People who invest capital in promising projects as a profession are called venture capitalists. They are constantly looking for new investment opportunities. Recently, media have observed a growing interest in forest land as capital investment. This is because several fund and investment company market the possibility of safe return through investment in woodland, both in Sweden and abroad. When an investment in forests is seen as an acceptable investment option, focus turns to nearby areas, namely agricultural land.

Rapporten behandlar en jämförelse mellan den svenska byggtekniken och byggtekniken i ett varmt land som har de motsatta klimatproblemen, i detta fall Dubai.I den här rapporten beskrivs detaljerat processen hur vi har gått till väga med att projektera två olika tomter med samma värde och area. Ena tomten är belägen på Heleneborgsgatan 10-12 på Södermalm i Stockholm och den andra är på Al-Kuwait Rd. På Bar Dubai i Dubai.Förslaget går ut på att bygga de två planområdena med punkthus (projektera bostäder), samtidigt förbättra stadsbilden och få mer uppmärksamhet till varje tomt, genom detta kan vi studera och jämföra byggtekniken och designen i ett varmt och kallt land med olika standard.Vi redovisar det i en Revit Architecture modell samt material och byggteknisk jämförelse.Därmed redovisar rapporten hur studieresan som vi utförde gav oss den information som hjälpte oss att utföra jämförelsen.Ur jämförelsen framgår att det är förvånansvärt få skillnader mellan byggandet i Stockholm respektive Dubai..

The reduction of coarse, dead wood is considered to be the biggest threat to flora and faunain boreal forests. Extensive harvest of logging residues would increase this reduction evenmore. However, the role of dead wood created at final felling for boreal, epixylic species isstill largely unclear. It is therefore of interest to examine whether epixylic species inhabit thedead wood in young, boreal stands, especially species considered to be confined to forests inlate successional stages.The aim of this study was to investigate whether forest-interior species in fact can inhabitearly-successional forests arisen after logging. The study was conducted in young standsbordering dead wood rich woodland key habitats.

This is a study concerning the conventions surrounding death and it´s rituals during the latter half ofthe 21th century. This master thesis studies distributed navigation which isa function implemented in a future network based combat information system to improve the accuracy in navigation for combat vehicles in a mechanized battalion, above all in the event of loss of GPS. In the event of loss of the GPS the vehicles obtain dead reckoning performance through the backup system that consists of an odometer and a magnetic compass. Dead reckoning means a drift in the position that makes the accuracy in the navigation worse. The distributed navigation function uses position and navigation data with measurements between the vehicles to estimate the errors and uncertainties in positions, which are used to improve the accuracy in position for the vehicles. To investigate and demonstrate distributed navigation, a simulation environment has been produced in Matlab.

Andelen utrikes födda utgör en allt större del av Sveriges befolkning. Många av dem kommer från länder utanför EU/EES, dvs. tredje land, och har en akademisk utbildning från sitt hemland. Det har visat sig problematiskt för dessa människor att etablera sig på den svenska arbetsmarknaden i linje med deras utbildning och problematiken är särskilt utmärkande inom reglerade yrkesgrupper. Tandläkare är ett reglerat yrke och personer som flyttar till Sverige, med en tandläkarexamen från ett tredje land, måste därför genomgå prövning och komplettering av sin kompetens för att erhålla svensk legitimation.

Målet med uppsatsen är att jämföra likheter och skillnader i gestaltningen av främlingskap i Ivar Lo- Johanssons roman Kungsgatan och i Theodor Kallifatides roman Utlänningar. Uppsatsen jämför förhållandet mellan stad och land i Kungsgatan med förhållandet mellan hemland och nytt land i Utlänningar. Socialpsykologiska perspektiv på främlingskap, identitet och acklimatisering i kombination med litteraturteoretiska begrepp från postkolonial litteraturteori används för att undersöka hur romanerna fiktivt gestaltar uppbrotts- och acklimatiseringsprocesser. Analysen indelas i förhållandet mellan stad/land och hemland/nytt land, kvinnans dubbla främlingskap, språkets inverkan på identiteten samt individens förmåga eller oförmåga att anpassa sig till en ny miljö. Det skildrade främlingskapets anknytning till en ny dubbel identitet analyseras för att tolka karaktärernas hantering av främlingskapet.

Ship formed monuments from the Late Bronze Age on the island of O?land, southeast Sweden, have never been thoroughly dealt with in previous research, despite the fact that the region is suggested to have had a key-role in maritime trade networks. This thesis aims to address the ship formed monuments on O?land in relationship to the monuments in northern Sma?land and the island of Gotland. My goal is to discuss how the ship symbolism was practised during the Late Bronze Age in Scandinavia from a new perspective.

Att försäkra konsumenterna om att fabrikerna inte använder sig av barnarbete eller dåliga arbetsförhållanden räcker inte längre utan det krävs en bredare kunskap inom miljö och hållbar utveckling för att den trogna kunden ska stanna. Syftet med denna rapport är att kontrollera det nyuppstartade företaget DENIM IS DEAD?s produktion och utvärdera om hur man kan förädla de olika processtegen samt skapa transparens gentemot kund.Metoden som arbetet utformades efter var genom en fallstudie som är baserad på en mestadels deduktiv metod men med inslag av induktiv metod. Där grunden lades genom en utförlig faktainsamling för att i rapportens senare del kunna analysera de hypoteser och problemformuleringar som ställts.Målet med rapporten var att ta fram en metod eller produkt som ska underlätta kommunikationen med DENIM IS DEAD?s kund.

This is a bachelor thesis about arable land in Varberg, from sustainability and it?s relation to local government and management. Arable land has become more important as a natural resource from a global point of view and in concerns of higher demands of food supply, as a result of population growth, higher consumption worldwide and climate change. But the arable land in Sweden is being exploited an increasingly rapid pace and the arable land in Varberg is not an exception of this development. The issue is most topical and the discussion holds questions about a declining agricultural sector, the formal and administrative protection of arable land and because other interests of land use often is given higher priority in community development and planning.

In this project the author made an attempt to, in a short film, visualizean experience of the organic materials that our bodies consist ofand what becomes of it when we die. The intention was to dissect thismatter, break it down to see it in a simpler form and to explore ourrelationship to it, being part of a constant exchange between organicmaterials and having so much power over the environment and otherliving animals. At the very start, the idea was to deal with the relationshipdifferent people have with their bodies. Later in the process, a decisionwas made that the product would be communicating the author?sown experiences of the body materials after studying it and trying torecreate fragments and feelings of them.

The purpose of this work is to raise ideas and interest for land that is very much forgotten,unused and neglected in terms of maintenance and usability. Railroads are often seen as adirty and loud intrusion in the landscape and therefore cities turn their backs on them. Theland around railroads is not considered useful despite its often central location and scrublandis common in these areas.The starting point of this work is the restrictions and possibilities linked to the land withinthe security distance 30 meters from the railroad center. Within this security distance thereare numerous limitations and regulations due to the nature of railroad use. These limitationsare counted for in the initial chapter and lay the foundation for the rest of the work.
