Barriers to Provide Cross Border Services/Case Study Nordea

There is an increase of financial integration, which can be seen in recent mergers of banks, financial institutions etc. in the European Union especially in the Nordic countries. However there are some weaknesses in providing consumers cross border services in the sector of banking, such as cross border bank account transfer of payments. The existing transaction costs do not encourage cross border services. Nevertheless a customer of a global or European bank can anticipate to be treated the same way in all of its branch offices inside the EU countries.

In the directive 2008/104/EC on Temporary agency work there is a regulation concerning that there shouldn?t be any restrictions or prohibitions in national legislation if it can not be attributed to the public interest. According to that the purpose of this paper is to investigate whether the Swedish law about reemployment in 25 § LAS is a restriction for temporary work agencies, it?s role on the labor market and also to investigate what consequences a restriction can have from a diversity perspective. To fulfill the purpose I have been using a legal dogmatic method based on determination of the current law.I have by the legal research determined that reemployment is not a restriction for temporary work agencies.

Flen : Om stagnation i skuggan av Stockholm

This thesis aims at analyzing why the municipality of Flen, in the eastern part of Sweden, has experienced strong depopulation for the last forty years in spite of its relative vicinity to Stockholm. The study uses current theories on regional developement, population theory and theories on regional enlargment to help explain and to evaluate the different regional factors that affect the developement of Flen on the local level. The thesis is primarily focused on the subject of regional policy and strategies to meet regional depopulation. The study also gives a presentation of the strategies of major regional institutions as well as analyzing what impact regional policy have on local policy in the municipality of Flen.Interviews with local officials, politicians and other people representing the population of Flen were carried out to achieve a better understanding of the specific challenges that the municipality faces and of the measures that are taken to meet them. Regional policy in Sweden prioritises measures that promote regional enlargment to link the housing and labour markets together with the regional infrastructure.

Etnisk diskriminering i rekryteringssituationer : Hur skyddet ser ut i Sverige och vad arbetsgivare kan göra för att förhindra diskriminerande rekryteringar

Ethnic discrimination is still a problem in the Swedish employment market. The Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination received 154 complaints relating to discrimination due to ethnicity in the working life in 2012. In addition, reported unemployment rates in Sweden differ markedly between native-born and foreign-born. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how protection against ethnic discrimination in recruitment looks like in Sweden and describe different methods an employer may use to prevent that ethnic discrimination occurs in recruitment situations. The first and second issue of the essay concern what protection there is in Sweden against ethnic discrimination in recruitment situations, based on international and national law. The traditional legal dogmatic method, which describes the valid law, is used in these sections.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar arbetssituationen för telefonintervjuare på ett marknadsundersökningsföretag, de lägst stående arbetarna i ett hierarkiskt uppbyggt företag.Fokus ligger på arbetarnas reflektioner kring sin arbetssituation och på hur företaget är uppbyggt, den fysiska och sociala miljön. Ambitionen är att få en inblick i hur de anställda upplever sitt arbete samt hur arbetssituationen kan påverka dem som individer. Intresset ligger även i att nå svar på frågor som i hur pass hög grad de anställda känner att de kan påverka sin arbetssituation och hur pass delaktiga de känner sig i arbetsprocessen. Den centrala frågeställningen är: Hur ser arbetssituationen ut och varför ser den ut som den gör? Hur ser arbetarens syn på sin arbetssituation ut och hur kan arbetssituationen på företaget påverka individen?Uppsatsen är kvalitativ till sin natur.

Ungt chefskap inom kommunal äldreomsorg: en empirisk studie av hur unga chefer upplever sin yrkesroll som chef i förhållande till sin ålder

The purpose of this study was to examine how young managers (26-32 years old) in municipal old-age care organizations, in Skåne and Blekinge, experience their professional roles as managers in relation to their age. One of the questions asked in this study was whether managers experienced that their age affected their managerial position, and in that case, how? In order to investigate this, a qualitative method was used, including interviews and observations. Seven interviews with young managers were conducted. My approach in the working process was influenced by Grounded theory as defined by Glaser and Strauss (1968).

"Vi kan ju inte leva i ett land som är tvådelat" : En kvalitativ undersökning om hur situationen ser ut för invandrade akademiker på den svenska arbetsmarknaden

Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa invandrade akademikers svårigheter på den svenska arbetsmarknaden och empirin består av sex intervjuer; varav fem arbetsförmedlare och en introduktionsförmedlare. Frågeställningen lyder: Vilka hinder finns och hur ser situationen ut på den svenska arbetsmarknaden för invandrade akademiker?Jag använder mig av empirin som består av intervjuer och belyser den med teorier, varav den övergripande teoribildningen är Erving Goffmans teori i boken Stigma - Den avvikandes roll och identitet. Bakgrunden till uppsatsen är statistik från integrationsverket som visar på att sysselsättningsgraden för inrikes födda ligger på 75 % medan den för utrikes födda ligger på 59 %. Statistiken visar även att invandrare, även de med akademisk utbildning, ofta hänvisas till vissa branscher, som industri och vårdyrken, och även till lågbetalda arbeten.

Att växa med gränser : Tillsynens hindrande och möjliggörande för ungdomars psykosociala utveckling på hem för vård eller boende

Ungdomar på hem för Vård eller Boende (HVB-hem) har ofta problematiskt beteende och är i behov av skydd, säkerhet och gränssättning. HVB-hem förväntas utifrån lagstiftning bereda ungdomar vård och behandling för att motverka en ogynnsam utveckling. Inspektionen för vård och omsorg (IVO) ansvarar för tillsynen över verksamheterna. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att intervjua personal på HVB-hem och tillsynsmyndigheten IVO för att undersöka deras uppfattning om hur vård och behandling på HVB-hem bör bedrivas. Vidare syftade studien till att urskilja huruvida lagstiftningen kan tolkas på olika sätt och vilka konsekvenser detta får för vården och behandlingen för ungdomar avseende deras behov av gynnsam psykosocial utveckling.

There is an uncertainty in the market for grain forcing the meat/milk producers to review alternative feeds to a larger extent, in order to get control over the feed costs. This has led to that the meat/milk producers need to have a good knowledge regarding how the different feeds influences the animals and which technical equipment to use for handling. For those that produce their own feedmix, there is a need to put interest in new crops and their characteristics to be able to get the knowledge of what is required for their own production. It is beneficial to keep an open dialogue with advisors to be updated in new crops and new technology for feeding. When mixing feed at farm level, the legislation is not very clear since it the target group is large scale mixing plants. We have brought up the most important rules and regulations from the EU parliament Council as well as the ones from the Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV), regarding feed mixing on farm and factory level. We have studied beans and pea at two different moisture levels, in order to evaluate how the moisture level affects the distribution of particles when milling with a plaitmill and a hammermill.

Vad har påverkat utvecklingen av den etiska klädmarknaden? - En jämförande kvalitativ studie av Storbritannien och Sverige

There is a growing interest for ethical consumption, in general as well as in the clothing industry. The consumption of ethical clothes is a complex phenomenon though, where aspects such as quality, style, function, price, time assets, accessibility and ethical attitudes affect the decision making. Researches that have been executed show the diversities in development between different countries. There are fairly strong indications that the ethical clothing market is more advanced in the United Kingdom than in Sweden and therefore these two countries are objects of this research. The aim with this thesis is to describe and explain what have affected the development of the ethical clothing market in the United Kingdom compared to Sweden. For that reason a qualitative approach has mainly been used, where deep interviews with people within the ethical clothing industry have contributed to most of the empirical part. As a complement secondary data such as statistics of the two countries have been used in order to investigate our area. One useful tool, among others, to investigate the macro environment is the SLEPT model.
