Denna studie diskuterar hur kulturarv, i detta fall Friluftsmuseet Gamla Linköping, Àr uppbyggt och hur dess utformning gör att ansprÄk pÄ historisk representation och autenticitet. De tre mÀn som deltog som informanter i denna studie vet att Gamla Linköping Àr konstruerad genom omlokalisering av gamla byggnader till platsen, vilket skapar bilden av en liten stad i början av 1900-talet. Under intervjuerna med informanterna, frÄgade jag om de upplever Gamla Linköping som antingen ett museum eller en stadsdel - och svaret var komplex. I huvudsak ansÄg informanterna att Gamla Linköping Àr ett levande samhÀlle som illustrerar det förflutna.Jag har genomfört denna studie genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och deltagande observationer pÄ Adventsmarknaden i Gamla Linköping. This essay tries to show how The Swedish Museum of Architecture, Stockholm, with the exibition Architecture in Sweden - Function, Design and Aesthetic through the Ages, presents and represents architecture. It is stated that this is done in a multi-perspectival, multimedial fashion, with the aid of, for example, photography, models and mixed material surrounding the wide concept of ?architecture?. One chapter discusses the relationships between the exhibition on site, the exhibition catalog and the museumÂŽs website. Another chapter argues that there can be no essential or perfect representation of architecture, although this utopian wish most certainly exists even today.

Jag ville skriva om Sven Ljungberg och undersöka hur han arbetar, och pÄ vilket sÀtt han lyckats att bli profet i sin egen hemstad. Man trÀffar pÄ hans konst pÄ mÄnga platser, till exempel utsmyckningen av predikstolen i Hinneryds kyrka. Förutom att det finns ett museum i hans namn har det skrivits mycket bÄde av och om Sven Ljungberg. Till exempel utkom 1985 Anne Lidéns biografi Sven Ljungberg, mÄlare. Jag vill karakterisera den som en hyllning till hela konstnÀrskapet.

This classification system is used in regional museums and they do often have large collections of pictures. The regional museums have their main focus of culture history. Projektets utgÄngspunkt Àr ett nytt konstmuseum i Uppsala, i omrÄdet bakom Uppsala centralstation, som nyligen genomgÄtt ett ansiktslyft.Museets lÄngsmala karaktÀr har hÀmtats frÄn det intilliggande godsmagasinet och frÄn tomtens form. Genom byggnaden har ett diagonalt strÄk öppnats, för att ge möjlighet Ät fotgÀngare att passera genom byggnaden och för att skapa liv och rörelse pÄ platsen.Genom fönstren i passagen kan förbipasserande fÄ en skymt av vad som hÀnder inuti muséet. I passagen ligger museets entré, den pedagogiska verksamheten och ett kafé för allmÀnheten.Museets fasad Àr inspirerad av den arabiska mashrabiyan. Byggnaden har fönster lÀngs hela fasaden, som i sin tur Àr tÀckta av skÀrmar tillverkade av strÀckmetall. Ljuset tillÄts komma in i byggnaden samtidigt som strÀckmetallen tÀcker fasaden och bevarar nÄgot av museets hemligheter för förbipasserande.Museets inre vÀggar bestÄr av massiva betongskivor, placerade i ett rutnÀt som fÄtt sin riktning av passagen genom huset.

Historiska museets intryck som museum Àr inte det högst vÀrderade bland Lundabor - för mÄnga förmedlar byggnaden snarare kÀnslan av en förvaltnings- eller institutionsbyggnad. Miljön anses varken vara inbjudande eller en museimiljö. Den intill liggande Tegnérsplatsen, belÀgen pÄ museets baksida vÀcker Ànnu mindre intresse hos allmÀnheten. This paper deals with testing the method Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) on the copy of the Piraeus-lion in Historic Museum in Stockholm. The purpose is to find out if it is possible to gather more information about the runic inscriptions. RTI is a method that records the surface normal of individual pixels in a digital photograph by analyzing the impact of light coming from different angles of entrance. RTI produces sort of a 3D-image of the object. There will be an overview of earlier interpretations of the runic scripts written on the lion as well as an overview of Varangians in the southeast.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur tvÄ lÀnsmuseer samarbetar med ÀldrevÄrden. Anledningen till att jag valde detta Àmne var att jag upplever att Àldre personer och Àldreboenden sÀllan diskuteras i litteraturen och undervisningen. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka hur samarbetet mellan ÀldrevÄrden och respektive museum ser ut samt att pÄ ett mer teoretiskt plan undersöka vilka minnen som stimuleras och hur man kan koppla teman och föremÄl till Performance theory. Mina frÄgestÀllningar överensstÀmmer med syftet, de handlar alltsÄ om hur samarbetet ser ut, vilka minnen museerna vill stimulera och hur man kan koppla teman och föremÄl till performance theory. Mina teoretiska utgÄngspunkter har sÄledes varit performance theory, teorier om personligt och kollektivt minne samt reminiscensmetoden.

The survey aims to problematize masculinity in the exhibitions of the museum.  In what way is masculinity interpreted and valued in exhibitions? What is the attitude towards masculinity in gender oriented museological texts? This study investigates in which way masculinity is written about ? how interpretations of masculinity emerge in the texts and what consequences this may have.The survey is based on the method of discourse analysis and the material is processed from a gender perspective. The source material consists of museological texts dealing with the topic of gender and museology, which also is the core material. A complement to this is a selection of exhibition catalogs from museums as well as reviews which are also based on art exhibitions. The main point of the source material consists of the museological texts.The survey highlights that the gender-conscious museological discourse understands, interpret and evaluate masculinity on a more or less given regulatory framework.

This paper is an account of the inventory I've made of documents in the archive at Museum Gustavianum, Collections storage Husbyborg, relating to the excavations in Asine, Greece, in the 1920s. The aim of this inventory has been to establish which of the documents in the Husbyborg archives that belong to the department of Classical Studies at Uppsala University. Documents belonging to other archives have been found alongside the one mentioned above and those are the Original documentation (loan from Carolina) and the personal archive of Professor Axel W. Persson. The documents have been arranged according to the General Archive Scheme (AllmÀnna arkivschemat) seeing that the department of Classical Studies already had a series named Documents relating to the departments archeological collections, and the inventory I've made will be incorporated with that.

In this essay I try to look into how to bring a new concept to an already established Viking village and how to develop the existing one. This essay also sheds light on some negative sides that a Viking village can experience in their activity.I have interviewed responsible persons at three different Viking villages: Foteviken Museum and Viking Reserve, Fornföreningen Fibulas Viking village and VikingaTider. I have also examined different kinds of literature dealing with my chosen Viking villages.I came to the conclusion that I should have chosen an other Viking village than VikingaTider because a lot of VikingaTiders activity hasnŽt really started yet. On the other hand it has been interesting to see how they are trying to start the activity and which their plans are. I could have chosen an other already established Viking village to get a more varied material.There are a lot of things that Fibula can do to improve, develop and bring new aspects to their concept.I have found both advantages and disadvantages with the different Viking villages activity and strategi.Different questions about authenticity has shown to be the most difficult problem.
