The task given to us was to develop an industrial wheel with new thinking in terms of fresh design and construction, with the ability to brake. While the produced wheels of today only own the property of total braking, a wish was made to integrate the ability of directional locking.The time spent working with the project has been filled with multiple sketches of ideas and function analysis.Choices of material and ways of construction have been verified by calculations, tests and prototype building. This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with the IT Company MPQ consulting AB in Halmstad. The task we were assigned by MPQ concerned the development of a scooter that can be used year round. We have with the companydeveloped the criteria and requirements for the product in which the goal is toproduce a primary solution that meets the set criteria and fall within the project'sboundaries.The project involves a wide range of different design methods for idea generationand idea development. The project also addresses engineering methods such asprinciple and primary engineering. This thesis is the result of the class Examensarbete, 15 credits of the mechanical engineering program at Halmstad University. The class represents the final part of the program with the aim to attain a Bachelor of Science. It´s a project made during the spring 2014 in collaboration with Alutrade AB and ScanBox Thermo Products AB.The assignment is to develop a new transportation trolley for ScanBox. The aim is to complement their range with a product that opens up to new markets. That set new demands for materials and also manufacturing- and assembly methods.

This thesis describes a conceptual design of a support frame for a synchronousgenerator used in a vertical axis wind power plant. In this system the generator isplaced on ground level. The last few decades the development in the field of electronics has been huge. The components performance gets better at the same time as the manufacturing cost decreases. Many of the design moments that have to be done, are done automatically today, but it can get better. Especially for analog circuit design.At Electronic System in Linköpings universitet, research is in progress to develop a tool that can design analog circuits in reasonable time. It means that it has to size the components (transistors, resistances, capacitances etc), so that the circuit can fulfill the performance requirements.

In motorsports competition, safety reasons require that the vehicle is equipped with some form of protective roll cage. The roll cage should withstand the forces involved in a collision to protect the driver and the co-driver from the vehicle body deformation. The roll cage also works to protect the vehicle from excessive deformations to more easily make any repairs afterwards. For the roll cage to be certified and approved for motorsports competition, it requires that the cage is built after one of the recommended options. One of those options is to design the roll cage like a cross-construction at the driver and co-driver doors.

This thesis describes the design of a tipping trailer, from a company?s demands andrequests to complete manufacturing documentation. The design is developed for thecompany Abexor AB in Östersund that produces tipping trailers. The product issupposed to be used by Abexors customer to transport cargos of different kinds,such as gravel, stone, dirt, etc.The work commenced with a meeting at the company where demands were set.After that a pre-study was conducted to find out what traffic rules were required forthe trailer to be allowed to be driven on roads. Similar products were examined tosee how the trailer could be designed.

Denna rapport kommer att behandla Konstruktion och design av ett småskaligt portabelt solvärmesystem. Rapportens första del är en teoretisk referensram som ligger till grund för byggandet av en prototyp av den behandlade solvärmetypen som har testats för att se vilken prestanda som uppnåtts och hur systemet förhåller sig till en given målfunktion. Prototypen togs fram med hjälp av produktutvecklingsmetodik, vilken även finns utförligt förklarad i rapporten. Verkningsgraden för den byggda prototypen beräknades efter tester till 65 % och är dimensionerad för 70 liter vatten. Solvärmesystemet som uppvärmningsalternativ och dess konkurrenskraft bland andra uppvärmningsalternativ har också studerats och slutsatsen dragits att solvärme har många miljömässigt positiva aspekter men lång pay off-tid per utvunnen kWh vilket gör att det kan anses som ett mindre attraktivt alternativ i Sverige jämfört med länder med högre solinstrålning..

I detta examensarbete utvecklas ett solcellsstativ i trämaterial. Ett idékoncept fanns somgrund för hur stativet skulle kunna utformas. Detta har vidareutvecklats, till färdigt systemanpassat för tillverkning.Resultatet blev ett fackverksstativ i trä bestående av vinklade halva oktaeder i rad.Trädetaljerna binds samman med knutpunkter i formsprutad plast, som med klämkraft hållerfast trädetaljerna. Knutpunkterna är konstruerade för att minimera åverkan på träet samtmotverka röta.Systemet är verifierat både genom beräkning, simulering och jämförelse med liknandekonstruktioner.
