelse för samhällets invånare och för naturens hållbaret. Då sträckan som studerades är nästan två mil lång gjordes studien på en övergripande nivå med landskapets helhet i fokus. I analysen lades särskild vikt vid visuella upplevelsevärden som kan uppfattas i gång- och cykelfart, det vill säga stora landskapselement och variation av naturtyper. Även perceptuella värden såsom fysisk bekvämlighet samt känslomässiga upplevelser studerades.

Birch is the dominant deciduous tree species in Sweden but only 16 % is found in pure birch stands. The majority of the birch (51 %) is to be found in conifer dominated stands. Swedish forest land comprises approximately of 23 % mixed stands and one problem is that for mixed stands there are few management recommendations. The underlying aim of this thesis was to study the management of mixed forest stands of spruce and birch to achieve good timber quality of birch. The study was based on a literature study and measurement in a field experiment launched in 1998 by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

The purpose of this study is to examine whether religious behavior or religious identity changes when a person with Muslim background moves to a Christian country and also very secular such as Sweden. I have interviewed five people with Muslim background that have moved from Turkey to Sweden. In this study I have applied Anthony Giddens and Thomas Ziehe's theories about building up an identity but also Nader Ahmadis theory of migration and identity.The results of this study show that there is a change in the practice of religion but also that this differs between these five people who came from the same country. Nevertheless, a change in the practice of religion can on one hand be as a result of modernity and on the other hand, exclusion of family. It also proves that it is not possible to draw general conclusions on this issue instead it should be looked at from an individual perspective..

Den pågående utflaggningen av den svenska handelsflottan har orsakat problem för svenska sjöbefälsstudenter att erhålla tillräckligt med fartygsförlagd utbildning på grund av ett minskat antal svenskflaggade fartyg.Genom en inledande kvalitativ intervjustudie undersökte vi intresse och eventuell problematik kring möjligheten att förlägga fartygspraktik på utlandsregistrerade fartyg i svensk regi.Vi fann att rederierna var intresserade av svenska befälselever på fartyg med viss svensk besättning, eftersom eleverna då sågs som en rekryteringstillgång. Flaggstatens bestämmelser kunde, beroende på land, vara ett hinder för svensk elevverksamhet. Elevkostnaden i sig var inget större hinder för rederierna att tillhandahålla praktik. Ett uteblivet sjöfartsstöd gjorde dock att kostnaden, i grund och botten, ändå var den enskilt största anledningen till problematiken kring befälspraktik på utlandsregistrerat tonnage..

Möjligheten till val av redovisningsvaluta i Sverige och Danmark har funnitssedan år 2001 respektive år 1999. En undersökning som gjordes år 1997 iSverige visade behov för företagen att redovisa i annan relevant valuta. Hurmånga som idag gått över till annan valuta och varför finns det ingenundersökning på och vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att förklara företagens val avredovisningsvaluta.Vi har gjort en dokumentundersökning som omfattar företag på StockholmsochKöpenhamnbörsen med säte i respektive land. Institutionell teori liggertill grund för de hypoteser som bildas. Den informella påtryckningen är frånintressenter vilka påverkar företagen på olika vis och olika mycket.

Denna kandidatuppsats på 15 högskolepoäng syftar till att beskriva samisk identitet i storstaden, i detta fall samisk identitet i Stockholm. De möjligheter som finns för att känna sig samisk i en storstadsmiljö och de identitetskriterier som är svåra att uppfylla på en annan plats än Sápmi, samernas land har undersökts och analyserats. Kandidatuppsatsen är samhällsvetenskaplig och grundas i kvalitativa metoder. Fem intervjuer med samer bosatta i Stockholmsområdet har genomförts där frågorna riktats mot platsens betydelse och dennas relevans för den samiska identiteten. Betydelsen av plats, den gemensamma historien och tillhörigheten till andra samer visas vara viktiga komponenter i den samiska identiteten.

I Halmstads kommun beslutades år 1989 om behovet av en ny deponi, år 2006 togs beslutetom lokaliseringen Kistinge. Under 2011 låg detaljplanen för beslut varpå berörda medborgarestartade en aktionsgrupp i förhoppningen att kunna påverka politikerna att tänka om ochförlägga deponin längre från bebyggt område. Fenomenet medborgargrupp av detta slag ärextra intressant i ett land som Sverige som präglas av hög tillit till statliga institutioner. För attbesvara våra frågeställningar om de tre aktörsgrupperna; medborgare, politiker ochtjänstemäns upplevelse av delaktighet, process och beslutsfattande i ärendet har vi med hjälpav idealtyper, som är utformade från tidigare forskning på området, försökt fånga derasupplevelser av ärendet utifrån ett legitimitetsperspektiv. Vi kom fram till att medborgarna harhaft en låg upplevelse av legitimitet samtidigt som politiker och tjänstemän har haft en högupplevelse av legitimitet i ärendet om deponin i Kistinge..
