According to the immigration service forecasts Sweden faces large refugee influxes in the coming years. This means that educators in the Kindergarten, preschool and school, will meat children from the war torn countries. In this study, the purpose is to find out the educators different conceptions of war-affected refugee children, because my theory is that their beliefs influence their actions. I wanted to get answers to their beliefs about the difficulties or challengers that children and educators may be faced with. Furthermore, I wanted to know what educators envisioned about their own role?s importance to the war affected refugee children and their perceptions of the Swedish culture, environment, language and school.

Swedish childcare has undergone radical changes in the last 15 to 20 years. It has evolved from Kindergarten to pre-school, in other words, gone from simple childcare to an active learning environment with the child as the center. Official documents, such as the pre-school curriculum and other guide documents, define the role and work ethics of the pre-school teacher. In my thesis I argue that it is essential to have an ongoing and continuous discussion at pre-schools on the practical applications of these frameworks and ambitious goals.What do you do when you simply cannot give every child the individual time they should have according to rules and regulations? How do you stay an active and present pedagogue in today?s pre-school with large classes and heavy workloads? How do you establish a common professional work ethics within a pre-school so that all children are treated equally? In my scientific essay, I examine these issues based on a real-life situation: Ellen in the hallway.A pedagogue must continuously make balanced decisions based on rules and regulations, on life- and work experience which, in many cases, contradict each other.

I studien belyser författarna hur pedagogerna använder sig av pekplattan som ett verktyg när det gäller att främja barns språkliga utveckling.Denna studie är kvalitativ då författarna har gjort egna analyser och tolkningar utifrån observationer, samt att författarna belyser pedagogernas syn och tankar hur de använder pekplattan genom intervjuer.

This rapport contains an examination of the energy consumption of a Kindergarten, which areas that have the largest impact on the energy consumption and what can be done to reduce those areas in ways that are relatively easy and profitable. It is also analyzed if it is possible to reduce the energy consumption from today?s consumption to a consumption that fulfils the demands placed on low energy houses by FEBY.The focus has been on reducing the energy consumption of the areas ventilation, heating system and hot water system, since those seemed to be the easiest ones to affect and since the building is quite recently built.There are different kinds of ventilation systems, at the moment the building have a CAV-system, which means that the ventilation is too high during large parts of the day. There are different ways to manage the ventilation system, for example presence detection, humidity sensors, CO2 sensors, temperature sensors and season adjustment. Many of those are in the end dependent on CO2 sensors to guarantee a good indoor climate, therefore the focus have been placed on this system.

This essay is about my meeting as an educator at a preschool with a child who is deemed to be in need of special assistance. I have worked in preschools and schools for nearly fifteen years and have met a great many children with different needs during these years. I tell in this essay about my relationship with Lucas who is a child I feel need special support in his everyday life. Lucas has what we in the preschool world call impulse controlled behavior. I also feel that he is disturbed by external stimuli such as sound and he has difficulty with social interactions with friends.

Kränkande behandling och mobbning är ett samhällsfenomen; där det finns människor finns det även kränkande behandling och mobbning. Vad som är kränkande behandling är upp till personen som blir utsatt att avgöra och upprepade kränkningar inom samma sociala forum benämns som mobbning. Forskning har visat att det råder en viss osäkerhet och delade meningar huruvida både kränkande behandling och mobbning kan förekomma inom förskolans verksamhet. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad biträdande förskolechefer har för erfarenhet av mobbning och kränkande behandling relaterat till förskolan samt om de arbetar med att förebygga mobbning och kränkande behandling på förskolan. Ett delsyfte är att undersöka hur kränkande behandling och mobbning kan yttra sig på förskolan samt kartlägga hur den lagstadgade handlingsplanen ser ut och hur de använder sig av den i sitt förebyggande arbete mot mobbning och kränkande behandling.

Andraspråksundervisning är en vital del av många elevers skolgång. I Thailand har detta aktualiserats, i och med att en ekonomisk gemenskap med engelska som huvudspråk är på väg att skapas av länder i regionen. Engelskkunskaperna är generellt bristfälliga i landet och den thailändska regeringen har därför utarbetat ett åtgärdsprogram, the English Speaking Year 2012 Program. Programmet antas leda till förändringar i skolorna som på sikt ska göra invånarna betydligt bättre på engelska. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka engelskundervisningen vid en thailändsk grundskola som jobbar utifrån the English Speaking Year 2012 Program. Det avsågs att identifiera om åtgärdsprogrammet lett till förändringar i undervisningen och även åskådliggöra eventuella förändringar.

In my essay, I write about the work at a pre-school in a segregated suburb. I begin my essay with examples from my workday. In one case, it is about Sara, playing games where other children are excluded and she also exhibits a power game towards me. In the second example, it is about how a group of children conspire and expose both themselves and others for destructive conspiracy patterns. When I write down what happens in the group of children at my pre-school, I see patterns reminiscent of destructive gangs.

I have made a research about two different methods for introducing small children to Nursery School/Kindergarten. I choose to do this as I have found very little about this in the literature we have studied during my education to become a pre-school teacher.This period in the life of very small children and their parents is a big change in their daily life. The more traditional way to start pre-school is to do it very gradually during two weeks, the two-week method. This means that the parents visit the pre-school together with their child for a very short time, about one hour the first day. After one week they leave their child with the staff for about an hour and at the end of that week they try to leave it full time (6-8 hours).

The examination has been performed at Bjerking AB, which is an architectural and engineering company. Bjerking AB has the ambition to be a member of Green Building.The Green Building program developed in year 2005 by The European Commission, the program is an environmental system with the aim to improving energy efficiency within the sectors of non-residential buildings. The minimum requirements to participate the program are following: in new-built buildings the calculated energy consumption must be 25 % lower than the requirements in the BBR (Building regulations) and in refurbishment the reduction must be 25 % lower than before the optimization.The aim of this study has been to examine and review the company Bjerking AB's energy efficiency work in the project of building the school/Kindergarten S:ta Maria Alsike, where the goal is to get this building Green Building classed. A description of requirements to become a member of the Green Building has also accomplished in the thesis.The methods performed in this study are literature review, searches on the Internet, studies on the project database for facts/values, calculation of energy consumption and interviews of members of the Green Building. The following issues have been dealt with in the report;-          Did the building in the project manage the requirement to achieve an   energy consumption that is 25% lower than the requirements in BBR?-          What technical measures/system was selected in the building?-          What kind of cooperation was the project based on?-          What is required for consultancy companies and real estate owners to become members of the Green Building?The study of the project and calculation of estimated energy consumption in the building, give the result 47 kWh/m2, year.

Bakgrund:Friedrich Fröbel grundade tyska Kindergarten som motsvarar den svenska förskolan. För att främja barns utveckling menade han att de vuxna skulle ansvara för utformningen av miljön och tillgodose deras behov. Materialet är en förutsättning för att barnen ska utvecklas, det skall vara utmanande och väcka intresse. Materialet blir pedagogiskt i samspel med människan och hur man använder materialet har betydelse för om lärande skall kunna ske.Syfte:Syftet är att undersöka hur sex förskollärare i två olika förskolor menar att de skapar en pedagogisk miljö som främjar barns lärande.Metod:Vid vår datainsamling har vi använt oss av kvalitativ intervju med öppna frågor för att få utvecklade och relevanta svar. Vi har intervjuat pedagoger, för att ta reda på hur de uppfattar den fysiska miljön i förskolan och hur viktig den är för barns lärande.

Title: Language Through Music. Music as a Motivator for Language Acquisition.The purpose of this essay is to examine what there is to gain by integrating music and language to promote language learning. Theory: Different theories will be presented to orientate music in history. Theories on the connection between music and language will follow and among others suggestopedi will be explained. Theories that will be presented point to positive connections between music and language concerning language acquisition.

Projektet har genomförts i samarbete med Lokalförvaltningen, Göteborgs Stad.Eftersom behovet av lokaler i en stad förändras över tid efterfrågas en byggnad som kan användas till flera olika ändamål under dess bruksperiod. Ombyggnation av befintliga byggnader kan bli kostsamma och tidskrävande eftersom bärande komponenter eller fasta installationer ofta måste flyttas eller bytas ut. En flexibel byggnad som redan vid uppförandet förbereds för ombyggnation kan enkelt anpassas och användas till flera olika verksamheter. Att bygga mer effektivt och flexibelt minskar kostnader och bidrar till ett mer hållbart byggande. Syftet med arbetet var att ta fram en byggnad som genom enklare omställningsarbeten i byggnadens invändiga utseende kan fungera för tre olika verksamheter.
