This essay is based on seven lifestoryinterviews with people who are undergoing orhave undergone a long asylum process. Four women and three men have contributedwith their stories about their experiences of waiting for a determination of theirapplication for residence permit. The main aim of the essay is to give betterunderstanding of how to be a refugee and a long asylum process affects people's abilityto narrate and thus examine their opportunities to be active in the construction of theirown identity.The questions that are debated and discussed are:? What can it mean for an individual's identity to escape her country and for a longtime wait for decision of asylum?? What stories can be told?? What reality are highlighted as central in the stories?? How do they handle their situation and give meaning to their lives?The analysis is based on two main theoretical perspectives: narrative theory and identitytheory. The approach is that people create meaning of events through storytelling andthat they through this process of narrating construct (and reconstruct) their identities -the self image as one have and wants to present to others.In the analysis three different types of stories are distinguished, stories that arerepresented in the empirical material: the story that can not be told, the story that mustbe told and the story that are gladly told.

This study was conducted at the City Abattoir in Kampala, Uganda to evaluate the cleaning process, with focus on bacterial pathogens, in a pilot scale integrated bioprocess. This consisted of four steps: anaerobic sequencing batch reactors; aerobic/anoxic sequencing batch reactors; a high performance temperature controlled methanogenesis digester and a constructed wetland. The objective was to determine if this type of cleaning process could be used to clean wastewater from abattoirs in a satisfactory way. The indicator organisms for faecal contamination, Escherichia coli and Enterococcus spp. were used to investigate in what numbers bacteria could be found in the untreated wastewater and how much that was reduced in the different steps of the cleaning process. The water was analysed for Salmonella to see if human pathogens could be found and could survive the different steps of the treatment process.

The Landscape Architecture Program at SLU, Ultuna provide several design courses. Within these courses, students are mainly introduced to one type of design process, a process based on the specific site and its conditions, known as Genius Loci. This report presents a course and a design methodology from Cornell University which aims to provide students with tools for a more conceptual way of thinking about design and architecture. The design method is presented in two stages. First an introduction to the course description and objectives.

Purpose: The purpose of this study has been to identify different actors and processes in music recording. We find this interesting since there have been a lot of changes in the music industry over the last years. Our ambition has been to point out different actors and their roles during the advent of recorded music, and identify different features and processes in the creation of music today and in the future. To fulfill our purpose we have had the following research question: What characterize, in a future perspective, the gathered process during the creation of recorded music from idea to delivery and experience?Method: We have used a qualitative approach for this study and we have conducted seven interviews with persons from different areas of the Music Industry and radio.

Uppsatsens primärdata består av intervjuer gjorda med redovisningskonsulter, revisorer samt SRF och FAR SRS. Slutsats: Förändringarna kommer förmodligen till en början att gå långsamt fram för redovisningskonsulterna. Det som kan komma att ses är att redovisningskonsulten kan även få en mer affärsrådgivande roll. Konkurrensen kan komma att öka mellan revisorer och redovisningskonsulter då möjliga "jävsituationer" kan upphöra vilket leder till att revisorerna kan komma att öka utbudet av kombiuppdrag.

Energytower är en ny typ av vindkraftverk som har en för marknaden ny unik konstruktion. Syftet med denna rapport är identifiera skillnader mellan Energytowerverk och konventionell vindkraft vad gäller miljörättsliga och ekonomiska aspekter.Vindkraft klassificeras enligt svensk miljörätt som miljöfarlig verksamhet. Det innebär att etableringar även kräver framtagandet av en miljökonsekvensbeskrivning (MKB) med tillhörande MKB-process. MKB ska vara ett underlag för beslut i tillståndshanteringen.En av grundförutsättningarna för etablering av vindkraft oavsett typ är att projektet är ekonomiskt bärkraftigt. Vindkraft är i detta avseende precis som vilken annan investering som helst.

This degree project is a realization of a strategy for collaboration between an industrial designer and employed workmen of a producing company. The collaboration aims to engage everyone involved in the co-authorship of a products design and manufacturing history. The realization has taken place in an open dialogue where the designer no longer owns the design process by himself. The project has been carried out in cooperation with the company Iris Hantverk. The company is owned by the Swedish body for visually impaired and has their main production facility in Stockholm.

Objective: For a long-term and viable economic development to take place in a country it needs to promote creativity and innovation in enterprises. The study applies the process model to study the process of innovation in innovative companies in Sweden. The study also applies the technology commercialization model to indicate the ability of companies to commercialize the technology to the market.Main purpose: The purpose of this work is to study how companies in Sweden proceed with an idea generation and if they manage to commercialize these ideas.Method: This study used a qualitative approach. Multiple case studies & interviews.Conclusion: The innovative ideas in innovative SME:s in Sweden is emerged from randomly events and from systematic developments. Consumer chock is the trigger who draws focus on the idea.

What is the?self? and to become ?one-self?? To resolve this questions possibility I´ve been using the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard metaphysic paradoxes. This essay about the ?self? shows the reader the difference between describing a transcendent and immanent phenomenon and if it´s possible to become or to not become ourselves. Many research reports mention the fact that a huge number of all system development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number of failed system development projects. The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system development project, where the development process is based on a specific development or process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I aim to clarify what is demanded of a project leader for the specific development process and give an account for which eventual leadership qualities that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for technical competence. Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of system development.

Syftet med detta arbete är att söka svar på vad personer i en våldsutsatt kvinnas närhet kan göra för att hjälpa henne.I en långsam process, som kallas normaliseringsprocess, börjar mannen utöva kontroll över kvinnan. En viktig faktor i denna process är mannens förmåga att växla mellan att vara kärleksfull till en våldsverkare. När en kvinna beslutar sig för att lämna en våldsutsatt relation beskrivs två vändpunkter, när det gäller livet och när det gäller någon annan.Med en enkät till våldsutsatta kvinnor var syftet att söka svar på frågan om vad närstående, allmänhet, polis och andra runt omkring henne hade kunnat göra för att hjälpa henne komma ur våldet. De kvinnor som besvarat enkäten skriver att det är föräldrar, syskon och arbetskamrater som har stöttat kvinnan.

This report describes the process of translating Russian financial information in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards to IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards. The author describes the two regulatory frameworks and reveals a number of risk factors in the process. These risk factors may affect the reliability of figures from Russian companies. The conclusion states some recommendations on how these risk factors can be managed..
