Background:Alzheimer's disease is a disease that primarily affects the elderly but also younger people. Alzheimer's disease is a type of dementia which means that you get changes in the cerebral cortex and cells gradually die. The disease causes memory loss and things that were obvious before will be difficult for the sufferer. Alzheimer's disease also affects next of kin to a large degree; they will have to take a great responsibility. The next of kin are entitled to support from healthcare.Aim:The aim was to highlight next of kin' experiences of healthcare to their family members with Alzheimer's disease.Method: The study was based on narratives, which in this case means analysis of autobiographies.

Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancersjukdomenhos kvinnor i Sverige. Den viktigaste behandlingsmetoden är kirurgi där mastektomiär en metod. Bröstet är en del av den kvinnliga identiteten och därför kanförlusten av ett bröst påverka kroppsbilden. Syftet med studien varatt beskriva kvinnors upplevelser efter en mastektomi till följd avbröstcancer. Metod som använts var en allmän litteraturstudie med en systematisksökning och beskrivande design.

This essay concerns dance as an exhibition object by examining the permanent exhibition at The Museum of Dance in Stockholm, Dansmuseet. Due to its dependence on the temporality and movement of the lived body, dance does not easily lend itself to being exhibited in a traditional exhibition display; and since the live dance performance itself is ostensibly absent at the exhibition display, other means of representation must be relied upon in order to evoke the exhibition visitors? experiences of time and movement as well as the feeling of dance. Starting from a phenomenological first-person perspective, as an exhibition visitor, I present three ways in which such experiences may come about. The cross-section of the experience evoked and the means that trigger them are intermedial, spatial, and performative taking their departure in the visitor?s pre-understanding of dance..

Ett gemensamt drag i den tidigare forskningen om Stina Aronsons modernism har varit att betona Artur Lundkvists betydelse. Den här uppsatsen undersöker en roman som utkom före det att Aronson hade någon kontakt med Lundkvist, Två herrar blev nöjda från 1928, i syfte att nyansera nämnda historieskrivning. Romanen undersöks utifrån en modernistisk diskurs baserad på tre representativa översiktsverk för perioden. Dessutom anläggs Judith Butlers performativitetsteori i ett försök att åskådliggöra hur Aronson i romanen skenbart anpassar sig till en traditionellt kvinnlig författarroll.Resultatet visar att Två herrar blev nöjda tar avstånd från realismen och istället präglas av modernismens estetik och radikalt nya världsåskådning. I såväl form som innehåll märks ett tydligt intresse för det omedvetna, för det irrationella, för slumpen och för det splittrade jaget.

The aim of this study was to examine the existing discourse of assault in Aftonbladet from the years 2012 and 2013. We have studied news articles and analysed them by using discourse analysis as theory and method.The study shows that the portrayal of perpetrators and victims in assault cases tend to differ depending on gender. The women is portrayed as weak and part of a homogeneous group while the man is portrayed as dominant and offered a more individual role. The study also shows that the normative group is separated from the deviate groups in society. The analyze show that media, through this representation, maintains the normative power in society.

Uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att kartlägga hur könsfördelningen gällande manus som gick upp på bio såg ut under treårsperioden 2010 -2012. Den riktar därmed in sig på två skilda punkter, dels ur ett statistsikt perspektiv där uppsatsen kartlägger hur fördelningen mellan kvinnor och män ser ut angående manus som blivit film. Under denna statistikdel kommer det även visas vilka genrer som har störst representation av kvinnor respektive män samt skillnader mellan dessa olika år gällande exempelvis adaptioner. Därefter kommer huvudfokus ligga på analysen av fyra olika manus skrivna av kvinnor för att på så sätt lysa upp eventuella styrkor eller svagheter som kan påverka hur könsfördelning ser ut. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur undervisning i moralfilosofi kan se ut på gymnasiet. Kursplaner och läromedel i filosofi har undersökts. Fyra lärare har i intervjuer gett sin bild av den undervisning i moralfilosofi som de bedriver. Det finns ingen vetenskaplig undersökning om betydelsen av borttagning av kroppshår bland kvinnor i Sverige.Den här studien undersöker kvinnors upplevelser av sitt kroppshår genom sina personliga hårborttagningshistorier. Studien bygger främst på en fenomenologisk ansats, men har även inslag av grundad teori. Den baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med ett urval av sex vuxna kvinnor i åldrarna 27-41 år. Resultaten presenteras i följande teman: Normer; Identitet; Kroppsvård; Attraktion och Kvinnlighet; samt Tidsutrymme och uttrycker den diversifierade essensen ur kvinnornas upplevelser av fenomenet.

The aim of this study is to investigate how new knowledge, discovered and translated by the archaeologist, is transferred to the public by examining the question posed to the archaeologist by ?la?nsstyrelsen,? the county administration office.Since there can be no mediation of knowledge without an understanding of its perception, I pay a visit to the cognitive sciences in order to answer what knowledge is and how it functions in regards to contract archaeological results.I argue that the current structure of mediation, in regards to archaeological knowledge, is in need of the same quality control that is demanded by the contractors in regards to standard archaeological procedures. When presenting archaeology to the public, consideration needs to be paid to the different targets groups of society. The importance of national directions rather than regional translations for mediation of archaeology is stressed by the author. This needs to be carried out through a change of the questions posed to the contracted archaeologists by the county administration in their ?fo?rfra?gningsunderlag,? the order specification for archaeological investigations. .

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att öka förståelsen för hur ?bästisrelationen? mellan två unga vuxna kvinnliga bästa vänner kan gestalta sig. Huvudfrågeställningen var; vilka centrala teman karaktäriserar relationen? En explorativ ansats tillämpades och kvinnornas egna upplevelser av relationen stod i fokus.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the representation of race, social class and gender in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. Postcolonial theory, including terms such as cultural hegemony, whiteness and Michel Foucaults definition of power, has served as the basis for the analysis. The postcolonial theory has been combined with class theory and gender theory for an intersectional analysis. Semiotic analysis has been used as the method in the thesis, and a total of nine story missions ? three for each protagonist in the game ? have constituted the material.

The aim of this essay is to study how cultures are presented in English textbooks for A-level students in Sweden. The aim is divided into three research questions, what does culture in English teaching mean, how is the English-speaking world presented in the textbooks and is the image that is presented stereotyped or does it try to challenge it? The study comprises of four textbooks from 1998-2008. The theoretical frame used in the essay is Edward Said?s Orientalism.
