Aim: The aim of this study was to examine health professionals´ experiences of giving advice regarding sleep to parents of infants and to perform and evaluate an intervention in the form of introducing information about the sleep of infants.Method: The study was designed as an intervention study with a qualitative approach where data was collected from two focus groups in the form of interviews. The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen på sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. In this thesis I set out to study how the reading of fictional literature is viewed, legitimatized and operationalized in two educational domains: the recently revised steering documents that all Swedish teachers must relate to, as well as a selection of teaching materials designed for education in the Swedish language for upper secondary school. The teaching material I have studied has been recently updated in order to correspond with the new steering documents. I relate my analysis to previous research about the use of fiction in education, and I also combine my analysis of the two educational domains to see whether the underlying intentions of the steering documents have influenced the revision of the teaching material. The outcome indicates that the steering documents? previous focus on culture has diminished although a certain insecurity as to how to use the concept and deal with the issue of whose culture should be taught can be identified.

Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka om det går att integrera en inomhusantenn i ett textilt material. Rapporten utgår från en design breif från företaget Teracom Group som är en del av kampanjen ?The Optimal Indoor Antenna?. Problemet som uppstått är att Boxer Danmark anser att den danska populationen inte tycker att de befintliga inomhusantennerna är tillräckligt estetiskt tilltalande. Detta problem har det forskats kring genom litteraturstudier, empiriska studier, material- och designstudier samt produktutveckling.

Detta examensarbete behandlar fenomenet att använda djurkroppar som material. Studiens syfte är att undersöka fenomenet döda djur och djurkroppar i konst, hantverk och design, och lyfta fram på vilket sätt döda djur används och hur användandet kan tolkas och förstås. Teorin belyser relationen djur och människa ur historiskt perspektiv, hur djur framställts inom konsten, samt den etiska aspekten. Metod och material består i en analys utifrån texter och medier, och en kvalitativ intervju med Märta Mattsson, som skapar smycken av främst insekter. Studien visar på att djur har varit symbol för många olika saker som mod, tapperhet, häxkonst och erotik.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka elevers upplevelse av en virtuell laboration i matematik och av laborationens inverkan på deras motivation att lära och intresse för ämnet, på deras förståelse av stoffet och möjligheten till meningsfullt lärande och slutligen på deras skicklighet och arbetssätt. Även omfattningen av elevernas användning av dator och internet för skolarbete undersöktes för att ge en bakgrundsbild. En serie laborativa uppgifter placerades i följd på en webbsida. Uppgifterna tog början i det just behandlade momentet räta linjens ekvation och gick sedan steg för steg vidare till derivatans definition. Eleverna genomförde laborationen inom ramen för ordinarie matematikkurs. I en enkät efter laborationen besvarade eleverna frågor om hur de upplevde sitt lärande.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur olika pedagoger uppfattar och beskriver möjligheter i sitt arbete med att underlätta och hjälpa elever i deras matematiska utveckling. Mitt underlag baseras på åtta kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med utvalda pedagoger från förskoleklass till och med skolår 9. I litteraturdelen belyses kommunikationens betydelse för den tidiga matematikundervisningen och tidigare forskning och undersökningar kring mate matiksvårigheter presenteras. Betydelsefulla aspekter i det pedagogiska arbetet med att möta alla elevers olika behov samt exempel på utformningen av det specialpedagogiska arbetet och stödet utifrån olika perspektiv exemplifieras också. Samtliga pedagogerna i denna studie framhåller elevernas språkliga kompetens som betydelsefull.
