According to recent statistics the construction industry is responsible for the largest waste discharges of both dangerous and non-dangerous waste, when disregarding the "non-dangerous" amount of granite waste produced by the mining industry and the waste produced by the pulp and paper industry. Preventive work within waste management is an ongoing practice so to be able to reduce negative environmental effects. One of the most common actions for the companies to take is to separate the different kinds of waste from one another at the construction site. Although by working with the problem in earlier stages of the process a large amount of the waste could already have been reduced.Companies in the construction business that are actively working to decrease environmental impact in their operations often use an EMS (Environmental Management System). By using environmental management as method the company can manage their environmental work so that actions can be taken where they are needed the most.

The aim of this thesis is to expand the understanding of 16th century Flemish art by approaching paintings by artists Pieter Aertsen (1508-1575), Joachim Beuckelaer (1533-1574) and Pieter Bruegel (c. 1525-1569) from a different perspective. This is done by extending the discourse of art history, into a discourse of literary history and primarily 16th century novels by authors such as François Rabelais and Miguel de Cervantes. The paintings are studied in relation to these 16th century novels, by comparison and as a testament of this specific time period. A widening contextualization is also constructed in which a connection to the expression of the carnivals ambivalent form, as well as the notion of lower classes is explored.

This study highlights the importance of computer technology and its impact on elder care staff's skills development in the public sector. The government presents the digital agenda within which information and communication technology today is considered to have a potential for sustainability, growth and development. According to the EU Commission, there are several important elements that should be improved to digitize the workplace. Among these are digital literacy, collaboration between agencies and increased investments in research, education and innovation. New technology can be understood in different ways by individuals, some see the computer as something positive and exciting, while others may find it hard to see the opportunities for learning and development.

The aim of this master thesis is to study how the development of a public library by means of ideas and methods from the private sector can be related to traditional core values. We base our study on institutional theory, which focuses on norms and values in an organisation, and new institutional theory, which focuses on how organisations are influenced by changes in the environment. We also use New Public Management with a market focus to analyze the implications of a development towards a more market oriented view.The method used is that of a case study of a new library concept, Idea Stores in London. Idea Stores are a number of new public libraries in Tower Hamlets developed from the results of a major opinion survey about libraries. The Idea Stores combine traditional library services with elements of adult education and lifelong learning in a partnership with local learning centres.

Employable humanists. A qualitative study on humanist students' views on employability.The crisis of the humanities is a controversial debate in the media and within academic settings. Because of lack of request for humanists in the labor market, the question of humanistic skills and employability is becoming increasingly important. The concept of employability importance not only echoes within the economic discussions, but also on everyday agenda in the academic world and takes a large part in the communication between the university and the students. It is therefore important to get answers to the question whether there is conformity in the interpretation of this concept between the university and the students.The aim of this desk study is to examine how the concept of employability has its significance in the academic communication and how the responsibility for employability is portrayed.

Title: Access to cultural education in a multi-ethnical context.The right to dance and play an instrument, to paint and work with film is taken for granted by many children in Malmoe today. The agenda explicitely phrases the intent of the publicly financed schools of art for children to reflect the multi-ethnic demographics of the city. Public community music schools of today, incorporate classes in all forms of art and are called "Culture schools". There is a long tradition of teaching and making music to lean on as a music teacher in Sweden. This paper tries to explore how these rights are expressed in the governing documents of the Culture school of Malmoe.

I kölvattnet av den ökande medvetenheten för klimatet och en hållbar utveckling i sam-hället har bästa praxis mer och mer blivit att tillhandahålla en hållbarhetsredovisning. I detta har Agenda 21 och Bruntlandkommisionen spelat en stor roll, vilka understryker behovet att säkerställa möjligheterna för kommande generationer. Detta har bland annat bidragit till bildandet av GRI, som är ett globalt nätverk för hållbar utveckling och riktlin-jer för upprättandet av hållbarhetsredovisning. FAR SRS ser också att företagen börjat visa mer och mer samhällsintresse och ansvar genom detta arbete. Frågan är bara hur en god hållbarhetsredovisning kan bli en väsentlig rapportering som tjänar ett syfte mot in-tressenterna och skapar värde för det enskilda företaget.Frågeställningen i detta arbete är uppdelat i två delar och ämnar besvara; vad som bidrar till väsentlighet i ett börsnoterat företags hållbarhetsredovisning samt på vilket sätt en god hållbarhetsredovisning kan ge mervärde åt ett företag.

Sexual harassment is something that has existed for several decades, and are something that still occurs today in many places around our society. In the fall of 2017, a movement called the Metoo-movement, started and spread across the whole world, which made an impact on many countries ? particularly Sweden. Serval women from different occupational groups started to share their stories to the media, about sexual harassment that they gone thru, in order to show that the perpetuators are just ordinary men in their industry, which is something that media previous misconception provided about. The first stories that reached the Swedish residents were from the Swedish film- and theater industry, and were also one of the most known and visible first call-out groups. They shared 703 different stories about sexual harassment to one of Sweden's leading newspapers, Svenska Dagbladet, in november of 2017.

En vanlig inställning är att ingen ska behöva tigga i dagens välfärdsamhälle. I och med ökadrörlighet och globalisering har dock tiggeri som fenomen blivit allt synligare på våra gator iGöteborg. Medierna uppmärksammar frekvent tiggeri vilket även gör det till en aktuell del avallas vår verklighet. I Göteborgs stad är även tiggarna en grupp människor som dykt upp påsocialpolitikens agenda. Syftet med denna studie är därför att undersöka lokala politikers bildav tiggeri i Göteborgs stad samt dess kopplingar till samhällsdiskursen.

Efter direktiv från en ny digital agenda av EU, anpassade regeringen sin handlingsplan för att ligga i linje med resten av EU. Regeringen satte även upp målet att bli bäst i världen på att använda sig av digitaliseringens möjligheter. För att kunna uppnå denna målsättning krävs insatser på nationell, regional och kommunal nivå. För att regeringen ska kunna uppnå sitt mål är man beroende av att kommunerna uppfyller sin del. Detta har satt press på kommuner, som utvecklar och implementerar nya e-tjänster i ökande takt.

The objective of a site leasehold is to allow the lessee to occupy a specific plot of land. In return, the lessor imposes an annual ground rent. The ground rent ownership gives the lessor the possibility to capture the increasing in land value. As such, the rent is based on the value of the land multiplied with a percentage that reflects the yield of the land value. It is renegotiated every ten years.

This thesis investigates the possibilities offered to a working landscape architect by anincreased and altered use of digital 3D environments. A basic assumption is that increased useof digital three-dimensional environments promotes the creative processes and presentationoptions of landscape architects.The thesis is based on literature studies and communication with working landscapearchitects, and includes an investigation of the visualization methods available in the Blender3D modelling software. The thesis provides a thorough survey of what it means to model inthree dimensions, as well as of what modelling methods are feasible for a landscape architectto use. As landscape architects, we work with human and unique processes, and thus it isdifficult to develop standardized and automatic software for our profession. One possiblesolution is to turn to open source development, where software and models are shared andanyone can contribute.

Naturen i Laholm är storslagen och variationsrik men är en resurs som man ofta tar för givet, det har alltid funnits natur i överflöd och den har alltid varit gratis. Jord- och skogsbrukarna har alltid gett oss möjlighet att vistas i fin öppen natur med höga naturvärden som inbjudit till ett attraktivt friluftsliv. Mycket har hänt, jordbruket har rationaliserats, blandskogar har till stor del övergått i produktiv granskog och exploateringstrycket på marken har ökat. Detta har medfört att fina naturvärden är på väg att försvinna och att det skapats barriärer i landskapet.Det har aldrig funnits något samlat dokument över vilka natur- och friluftsvärden som finns inom Laholms kommun och därför ska en naturvårdsplan tas fram. Planen arbetas fram av Agenda 21 enheten i Laholms kommun och syftar till att kartlägga och visa den natur som finns inom kommunen.
