Skrubberavfall : Hantering i hamn
This paper deals with challenges associated with handling scrubber waste in the port of Karlshamn and what various industry partners are doing to meet this growing demand. The main challenges have been the proportion of ships with scrubber, the amount of generated waste and waste characterisation. An understanding of these factors has been crucial in order to ascertain the aim of this study, which has been made with calculations based on leading manufacturer?s scrubber analyses and with an estimation of the quantity of ships with scrubber by examining AIS data from the Port of Karlshamn. In order to calculate the quantity of scrubber waste two different scenarios were established, which in turn produced two different outcomes.
Barn och buller : Hur barn och verksamhet på förskolan påverkas av en hög ljudnivå
There are a lot of different sounds in our sound saturated time. Noise is an unwishable soundand a high sound level can give short- or lingering problems for both children and adults.The purpose was to find out if and in that case why children and the activity at the pre-schoolaffects by a high soundlevel. Another purpose was to examine what the effects would be if thepedagogues set about the work to get a good sound environment at pre-school.The investigation was accomplished in shape of qualitative interwievs where six pedagoguesfrom different pre-schools answered questions about a high soundlevel.All of them have been educated to hearing pilotes.The result of this investigation shows that some pre-schools have a high sound levels but notall of them. In those cases where there is a high soundlevel are there often too many childrenat the same place on the same time. That makes the soundlevel even higher and both childrenand adults are getting tired.By improving the sound environment at the pre-school both children and adults often gets abetter activity.Keywords: high soundlevel, hearingpilot, noise, affects on children..

Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents is increasing. Diseases which earlier occurred exclusively among adults are now also observed among children. There is an urgent need for new treatments that can change this negative trend. The aim of this study was to describe existing treatments for obesity among children in the age of 6-12 and the effect of those treatments. This descriptive literature study is based on 17 research articles published between 2000 and 2007 from different parts in the world.

Livstillfredsställelse : Föränderlig på grund av exponering för negativ respektive positiv information?
Livstillfredsställelse är vår kognitiva bedömning av vårt liv. Studier har visat att affekter påverkar vår kognition, samtidigt ses livstillfredsställelse som en stabil disposition. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om vår bedömning av vår livstillfredsställelse tillfälligt förändras efter att ha exponerats för negativ respektive positiv information. Hypotesen var att vi uppskattar vår livstillfredsställelse olika högt beroende på om vi exponeras för negativ eller positiv infomation.Satisfaction With Life Scale delades ut till 50 studenter på en högskola efter exponering av negativ respektive positiv information under en föreläsning. Resultatet visade att det inte fanns någon statistiskt signifikant skillnad mellan negativ och positiv information med avseende på livstillfredsställelse.
Att sätta fingret på emotionell intelligens - En kvalitativ studie om användningen av EQ-test i rekryteringsprocesser
Emotional intelligence (EQ) has been claimed to be the most critical factor in determining a person's success in life, both personal and professional. EQ highly affects academic and job performance, leadership, stress, and well-being but is still not widely accounted for in recruitment processes. During the last 20 years a large number of researchers have shown interest in the concept of emotional intelligence, but few have studied its practical implications and how EQ-tests are used as a selection tool in recruitment processes. To create an understanding of the motivation for using the test, as well as its role in recruitment decisions, qualitative interviews have been conducted with recruiters at companies in Stockholm, Sweden. All interviewed companies use the self-assessment test EQ:i 2.0.
Möte med Gud : En litteraturstudie av religiös erfarenhet och religiösa visioner
This essay studies what has been written about religious experience and visions both in the past and now. It deals with both the religious experience and tries to explain how and if there is any place in the modern society for religious visions and experience. The essay has a strong theoretical perspective to psychology of religion as presented by Anton Geels whose writings in the subject have been of one of my main sources.The study shows that people of all times and cultures have had religious visions and the feeling of a divine experience even if this has changed because of tradition, time and place. Religious experience and visions can furthermore occur both in a spontaneous, unprepared way as well as being cultured through ascetic practice in order to facilitate the divine reception. The study also shows that religious experience in no means is reserved for special ?chosen ones? but can occur to each and every one, no matter what class, race or position in life.
Samarbete, autonomi och stora personalgrupper : En personalvetenskaplig fallstudie om förutsättningar för medarbetare i en grundskola
The study is based on a human science perspective in which we are interested in the school as a workplace for adults and work with personnel issues. The aim is to contribute with new knowledge about what conditions an employee considers important to carry out their work, and employees' experiences of working in large personnel groups.We have made a case study in a Swedish local primary school for students in lower ages, with between 60-70 employees. We conducted nine semi- structured interviews with a hand-picked selection of employees from different occupational groups in the school. The study is empirical data -driven qualitative with abductive approach. To analyze the collected datamaterial, we have used the empirical data -driven thematic analysis.From the results of the study some aspects appear clearly; employees need to be seen by his/her boss, importance of employee autonomy and employee experience of stress.
Transformellt ledarskap i vården
Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att belysa det transformella ledarskapet i vården. De 14 vetenskapliga artiklarna i litteraturöversikten är hämtade från databaserna PubMed, Cinahl och LWW, både artiklar med kvantitativ- och kvalitativ ansats är inkluderade. Resultatet visade att transformellt ledarskap kännetecknades av ledarens personliga egenskaper samt att ledaren hade ett stödjande ledarskap. Till de personliga egenskaperna räknades tydlighet, trovärdighet och uthållighet. Stödjande ledarskap innebar att ledaren hade ett lyhört lyssnande, såg styrkan hos varje enskild medarbetare och hade ett pedagogiskt förhållningssätt.
Att alliera sig med ungdomar i psykoterapeutisk behandling
Motivation till terapeutisk behandling ökar förutsättningarna fören god terapeutisk allians. Vid terapeutisk behandling med ungaklienter finns risken att motivationen är låg. En anledning är attdet i många fall är någon annan än den unga klienten själv somkontaktar terapeuten. En kvalitativ studie med intervjuer utfördesför att undersöka hur terapeuter motiverar unga klienter tillterapeutisk behandling samt hur de upplever en terapeutisk alliansmed en ung klient. I undersökningen deltog 10 kvinnor och 2 män.Resultatet visar att den unga klientens eget initiativ tillterapeutisk behandling, föräldrarnas stöd, terapeutens egenskaper,klientens egenskaper samt klientens och terapeutens gemensamma målär betydelsefulla faktorer för motivationsarbete.
Konflikthantering : Ett verktyg i det dagliga arbetet
Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka faktorer som kan vara av betydelse för att möjliggöra konflikthantering i det dagliga arbetet. Vi menar att om möjligheter skapas och initiativ tas från ledningens sida så kan organisationen utvecklas i en positiv riktning. Studien grundar sig delvis på teorier om vikten av att ha en tydlig struktur som uppfattas av medarbetarna som rättvis och att konflikter kan få konsekvenser för hela organisationen. Studien är av kvalitativ design och är utförd inom äldreomsorgen i en kommun i södra Sverige. Analysen visar att faktorer som: tydlig arbetsstruktur, gemensam vision och målsättning, utbildning inom konflikthantering, tydlig och öppen kommunikation, att ta sig tid till konflikthantering, att vara professionell och neutral och att ta ansvar och visa respekt har en betydande inverkan vid konflikthantering.
Undersökning av en industrifastighets material och resurshantering enligt miljöcertifieringssystemet LEED
Miljöcertifieringssystemet för byggnader, LEED (Leadership in Energy &
Environmental Design) lanserades 1998 i USA av USGBC (United States Green
Building Council). USGBC är en icke vinstdrivande organisation, vars mål är att
bidra till utökat hållbart byggande. Skanskas första byggnad som certifierades
enligt LEED färdigställdes 2001 i den amerikanska delstaten North Carolina. I
slutet av februari 2009 offentliggjordes det att Skanska skall införa systemet i sin
Nordiska organisation.
Undersökningen som genomförts handlar om ett av LEED New Constructions sex
delområden, Materials & Resources. Materialhanteringen för ett byggprojekt som
Skanska uppfört har analyserats för att avgöra huruvida det skulle kunna erhålla
poäng vid en certifiering enligt LEED.
Utomhuspedagogik- det outnyttjade rummet
Through a quantitative examination, 26 pedagogies in the pre-school activity answered a few questions in an enquiry about outdoor education. The purpose with this examination was to find out what pedagogies think and apprehend about outdoor education, and also if the "education plan" is in their minds during outdoor activities and if they see them self´s as competent in nature studies. They have also answered questions whether they think that they have good outdoor environment that stimulates children´s development and learning and if there´s any forest that they visit on regular basis.The pedagogies think that during time spent outdoor, it´s the motor skills that are best developed. All of the pedagogies mentioned above think that they need to get more educated in nature studies and also that pedagogies attitude towards time spent outdoors affect the children. They do not think about the goals and intentions of the "educations plan" all the time.
Vad bra att du kan : Barns inflytande och delaktighet i förskoleklassen
AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to study in what way teachers in preschool work with pupils enabling them to gain influence and involvement in their learning.Influence means being able to make your voice heard which is an important component of a democratic society. Involvement is about being part of a community in which everyone is welcomed regardless of beliefs and opinions. Several of today's researchers believe that learning occurs in interaction between people. Teachers providing meaningful assignments to pupils, they become more motivated to learn.The study is based on observations of how teachers work with influence and involvement in controlled sessions, and interpretations of them. My results show that children become involved in their learning when they are confronted with a variety of pedagogical approaches to learning.
"Tack och lov så händer det inte så ofta" : En studie av fyra socialsekreterares erfarenheter av hot och våld från klienter
The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of threats and violence among four social workers at a social services' reception center for individual and family care. The study uses semistructured interviews and an abductive approach. The analysis is based on previous research, communication theory, coping and sense of coherence, SOC. The study shows that the studied workplace isn't considered to be particularly exposed to threats and violence, although all four respondents have experienced threats and/or violence. The respondents make a difference between threats and harsh words from clients because they consider their clients are entitled to be upset considering the nature of the work conducted at the workplace.
