The goal of our research is to give the general picture of the attitudes of immigrants to their own integration process into the Swedish society, focusing on the feeling of belonging, satisfaction with the social network, as well as confidence in the future. Moreover, in our study, we investigate a possible relation between the attitudes of the immigrants to the above-mentioned variables and their age and education. The research is based on a quantitative questionnaire investigation, which comprises all Sfi students at level D in the northeastern part of Skåne county. The research shows that the majority are open to the Swedish culture and traditions, keeping, at the same time, their own native traditions. Four out of five think that the Swedish language is important for integration.

Hur skapar jag en kundtidning som stärker relationen mellan kund och företag? Det är problemställningen som legat till grund för det här examensarbetet.Syftet med kundtidningen är att informera om energi och miljö, men även att skapa en god relation till kunden och kommunicera en känsla av samhörighet. Utifrån litteraturstudier har jag kommit fram till att detta kan uppnås genom att göra kunderna delaktiga i tidningens redaktionella innehåll och skapandet av det. Kunddelaktighet, kundnöjdhet och kundlojalitet är positivt relaterade till varandra. Företaget kan styra innehållet i den riktning det vill genom att behålla kontrollen över urvalet och på så sätt även uppnå sitt tilltänkta informativa syfte.Delaktigheten kan ske i olika former och blir tydligast när kunder finns representerade i text och bild.

In order to be able to change, to maintain competitiveness as a company in a world where rapid changes is part of the daily life, it is crucial to have knowledge and methods in how to change. One method, originally developed in Finland, is the Change Laboratory. This method is said to be efficient, not only concerning change aspects but also learning, since change and learning in this method is intertwined. This Master Thesis (20p.) tells about the process of conducting a Change Laboratory with a Swedish high-tech company and analyses factors in the process that makes change possible..

This report is the result of a project in the course Independent Projekt in Molecular Biotechnology at Uppsala University during the spring of 2014. The foremost purpose of the course is to give students the opportunity to carry through exstensive work in a project environment. This project was formed based on a comission from the biotechnology company SweTree Technologies, and the goal has been to compose a summary of the different techniques and methods that exist in the field of mass propagation of trees through the method of somatic embryogenesis.The project group has obtained information about the area mainly throgh reading patents, trying to find key components and bottlenecks in other companies? somatic embryogenesis technologies. This paper is divided into different sections, containing the patents of the automation of different steps in the process.

Since 1983 the people of Sri Lanka has endured an ongoing Civil war, however the intencity has varied over the years. The aim of this theses is to examine what influence the asymmetric relationship between the Sri Lankan goverment and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has on the process of negotiating a solution to the civil war. I am also examining whether the asymmetical relationship has changed over time and if these changes have had any effect on the process.To analyze the asymmetries I divide them into material and non-material. I measure the material asymmetries in economic and military resourses, and to measure the non-material I use indicators such as commitment, alternative, controll and legitimacy.The results show that the asymmetrical relations between the parties in Sri Lanka have changed since the 1990s. Factors like 9/11 and the recurrent suicide bombings by the LTTE has had a great influence on the singalese-tamil relationsship.

Through qualitative interviews information was gathered which identifies Mystery Shopping as an approach where companies actively seek information withthe help of anonymous ?shoppers?. This method is compared to other research methods in order to identify the characteristics of Mystery Shopping.

Syftet ?r att utforska matematikgruppens gemensamma kunskapsproduktion och holistiska f?rst?else f?r kunskapsomr?det ?sexualitet, samtycke och relationer? som en integrerad del av matematikundervisningen. Den syftar vidare till att bidra med att belysa villkoren f?r matematikgruppens kunskapsproduktion och bepr?vande av erfarenheter genom kommunikativa och demokratiska arenor. Som studiens teoretiska ramverk anv?nds Teorin om praktikarkitekturerna (TPA), f?r att analysera matematikgruppens villkor genom s?gande, g?rande och relaterande, samt identifiera de arrangemang som m?jligg?r och begr?nsar matematikl?rarnas gemensamma kunskapsproduktion. Pragmatismen och Deweys kunskapsteori anv?nds i studien f?r att analysera och diskutera resultatet utifr?n att se l?randet som en aktiv, erfarenhetsbaserad och social process. Aktionsforskning som studiens metodologiska ansats bidrar till att f?r?ndringar iscens?tts och studeras systematiskt i syfte att matematikgruppen tillsammans n?r en djupare f?rst?else och kunskap om ?sexualitet, samtycke och relationer?.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att beskriva teorin om gerotranscendens och betydelsen inom omvårdnad. För att besvara syftet formulerades följande tre frågeställningar: hur beskrivs gerotranscendens i litteraturen: vilken inverkan har kunskap om gerotranscendensteorin på vårdpersonal och hur kan teorin om gerotranscendens tillämpas i omvårdnadsarbetet för att stödja den gamla människan. Resultatet baserades på nio studier med kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod där följande huvudkomponenter inom gerotranscendens identifierades: kosmisk transcendens: ökat behov av enskildhet, ökad känsla av samhörighet med tidigare generationer: svävande tidsuppfattning med behov av att reflektera över sitt liv: ökat värde av små glädjeämnen: förändrade sociala behov och ökad acceptans för sig själv och andra. Resultatet belyste vikten av att vårdpersonal betraktar tecken på gerotranscendens som ett normalt åldrande och som en process där äldre fortfarande utvecklades. Detta gjorde det möjligt för vårdpersonal att betrakta sitt eget och vårdtagarnas åldrande på ett mer positivt sätt.

This is a report for our thesis that was conducted as a conclusion of our bachelor degree in Business engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The work is done in cooperation with the firm Navigate Consulting Business Solutions AB.They have their leading expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite and has previously chosen to implement Oracle EBS R12. The modules that are planned to be implemented are general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), project module (PA), purchases, and CRM. For a consulting company like Navigate, it is particularly important to have a simple and effective time reporting process. We were therefore asked to provide new tabs with a decision-making process to determine if Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) is a useful time tracking system for their business.In order to achieve the company´s aim and objective we decided to follow a development method with five different phases.

The aim of this study has been to take part of six ex-alcohol addicts? narratives about their lives with starting-point in which factors that has been significant and/or determining to be able to leave a life in abuse and what change this process has implied for their identity. To achieve the purpose with this study has three questions been formulated. These are what in the person?s life have been important in the process of a life free from alcohol, what were specific and decisive that effected the decision to stop using alcohol and what is the attitude to them self and their new role as an ex-alcohol addict. Alcohol is a drug that is legal and accepted in the society and it´s hard to discover an addiction.

This project is the result of a cooperation between HalmstadUniversity and EABAB. The aim of the project was to create a macro that would help EABAB automate the process of designing steel trusses. When run in Microsoft Excel, the macro imports and processes coordinates from a calculator program. The data is then imported into the Building Information Modelling software Tekla Structures, which creates a 3D structural model of the steel truss.The macro saves much time in the project planning process and also helps minimize the risk of design flaws caused by human error. .

Millions of preselected progeny have been born since the development of The Beltsville Sperm Sexing Technology 1986. The method is based on flow cytometry and sorting is done on the basis of DNA difference of the X- and Y-chromosomes. Preselection of progeny provides an opportunity to obtain genetic gain and increased production as well as increased animal welfare and decreased environmental impact. However, the method is associated with low fertility, high costs and uncertainty whether the sorting process contributes to DNA damage and thereby results in genetically impaired progeny. Today, sex sorted sperm is only commercially available in the bovine industry, due to the fact that bull sperm is more suitable for selection than sperm from other species.

Studiens syfte var att belysa kunskapsläget om ADHD hos behandlare inom SiS samt hur de arbetar med elever/klienter som har ADHD eller ADHD-liknande symtom. Ett ytterligare syfte med studien var att undersöka prevalensen av ADHD inom SiS. För att mäta kunskapsläget har upplevd och uppskattad kunskap undersökts. En kvantitativ metod med strukturerade telefonintervjuer användes. De mest framträdande resultaten var att behandlarna har god kunskap om ADHD men att de ej upplever att kunskapen är tillräcklig.

Lundbergs Plåt AB is a small company situated in Jönköping. Their main task is to process different kinds of steel such as stainless steel. Lately, they have shown an interest in Lean production.On the basis of the situation mentioned above, we developed the purpose to find and decrease the non value-added wastes in the production at Lundbergs Plåt AB. Out of this, we also developed and answered two questions: Which wastes can be found with help from a value stream mapping (VSM)? In what way can these wastes be reduced and how can these reductions contribute to an improved production? VSM is the method used to find the non value-added wastes.

Bakgrund: Somatisering är en beteckning på en omedveten process, då patienten överför känslomässiga spänningstillstånd till kroppsliga symtom. Karakteristiska drag är att de tror sig lida av flera symtom från olika delar av kroppen, men vilka är helt normala undersökningsfynd. Ett problem i kontakten mellan vårdpersonal och patient är att behov och önskningar inte tillmötesgås. Orsaken är delvis vårdpersonalens fördomar och den kunskapsbrist som finns kring somatiserande tillstånd. Syfte: Att belysa vårdpersonalens kunskap och attityder kring patienter med somatiseringssyndrom.
