Sverige står inför en stor generationsväxling nu när 40-talisterna närmar sig pension och 80-och 90-talister ska börja inta arbetsmarknaden. Idag är nästintill 150 000 ungdomar arbetslösa samtidigt som de ska ta över efter den mycket större kullen 40-talister som snart ska gå i pension, hur hanterar organisationer den utmaningen? Hur förbereder sig organisationer för den växlingen av medarbetare så att inte kompetensen som 40-talisterna besitter lämnar organisationerna och hur arbetar de med att växla in ungdomar in i verksamheterna? Det är ett flertal utmaningar som Sveriges företag står inför och framförallt den offentliga sektorn som sedan tidigare har problem att vara en attraktiv arbetsgivare för ungdomar och locka till sig ny arbetskraft, kommunal sektor är den verksamhet som ungdomar finner mest oattraktiv.Kompetensöverföringen kommer spela en viktig roll för att hantera utmaningarna som generationsväxlingen innebär så att det inte förekommer ett allt för stort kunskapstapp för organisationens verksamhet. Chefer inom organisationen har ett stort ansvar framför sig att kunna förbereda och hantera pensionsavgångarna samt se till att ny arbetskraft finns att rekrytera in till organisationerna.För att se närmare på problemet har jag, i en kommunal organisation utfört en undersökning med fem förvaltningschefer, i form av intervjuer, med syfte att undersöka hur kommunen arbetar för att behålla kompetens inom kommunen som organisation och hur de arbetar med den uppgiften. Samt att se hur kommunen som organisation förbereder generationsväxlingar, genom att planera effektivt och strategiskt när det kommer till medarbetare som förväntas gå i pension men även hur de rekryterar ungdomar och unga vuxna.

The purpose of this thesis is to find out the reasons and perhaps some answers to the problem as we see it, the sickness benefit expiration of those who experience this. By this said we have also taken into account the different laws and adjustments in the long-term sickness benefit, but also major reformation of the security net in the Swedish society. The efficiency of the law on passive long-term sickness absence was added in July 2008, but was later in January 2010 supplemented. The purpose of this law wasn?t only to reduce the long-term sickness absence but also to reduce exclusion.

Trots att 40-talisterna går i pension har dagens unga chefer svårt att ta sig ut i arbetslivet med ledarskap som inriktning eftersom företagen efterfrågar personer med erfarenhet. Det är svårt att hävda sig för de unga cheferna trots att många har gått i pension. Forskning visar att entreprenörer mår bättre än anställda på företag. Arbetslösheten är dubbelt så hög bland unga än äldre och sannolikheten för att en person ska starta eget är två till tre gånger större om de har en egenföretagare till föräldrar. The thesis presents an optimally designed kinematic structure for a new 6-DOF haptic devicebased on TAU configuration. The configuration of the TAU-2 proposed by Suleman Khan andKjell Andersson [1] was modified and its mobility was verified by using Grübler criterion tohave a 6 DOF. Analytical kinematic models for the inverse and forward kinematics weredeveloped for the haptic TAU configuration to determine a set of optimal design parameters.Kinematic performance indices such as volume of the workspace, kinematic isotropy and payload index, were defined based on the singular values of the Jacobian matrix. The Jacobianmatrix was scaled to homogenize the physical units. The Jacobian matrix dependent on theposition and orientation of the end-effector gives local isotropy and pay load index, so globaldesign indices were defined, which represent the performance of the mechanism in the wholeworkspace.

This thesis examines how techniques from place marketing, developed to market places, can be used in the process of designing a visual identity for an institution. The thesis is a case study of the development of a new visual identity for the public art institution Malmö konsthall. The essay presents Malmö Konsthall, defines the term visual identity and describes the main principles in place branding. I then define target audiences and key values, discuss the application of place marketing principle and go through the design process of the new visual identity. The process showed that theories about flagship buildings, signature design and signature districts have the biggest influence on the design.

The videos aredesigned to offer a complement to other course material for a specific element of a specific mathcourse and are directed to the target group of students studying the latter. Within this work, MathVideos on the Net have been created for the Swedish upper secondary school courses Matematik1b and 1c.The study aims to describe, analyze and interpret whether, and if so, how Math Videos on theNet can help support the work of teachers and students? development of knowledge in the firstmathematics course of the Swedish upper secondary school.

I have done a comparative gender study of Library of Congress Classification from 1900 and 2001. I have also used a hermeneutic method and ideological critics to find out what picture of women the both systems shows. In my comparative study of the both systems I have found low update of classes which relates to women in the new classification system. Men seem to be a norm in the system, because men are not defined in classes related to both men and women. But many classes related to women are named Women as and Women in The study also shows that women are more related to subjects about family and marriage than men are.

SummaryAt the start of my employment at the Swedish National social insurance office I was a bit confused because there were two categories which I defined as belonging to the same category (working handicapped) but it wasn?t so. The persons I where going to meet was defined as having incapacity to work and therefore, they were defined as not standing to the labour markets conversion. They were defined as being to sick for being at the labour market. The aim of this work is to shed light on what grounds a decision concerning a person which will be categorized as incapable of working and looking at the categorized person?s status.

The purpose of this essay was to see how the construction of elderly immigrants as a problem in healthcare and elderly care has been described in the relevant literature. In the course of doing so I tried to answer the following questions; What is said to be the expected problems or difficulties in work with eldely immigrants? How are the expected members of the problemgroup defined and identified? Whos perspective dominates the description of the problem, the users or the investigators? These questions were hard to answer and I had to conclude that the problem was not clearly defined; there was only an assumption of a problem. This, however, has not been a hindrance in the category of elderly immigrants being claimed to be a group with problems that need research and further investigation. The dominating perspective is that of the investigators as they are the ones who define and identify who is a part of the problemgroup..

This Masters thesis is performed at the request of the National Board of Forestry in order to investigate how the Swedish municipalities use their forests. The study is of general character with emphasis on the social values of the forests. The municipalities? purposes with their forests have varied over time, but lately the social aspects have been recognised as interesting. The social values of the forests can be defined as the values from the forests that contribute to the wealth of humans. This has socio-economic importance for the municipalities. The study was performed as a quantitative questionnaire survey, complemented with qualitative interviews.

Då medellivslängden bland Sveriges befolkning ökar stadigt samt att vi idag är friskare och piggare i högre ålder har frågan om pensionsåldern åter gjorts aktuell. Mot denna bakgrund har regeringen tillsatt en utredningsgrupp för att analysera för- och nackdelar samt konsekvenserna av ett längre arbetsliv. Då detta väckte många negativa reaktioner i media fångades vårt intresse för frågan, särskilt då den genomsnittliga pensionsåldern idag ligger på ca 63 år bland människor som anses fysiskt och psykiskt friska att arbeta fram till 65 års ålder.Syftet är att undersöka om och i så fall hur äldre människor kan motiveras att stanna kvar längre i arbetslivet samt om det finns ett behov av motivationsteorier för äldre människor. Denna kunskap ska förhoppningsvis sedan kunna användas av arbetsgivare som är intresserade av att behålla sina äldre anställda samt bidra till vidare forskning runt åldersbaserad motivationsteori.Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie med induktiv ansats. Forskningen har bedrivits med tvärsnittsdesign och empiri har huvudsakligen samlats in med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer.Det vi kom fram till i denna uppsats var att äldre människor, under rätt förutsättningar, kan motiveras att stanna kvar längre i arbetslivet.

This master thesis in economics discusses the time use of today as well as the observed trends in time use over the last 20 years in Sweden. This is done by analysing time-use and consumption data at the microeconomic level, i.e. by explaining individual behaviour given the economic assumption of a rational behaviour. We reach the conclusion that the value of time is an important explanatory variable concerning the rationality in that time is used differently by different individuals and in the changed use of time.
