Detta kandidatarbete syftar till att beskriva vad som driver mjölkbönder i Dalarna. I ett land där många mjölkbönder lägger ner sin verksamhet väcks nyfikenhet på vad som driver de kvarvarande. Vid fem intervjuer med bönder har tre teman växt fram, vilka är entreprenörskap, gårdstyp och social hållbarhet. Temana knyts samman och jämförs med tidigare forskning. Studien har samhällsvetenskaplig inriktning och är kvalitativ.

Ever since its conceptual birth, the questioning of consequences due to the implementation of ideas from the reformation doctrine, called New Public Management, has been a common occurance among those who have dedicated themselves to research in superior methods of Public Administration. What this thesis aims to do is shed light upon what value-conflicts may occur within public administration organisations when they begin to idealize the rationalization of economic issues. The goal of this thesis will be fulfilled through the creation of two ideal types of public administration that exist in opposition to each other. These two ideal types will show two different views on how decision-making and organisation will be managed in their respective sectors. By doing this, there will be clarification as to what conflicting values arise with the implementation of ideas taken from New Public Management, as well as defining the fundamental difference between which ethical decision model is used..

This essay is built upon the thoughts of Joseph S. Nye concerning power, and the different ways of exercising that power. The characteristics of Nye's theories are the thoughts about the second face of power, or what he describes as the soft power. The essay seeks to examine what kind of power the US has been in their work for non-proliferation and democracy promotion in the Middle East. It also seeks to find what it is that makes the US to choose to exercise the specific powers.

Hedersrelaterat våld har inga gränser. Det sker inte endast i ett land, av ett folk med en specifik etnicitet, kultur eller religion. Hedersrelaterat våld existerar världen runt, även i Sverige. Mordet på Fadime Sahindal fick internationell uppmärksamhet och folk var i chock, speciellt den svenska regeringen som länge försökte förneka våldets existens i vårt avlånga jämställda land. Hedersrelaterat våld är en kategori av våld som i de flesta fall drabbar unga kvinnor som vägrar att infinna sig i familjens eller släktens normer och regler.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a highly used concept in contemporary organizations, especially in the recruitment process or education of employees and managers. The aim of this study was to examine the discursive production of the concept emotional intelligence and how it, linked to an organizational context, is expressed in web-based articles and course homepages. In total 11 texts related to emotional intelligence and organizational contexts were used as the object of study. A three-stage model was used as a method for analysis. The model included a content analysis, argument analysis and a deconstruction analysis in order to expose what was said about emotional intelligence and how it was said.

VÅRDPERSONALS ATTITYDER MOT PATIENTER MED HIV/AIDS.Emma Svensson & Malin Åslin SAMMANFATTNINGBakgrund: HIV är en sjukdom som är spridd över hela världen med miljontals drabbade människor. Smittan finns i blod, sädesvätska och slidvätska och smittar därför via sexuellt umgänge av alla dess slag samt via blod till blodkontakt exempelvis vid intravenöst missbruk. Ute i samhället bildades tidigt en negativ uppfattning om sjukdomen, och de som har drabbats av den, som än idag sitter kvar. Detta trots att det har gått snart 30 år sedan sjukdomen fick sitt stora genombrott.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa vårdpersonals och studenters/elevers attityder mot patienter med HIV.Metod: Metoden var en systematisk litteraturstudie med artikelsökningar i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl och sökmotorn Google Scholar. 11 artiklar valdes ut för kvalitetsgranskning, totalt nio artiklar analyserades sedan och utgör studiens resultat.

Our study is focused on how the public sector can collaborate with the private sector on a certain issue. The public sector wanted to create a project to increase bicycling in the municipality of Kalmar. Our problem was to develop a sustainable way to collaborate between the two parties. We managed to present a suggestion on how the public sector with communication could improve their Public Relations with the private sector and therefore letting the parties benefit from their differences, thus making it possible to release synergy.Using semi-structured interviews and a workshop, we could clarify the values and attitudes of the parties to bring forth the core values to develop a shared vision. Where the identified differences were found, we used a dialog strategy based on intercultural conflict management as a communication tool.

The purpose of this essay is to examine why some countries in the world decided to support Kosovo?s declaration of independence in 2008, while others did not. The essay is a type of case study, with Kosovo?s independence as the main focus. For the purpose of the essay, main focus will be on the United States of America, Russia, China and Serbia.

Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att studera om kapitalkostnaden redovisas och hur den skiljer sig mellan svenska och holländska bolag, samt undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar den.Metod: Studien har genomförts med en kvantitativ metod, syftet med undersökningen uppfylls genom en deduktiv ansats. I undersökningens empiri ingår observationer av 488 årsredovisningar. I sekundärdata ingår de fyra oberoende variablerna land, år, storlek och soliditet. Multipel regressionsanalys, samt linjär sannolikhetsmodell har använts.Resultat & slutsats: Den multipla regressionsanalysen visar ett signifikant samband mellan den beroende variabeln, vilken procentsats kapitalkostanden redovisas till, och oberoende variablerna storlek och soliditet. Större företag, redovisar en lägre kapitalkostnad, företag med högre soliditet redovisar en högre kapitalkostnad.

Social inequality, economic imbalances and greenhouse gas emissions are some of the greatest risks threatening society today. Society has become more aware of these risks and has started to demand firms to take more responsibility. During the last 30 years firms and mainly large firms has chosen to work with something called CSR. CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility which is the work firms engage with to take responsibility for environment and society as a whole. Scientists and business people has taken two sides towards CSR, one side argues that CSR cost more than it tastes and the other side argues that firms which engage with CSR will gain economic benefits.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find out how educationalists who are currently working in school-environments feel about antibullyingprograms. Do they think that the programs are working and do they feel that the measures that they use work as planned? The reason why I choose to investigate this topic is that it will always be at topic interesting to study. Bullying will unfortunately always exist in some way. The whole survey is made in a small/medium seized municipality in Sweden with about 12 000 inhabitants.

Vår produktion består av en speltidning, i både digital och tryckt form, som kretsar runt ett community av skribenter och forumiter. Målet var att skapa en oberoende tidning med fokus på åsikter och upplevelser, där majoriteten av det redaktionella materialet var skrivet av läsare. Vårt arbete gick ut på att formge, illustrera och distribuera denna tidning, men även att söka annonser, utforma en webblösning för kommunikation mellan användarna samt bedriva övrig företagsverksamhet (så som externa beställningsjobb inom media) för att ro i land projektet..

Organic agriculture is financially promoted in Sweden by special environmental support and as consumers we are all encouraged to buy organic food. At the same time scholars at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences claim that organic farming does not provide any environmental benefits. The main criticism is that organic farming has lower yields than conventional, which means that more land is needed to produce the same amount of food as in conventional farming, leading to deforestation and loss of biodiversity. As for climate change, the critics claim that the significantly higher productivity in conventional crop production compared to organic, releases surplus land, which could be used for bio-fuel production and thereby replace the fossil fuels. The critics also claim that organic farming causes higher nutrient leaching than conventional.

This paper deals primarily with the developmental potential and use of court -based mediation in Swedish law, and its relation to court-based conciliation and the judicial procedure as means to end a conflict.  In Chapter 42, Section 17 of the Swedish Code of Judicial Procedure, a judge, before the parties have their main hearing, can act as a mediator between the parties to settle the dispute. The judge should, according to the law, always try to make the parties come to an agreement before the main hearing. This obligation can be fulfilled either through the use of court-based conciliation, or court based mediation. Mediation as such is rarely used in Sweden, and one of the goals of this essay is to try to provide a tentative answer to why that might be the case.  The second goal is to try to find a consistent, yet flexible notion, of the concept of ?jurisdiction?, and to provide an explanation for the relation between mediation as an alternative method for dispute resolution and the judicial procedure.                                                                                                                                            .

Sverige är ett land där tillgången av råvaror från det egna landskapet påverkats av de fyra årstiderna. Dagens Sverige har blivit berikat av invandring och det är lätt att tillgå alla möjliga råvaror under hela året. Har dagens svenskar en mattradition tydlig nog att definieras av studenter som temporärt vistas i detta avlånga land?Syftet med följande uppsatsarbete var att undersöka vad utländska studenter som vistats temporärt i Sverige anser och upplever vara svensk smak.För att undersöka syftet valdes intervjuer som metod och då svaren inte kunde mätas blev forskningsmetoden kvalitativ. För att öka trovärdigheten i arbetet gjordes ett urval av de studenter som skulle intervjuas.
