To be able to plan for the expansion of a town, one needs a vision of the future appear-ance of the town. It is the current issues (social situation, supply and demand, political control etc.) which decide what the ideal for town planning is. This is turn is the steering factor of the physical structure of the town. Therefore, the town's structure is decided by these ideals.In this report, I will present planning ideals that have historically been, and which criticisms that have been directed towards them. With reference to these issues, I will present those guidelines and ideals we have today for planning of our towns.

Att använda samplat tal i datorprogram blir allt vanligare vilket leder in på frågan om detta är av godo. Kan tal och text kombineras i en datorapplikation för att skapa effektivare inlärning eller bör en sådan kombination undvikas? För att utreda detta studerades teorier rörande inlärning, cues, kognitiva flaskhalsar samt automatisk informationsbehandling. Utifrån dessa teorier drogs slutsatsen att en kombination av text och tal inte ger en effektivare inlärning. För att undersöka detta empiriskt genomfördes ett kvantitativt experiment med 60 experimentdeltagare i åldrarna 11-13 år.

På vilket sätt kan konst var ett sätt att locka människor till att besöka naturen? Kring denna fråga, sett ur ett landskapsarkitektperspektiv, kretsar det här examensarbetet. Uppsatsen inleds med en litteraturstudie där avsikten är att få en djupare förståelse om begrepp såsom landskapsarkitektur, konst, natur och Land Art. Även vårt behov av naturen och teorier om att fånga platsens själ behandlas. Härpå följer intervjuer med personer som genom sin yrkesroll och erfarenheter är kopplade till mötet mellan konst och natur.

Detta arbete har jämfört penningpolitiken som bedrevs i Japan under 90-talet och början av 00-talet med den situation som Sverige stod inför i början av 2015. Syftet var att klargöra i fall Sveriges riksbank hade något att lära från situationen i Japan och utreda om Sverige befann sig i en likviditetsfälla. Arbetet har haft en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi med makroekonomisk inriktning och använt sig av en komparativ forskningsdesign. Data samlades in genom en litteraturstudie. Avgränsningar till att endast behandla penningpolitiken irespektive land gjordes samt att fokusera på BNP, ränta och inflation.

The intention of this study was to examine the interaction between authorities. More specifically it had a purpose to look at the ongoing cooperation between social workers and staff of special homes of closed institutional youth care. The sanction system for young offenders? reform of 1999 where young people between the ages of 15-17 who have committed serious crimes, can be sentenced to secure institutional treatment instead of prison, aims to counteract the harm which can result from a stay in prison. The social welfare board in the young person´s local authority and the national board of institutional care shall cooperate during the youth?s placement at the special home of closed institutional youth care.

Youth presentation of self on FacebookAuthors: Nicole Dreher & Anders SkoglundPresented: 01.06.2010Purpose: The purpose of this thesis was to examine how the, in the study, participating youths make their presentation of self on their Facebook profiles.Methodology: The method used in the thesis was a social semiotic analysis focusing on the social semiotic concepts: semiotic resource, semiotic potential, affordance, denotation and connotation. A social semiotic analysis of composition was also used with the purpose to gain a deeper knowledge of the social semiotic affordances of Facebook?s composition.Theoretical perspectives: The theoretical base of this thesis consists mainly of Erving Goffman?s theory on presentation of self in everyday life as well as relevant theories to youth culture in sociology and identity in social psychology.Conclusions: The results show that the youth?s presentations of selves mostly takes place in their profile picture, status updates, groups, fan pages and through their communication with other users on their wall. The borders between front and back stage on Facebook entirely depends on the norms that the reader expects the profile owner to uphold.

The findings in this case study are mainly based on material collected during a field trip with a fellow student to Laos in February-March 2005, which was sponsored by Sida through a Minor Field Study scholarship. The original interest was to study a political aid project (Governance and Administrative Reform Project Luang Prabang, GPAR LP) in a country like Laos with very complex preconditions such as one-party polity. In Laos my interest in evaluation of political aid grew mainly because I found out that the two donors in the project, Sida and the UNDP, had reached different conclusions in their respective evaluations of the project.The main interest in this thesis has been to study how donors have evaluated a political aid project. The study shows that Sida and UNDP used, what in the literature usually is referred to as, Conventional evaluation as methodology when they conducted their evaluations of GPAR LP. The study also shows that the main reason for the different points of view that are expressed in the evaluations depend on a lack of dialogue and consensus, regarding for the project crucial concepts, rather than choice of evaluation methodology.

Abstract: A public service sector in constant reformation is a common phenomenon in Sweden. This also includes the municipal care organisations. A central role in those reformations has the public middle chief who often is the one to implemented reforms to the organiza-tion's staff.This study is examining the role of the public middle manager in care organisations dur-ing the implementation of common ideologies value foundation in a present organisa-tion's reform. The study tries to elucidate in which way the public middle managers in municipal care organisations experience their roles, which expectations the management of the organisation has on their roles and how a present organisation changes inflict on the contents of the role. If the middle manager in a municipal care organisation feels like normative for the personal group is another aspect.There are four concepts used as theoretic framework in the study, organization, imple-mentation and public middle managers in a general aspect and the middle manager in a municipal care organisation in a specific aspect.

Hur och varför man upplever en viss fråga eller ett land som ett hot förändras över tid. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om man utifrån svenskt officiellt håll kan spåra en diskursändring vad gäller hotbilden från Ryssland. Ytterligare frågor som ställs i uppsatsen är hur diskursen har ändrats och hur man kan förklara dessa förändringar. Utifrån ett säkerhetiserings- och gestaltningteoretiskt perspektiv studeras sex riksdagspartiers gestaltning av ?hotbild Ryssland? under perioderna 1996-1999 och 2008-2011.

BakgrundPå grund av den ekonomiska kris som nu råder växte vårt intresse för resurser och hur beroende vi egentligen är av dem. Vi blev intresserade av att ta reda på hur lärare i ett u-land, som vanligtvis har färre resurser än ett i-land, löser sina undervisningssituationer. Vi fick möjligheten att resa till och tillbringa tio veckor i Uganda för att undersöka vårt syfte. Ordet resurs definieras i denna uppsats som materiella, personella eller miljömässiga resurser. Några som också uppmärksammat afrikansk skolkultur och som tagits upp i denna uppsats är Palme (1998) och Linde (2000) samt UNESCO som årligen ger ut en rapport om skolutvecklingen världen över.SyfteSyftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur lärare på en grundskola i östra Uganda löser skolsituationer med fokus på resurser.

This paper describes the integration of environmental assessment in Swedish municipality comprehensive planning through a chosen case study. The implementation of a new EGdirective in Swedish law, concerning Assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment, should lead to some changes in the way Swedish municipalities' deals with environmental issues in their comprehensive plans. This could later on lead to new preconditions for municipality comprehensive planning. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the planning organisation in the municipality adapts to new regulations for impact assessment of comprehensive plans required by the Planning and Building act. Secondly the purpose was to partly participate in the early stages of the planning process and thereby indicate and identify possible environmental impacts regarding the aspects of land and water. This was done as a case study in a well defined part of the process.

The aim of this study was to explore how young students can be taught during their first year of learning English towards the A1 level according to The European Framework of Reference for Languages, and how the students understand their own learning. The study was carried out in two different classes but with the same teacher, who is qualified to teach English to young learners. The result is based on the analysis of a total of twelve observations of English lessons in two classes in school year one and eight group interviews with the students. Recurrent ingredients through all lessons were activities such as listening to teacher talk, watching films or film clips, singing songs and doing rhymes, using drama activities, talking about the meaning of learning English, practicing guessing competence and learning new vocabulary. The teacher consistently talked about and taught different strategies for language learning.

Vårt syfte med detta examensarbete är att skapa ett egentillverkat studiehäfte för elever med svenska som andraspråk. Genom egna erfarenheter och möten med lärare har vi fått veta att det inte finns mycket färdigt material för dessa. Vår tanke är att den ska ge eleven chansen att lära sig om sitt nya land genom att se på skillnader och likheter mellan detta och hemlandet. Då vi framställt häftet ville vi se om läromedlet levde upp till våra förväntningar. Vi skickade ut delar av vårt material till tre lärare för varsin förberedelseklass i Skåne, med elever i olika åldrar. Responsen var mestadels positiv och lärarna upplevde motivation och entusiasm hos eleverna..

Syftet var även att undersöka vissa syrisk ortodoxa äldres upplevelser av att vårdas av hemtjänstpersonal.För studiens genomförande valdes den kvalitativa ansatsen som metod. Tematiska intervjuer genomomfördes med öppna frågor för att få del av hemtjänstpersonalens samt vissa brukares upplevelser av omsorgen. De tre teman som användes i studien var bemötande, anpassning och kultur.

Den aktuella studien bygger på en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med en analytisk induktion. I undersökningen har den aktuella forskningssituationen kring skolinspektion granskats. Källmaterialet bygger på nationell såväl som internationell forskning, som undersökt effekter och bieffekter som är förenade med inspektion. Med utgångspunkt i forskningssituationen har även föräldrars, lärares samt skolledares åsikter kring inspektionen undersökts. Vidare har möjligheterna till att verkliggöra skolutveckling via inspektion undersökts.
