The two swedish unions, Akademikerförbundet SSR and Kommunal, have a majority of female participations who mainly work in the public services. The difference between the unions is that one of them only represents members with academic educations and the other has members with lower educations. The aim of this study was to compare the two unions according to the terms exit, voice and loyalty, but also participation and influence. There were 142 participants in this study and 8 participants were interviewed in a pre-study. The result of the study shows that voice is a strong predictor to wellbeing in work life.

Semantic feature analysis (SFA) is a treatment technique used foraphasic word finding difficulties after stroke. The method has earlier beenevaluated with positive outcome regarding words that have been trainedduring intervention while more varied results have been presented regardinguntrained words. The aim of this study was therefore to evaluate the effectsof the method on naming in untrained nouns and verbs, in both confrontationnaming and in discourse. The present study is the first to evaluate SFA withSwedish-speaking persons. A single-subject design was used.

SAMMANFATTNING Bakgrund: Whiplashrelaterade besvär är vanligt förekommande efter en bilolycka. En behandling för dessa patienter är steloperation av övre nackkotpelaren. Dock finns lite forskning kring hur detta i allmänhet och i synnerhet ur ett beteendemedicinskt perspektiv kan påverka en patient. Syfte: Var att utvärdera om steloperation av övre nackkotpelaren hade effekt för två patienter med långvariga whiplashrelaterade besvär, avseende vissa beteendemedicinska aspekter innehållande psykologiska och kognitiva funktioner. Metod: Experimentell single?subject studie som innehåller baslinje-, interventions- och uppföljandemätningar (A1-B-A2 design).

 In his book Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language (1982) Saul Kripke claims that Wittgenstein argues for a certain form of scepticism in his book Philosophical Investigations (1953), namely a new form of philosophical scepticism, a result of Wittgenstein´s idea of language as language games. Nihilism, scepticism of meaning or of concept, constitutive scepticism are other commentators´ different names of the same phenomenon. The philosophy of Wittgenstein accounts for how our words, including the words of mathematics, have no meaning and there are no a priori justified objective facts as to what I mean about a word. We follow the rules blindly and without justification. We are unable to find any facts against this proposal.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka vilken betydelse finlandssvenska kvinnors upplevda nivå av stress, självkänsla och emotion management (att kunna hantera de egna känslorna) hade för deras förmåga att anpassa sig till en ny tillvaro i Schweiz. Utöver detta syftade studien att klargöra vilka överlappningar som fanns mellan self-efficacy och dimensionerna i Black, Mendenhall och Oddou (1991) modellen över internationell anpassning. Fyra olika skalor användes för att undersöka relationen mellan anpassningsförmåga och variablerna ovan. Resultatet baserat på 35 respondenter visade att anpassningsförmåga korrelerade både med självkänsla och self-efficacy (tilltro till sin egen förmåga). Kvinnorna skattade anpassningen till livet i Schweiz som ringa krävande, hade låga stressupplevelser och en god självkänsla.

The purpose of this thesis was to study how preschool teachers interpret the values of the preschool curriculum that relates to culture and how the teachers describe how they work with these values in their professional practice. The study is based on social constructive and discourse analytic perspectives. I have studied how preschool teachers construct the concept of culture and the values of the preschool curriculum through a specific way to describe this. A specific way to talk about something is called a discourse. In other words I have studied preschool teachers expressed discourses about culture and their professional practice with the values of the preschool curriculum.To study this, I've done interviews with four preschool teachers.

Sweden has a growing proportion of children living in a multilingual environment. It is thus highly important that caretakers as well as professionals who meet these children have knowledge of multilingualism and its impact on language development. Also, an increase of referrals of multilingual children with suspected language impairment to speech and language pathology clinics is seen.The objective of this study was to investigate the linguistic ability in both Swedish and Arabic in a four year old child with suspected language impairment. A further aim was to implement an intensive intervention and evaluate the efficacy of it. Language testing in both languages showed that the boy?s greatest need was in the lexical domain.

Information overload occurs when the amount of information exceeds the individual s capacity to efficiently process and use the information available. In this situation information instead of being an asset becomes a load. This interview study deals with college students experiences of information overload when working on their thesis. Focus lies on use of Internet based information resources. The main result was that the students experienced information overload in specific situations and steps of the process.

Mindfulness har pa? senare tid ba?de testats och diskuterats som en strategi fo?r att komma tillra?tta med detta problem (Gardner & Moore, 2012; Birrer, Ro?thlin & Morgan, 2012).Syftet med den befintliga studien var att med hja?lp av en pathanalys pro?va delar av Birrer et al.?s (2012) fo?reslagna modell genom att vid tre ma?tningar underso?ka sambanden mellan dispositionell mindfulness, en pa?verkansmekanism (a?ltande) och tva? idrottspsykologiska fa?rdigheter (self-efficacy och a?terha?mtning).Som underlag fo?r studien anva?ndes en enka?t som sammanlagt 65 idrottare varav 33 kvinnor och 32 ma?n besvarade. Medela?ldern var 22,78 a?r (SD=4,66).Resultatet av pathanalysen visade att dispositionell mindfulness vid ma?ttillfa?lle 1 var en signifikant prediktor fo?r a?ltande vid ma?ttillfa?lle 2 och att a?ltande i sin tur var en signifikant prediktor fo?r a?terha?mtning vid ma?ttillfa?lle 3.

This essay investigates the work situation for teacher educators at a university with focus on the subject areas education, research and administration. The research questions contain the work situation the teacher educators have, how they apprehend it, and how they find their position within the work organisation. Six interviews have been executed at the teacher education at a university. Some of the results from the investigation indicate that the teacher educators find education to be very a very demanding work and that the split of work during the academic year is uneven. The work with administration before and after the education, for example work with syllabuses and descriptions for courses, are activities demanding much time.

Problem: How should a company act to sustain a strong identity and thereby a strong brand image when operating in a changeable world?Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze whether the corporate identity of Academic Work is strong or fragmented. Further more this thesis aims to give recommendations on how the company could continue working to maintain a strong brand image. Methodology: The thesis is a case study of Academic Work. The study is based on data collected from interviews, a poll as well as data from the company website.

The purpose of this study is to examine how consultants define conceptions of diversity and discrimination. There has also been an aim to find connections to the term intersectionality within the consultants? definitions. The link between consultants and academic research is interesting to examine in order to examine what they base their definitions of different conceptions on. In order to explore these definitions and discussions I have used the qualitative method of interviewing each consultant separately at different occasions.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka kvinnors upplevelser av utbrändhet ur ett somatiskt, psy¬kiskt och socialt perspektiv. Vidare var syftet att belysa de copingstrategier som kvinnorna använt sig av för att kunna återgå till arbetet. Ett ytterligare syfte var att belysa hur ovanstående aspekter förändrats enligt kvinnorna efter utbrändheten och vilka copingstrategier de använt sig av för att förhindra ny utbrändhet. Fem kvinnor intervjuades och materialet analyserades med hjälp av teoristyrd och induktiv tematisk analys. Resultatet kopplades sedan till teo¬rin om kognitiv värdering, self-efficacy teorin och teorier om naturens och den fysiska aktivitetens betydelse för välmåendet.

LEDAthe chair as representativean exploring work on added value throughaesthetics and function.The project deals with portraying a chair. A chair thatwill raise questions regarding added value, questioning oursurroundings and not taking things for granted. Through anumber of properly selected words, I have built a collectionof objects that possess the basis of a chair. The words arebased on sources of inspiration; I picked up over the yearsand can be seen as a part of me and my inner self. QuestionsI asked myself concerns the impact of aesthetic and how itrelates to the function.
