Meeting a new market Author: Anna Nubäck Supervisor: Anders Nilsson Institution: School of Management, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola Course: Master in business administration, 15 credits (FED006) Purpose: The purpose of this essay is partly to create an understanding of the decision to establish a branch in Japan and especially to look at if and how the Swedish company in this study has adjusted its corporate culture to suit the Japanese market. Method: Data is collected thru a number of semi constructed interviews. A first telephone interview was followed by an interview made face to face that was also followed up by interviews performed over telephone. E-mails have been used to clear and correct collected data.

The report aims to examine how property owners position themselves to reach their targetmarket, and which strategies they use when positioning their product. The investigation has beencarried out mainly in the form of a case study in which a number of interviews with Stockholmreal estate companies has been conducted, focusing on commercial property market segment.The interviews have resulted in identification of common and specific strategies among thecompanies. These strategies have been analyzed in the light of the theory by Philip Kotler andKevin Lane Keller, focusing on how an offer should be designed to reach a competitive position.It can be concluded that positioning is a key activity for successfully addressing the targetmarket. Successful positioning mandates three key requirements to be met; determining thecategory to which the offer belongs, identifying similarities and differences compared to thecompetitors and developing a brand mantra. The result of the case study concludes that theproperty companies work similar in many ways.

Piles of deadwood are often retained in forests after management to support the biodiversity ofsaproxylic organisms which depend on deadwood to survive. Any knowledge about the crucial role ofpiles as suitable habitat of saproxylic organisms compared to single distributed deadwood objects thatare around the piles would help conservation actors to motivate more forest owners to supportsaproxylic organisms during their management. Therefore to give facts to this the saproxylic fauna ofdifferent pile positions (up and low) was studied and compared to distributed deadwood samplesaround each pile. Our study was focused on saproxylic beetles. Some other parameters such asdiameter, deadwood volume, pile volume and decay stage were assessed to define any effect.

Jetströmmar betyder mycket för meteorologer och fungerar som ett hjälpmedel för prognostisering av lågtryck. Kvadrantmodellen för jetströmsstråk beskriver hur det kan bildas lågtryck och konvergens vid marknivå på olika sidor om jetströmmen. Jetströmmar är också av betydelse för flygtrafiken, eftersom man kan spara tid och bränsle genom att flyga in i ? eller genom att inte flyga in i ? en jetström. Det är känt att jetströmmar ibland kan ge upphov till klarluftsturbulens (CAT), och studier har visat att turbulensen ofta är associerade med stabilt stratifierade zoner i närheten av jetströmmen.Denna studie börjar med en teoridel där jetströmmars uppkomst och kvadrantmodellen redogörs.

Sammanfattning (MB och AA)Distriktssköterskor och sjuksköterskor arbetar med varierande arbetsuppgifter och inom olika verksamheter bland annat med hemsjukvård. Patientens hem blir en arbetsplats, som på olika sätt kan påverka arbetsmiljön. Syftet med studien var att beskriva erfarenheter om och upplevelser av arbetsmiljön i kommunaliserad hemsjukvård hos distriktssköterskor/sjuksköterskor med kort respektive lång yrkeserfarenhet. En empirisk studie med deskriptiv design och kvalitativ ansats gjordes. Fem deltagare med kort yrkeserfarenhet intervjuades samt sex deltagare med lång yrkeserfarenhet.

Idag är anställda inom kundtjänst på svenska storbanker ofta 20 till 30-åriga, nyexaminerade akademiker som ser kundtjänstyrket som en inkörsport till en fortsatt karriär inom banksektorn. Dessa medarbetare är med andra ord ofta inställda på att så snabbt som möjligt gå vidare i sin karriär.I deras dagliga arbete förväntas de, av både arbetsgivare och kunder, vara välinformerade om bankens produkter och tjänster men även ge en högkvalitativ och ofta personlig service. Många banker har högt uppställda, kort- och långsiktiga, säljmål som de anställda förväntas uppfylla vilket är ett ytterligare prestationsmoment i det dagliga arbetet för en kundtjänstanställd. Detta ställer krav på de anställda att vara stresståliga, flexibla, välinformerade och i många fall utbildade för att arbetet skall kunna utföras väl.Författarna vill med denna uppsats undersöka hur chefer på svenska storbanker går tillväga för att upprätthålla en hög grad av motivation hos sina anställda i detta konkurrensutsatta och säljinriktade arbetsklimat där en stor andel av personalen är angelägna om att inom en snar framtid gå vidare i sina karriärer och avancera från sin nuvarande roll. Vad de anställda inom kundtjänst anser motiverar dem i deras arbete är en annan fråga författarna ämnar undersöka.De banker som författarna har undersökt är Handelsbanken, Nordea och Swedbank.

The area may take any form and should be scalable up to and including national borders. The enclosure is managed on the mobile unit. The target system is Android. Smartphones, tablets and more recently, cameras is examples of mobile units.

Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) uppkom efter en rad redovisningsskandaler i USA. Lagen tillkom för att återställa investerarnas förtroende och att kunna garantera att de finansiella rapporter som lämnas ut till aktiemarknaden innehåller en rättvisande bild av bolagets ställning och resultat. Lagen påverkar alla svenska företag som är noterade på den amerikanska börsen eller handlar med värdepapper på den amerikanska marknaden. Det påstås att företag har drabbats av mycket höga kostnader för att tillämpa lagen. Vi har i denna uppsats valt att se på dessa kostnader och även om SOX kan bidraga med någon nytta.

AimThe aim of this study was to evaluate the activity recorded with electromyography (EMG) fine-wire electrodes, in transversus abdominis (TrA) and rectus abdominis (RA) while performing various stabilization exercises, and to investigate how the level of activation was affected by specific instructionsMethodTen physically active women (27.1 ± 5.5year, 1.74 ± 0.05 m, 67.1 ± 8.6 kg) performed six different stabilization exercises (four lying supine with bent knees and hips and two in four point kneeling). They performed two sets of exercises, the first without and the second with specific instructions. The specific instruction was ?abdominal hollowing to activate? TrA. The fine-wire electrodes were inserted bilateral into TrA and RA with an injection needle with guidance from an ultrasound.

Queen Kristina of Sweden (1626-1689) is a person who has been widely studied during the years. She is known as the monarch who left the Swedish throne and the protestant faith in favour of the catholic Rome. Even though Kristina left her powerful position as queen of Sweden she never gave up her dignity as a sovereign.  My purpose with this study is to analyse historians and other scholars different research concerning Kristina?s notorious execution of Monaldesco in 1657.

In this essay, I have examined and discussed the similarities and differences between christology in the thought of Cyril of Alexandria and Martin Luther, and further, to what extent Luther may have been influenced by Cyril in his doctrines of christology and Christ?s presence in the Eucharist. By reading texts written by Cyril as well as by Luther, I have tried to describe the position of each of the theologian?s. In the next step, I compared the thoughts of Cyril and Luther, and tried to show on both similarities and differences.

The study examines the price elasticity of demand for cigarettes in the short- and long run in Sweden. The time period for the study is 17 years and covers the years 1996-2012. The results of the study shows that the price elasticity of demand for cigarettes in the long run is higher than in the short run for the Swedish consumers, which is in line with previous studies in the area. The fact that the price elasticity of demand for cigarettes is higher in the long run, indicates that the substitution effect has a significant impact on the price elasticity of demand for cigarettes in the long run. The study was conducted in two parts where the authors investigated the effect of cigarette tax on cigarette prices and in addition the cigarette prices impact on the demand for cigarettes in Sweden.

The ability to tackle NP-hard problems has been greatly extended by the introduction of Metaheuristics (see Blum & Roli (2003)) for a summary of most Metaheuristics, general problem-independent optimisation algorithms extending the hill-climbing local search approach to escape local minima. One of these algorithms is Iterated Local Search (ILS) (Lourenco et al., 2002; Stützle, 1999a, p. 25ff), a recent easy to implement but powerful algorithm with results comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods for many combinatorial optimisation problems, among them the Traveling Salesman (TSP) and Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.

The demand for shopping centers has increased in recent time and more shopping centers have been built. To become competitive shopping centers has evolved to become more than just a place for shopping. In the recent past Galleria Duvan in Karlstad has been run by foreign owners who has not been involved or renovated the shopping center. During the spring of 2011 AlbérFastigheter bought Galleria Duvan and they are now renovating and negotiating new deals with the tenants. Our problem has led us to the following question: How can a centrally located shopping center, such as Galleria Duvan, develop a strategy to strengthen their position on the market.
