In this work, I describe the factors that affect the bucking of pine logs on the basis of the machine operator. The aim is to find an explanation why the bucking differs so greatly between requested length results and the actual length results in pine bucking. The used methods in this study were data from simulated pine outcomes, data from earlier length outcomes and analysis of the harvesters' PRI files. This is to identify the problem. To explain the background to the problems a qualitative research interview was used.

The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze success factors in the integration of students with special needs in regular schools. This will be done through the case study of a nine year old autistic student in a small town public school ? a fairly representative case for the Swedish school system. The data collection methods used in the paper are; three participant observations of the student, and a qualitative interview with two of the student?s teachers.

The project is about making a Re-Design of the Swedish Socialistic Newspaper ?Dagens ETC?. The background to the project is my search for commitment when I work with a specific customer or project and how importantthat commitment are?The project was from the beginning split up to three different phases. The meaning of the first phase where to make a re-design mainly based on a interview with Johan Ehernberg, the chef editor on ETC.The second phase was a design totally made of my own idea and creative view as a Graphic Designer.I had in mind to make the third phase based on the result of the first two phases.During phase one and two I reconsidered and decided to skip the third step and put more effort in to the two first ones.

AbstractOutsourcing is a business strategy that has developed over the last 40 years. Outsourcing means to let another company do some activity within the company, for example production.The thesis for this paper is: How is outsourcing used in a manufacturing company today and how is the resource efficiency affected by it? The research is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part consists of a study of literature. The works in this study is books, text books, bachelor thesis paper and scientific articles.

Through semi-structured interviews with 8 school photographers and 10 parents,this study attempted to clarify what photographers and parents of children(aged 1?5) in preschool think of photography business in the current situationprovides retouching children?s school photographs and what they considers tobe acceptable. The result shows that companies do not offer photo retouchingfrequent, but performs this service at the direct request of the customer. Themajority of parents agreed that dirt and food was accepted to be removed fromthe photograph, and that this does not affect the child's self image. The photographersbelieve that one should be very careful when it comes to children andretouching, and that the debate is important..

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how organisations can keep their crisis preparedness alert although crises do not occur often. A crisis organisation will lay dormant within a larger organisation for long periods of time. This may cause a problem when a crisis does occur if the preparedness has not been kept alive.From previous researchers that we have studied within this field we have identified two distinct methods to do this. The first focuses on the importance of detailed crisis plans, while the other method suggests that it is more essential to develop specific competencies with the employees. We also find that keeping knowledge within an organisation is a matter of organisational learning and memory which we therefore discuss and analyse.We have performed an interview study at E.ON in Örebro, and we have also had the opportunity to read E.ON?s crisis plan.

The purpose of our essay is to describe and analyse the experience of adults growing up with alcohol abusing parents and how their adult lives have been affected by this. The essay consists of both theoretical and empirical studies and we have used a qualitative method. We used a semi structured interview where we interviewed eight persons. We used symbolic interaction to analyse the collected data. The result is to a large extent consistent with previous research.

Denna studies syfte är att undersöka de faktorer som motiverar ideella arbetare i evenemangsprojekt samt hur projektledare resonerar och reflekterar kring att motivera ideella arbetare. Studien ämnar att ta reda på hur projektledare från fyra olika evenemangsprojekt gör för att motivera ideella arbetare. Resultatet kan bidra till att framtida projektledare får tips kring vilka verktyg de kan använda för att skapa motivation hos sina ideella arbetare.Studiens huvudfrågor med tillhörande underfrågor är:? Hur agerar projektledare för att skapa motivation hos de som arbetar ideellt i evenemangsprojekt?- Vilka delar i projektledarens agerande är de mest framgångsrika gällande att skapa motivation?? Hur tänker projektledare kring motivation hos ideella arbetare?- Vad motiverar ideella arbetare i evenemangsprojekt?Resultaten i studien kommer från den kvalitativa metoden informant- och respondentintervju. Intervjuerna hålls med fyra olika projektledare, en från varje organisation samt två ideella arbetare från varje organisation.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the thoughts and opinions of a selected group of people regarding the terrorist attack that occurred in Stockholm 12/11-2010. This study has been conducted through the method of focus group interview. The study was methodologically and theoretically inspired by Grounded Theory, which simply means that the participants' opinions have formed the theory of the study. As a result of the study, we can see that the main focus of the discussion held by the participants was through a we and them thinking-perspective. Furthermore, the study reveals that the participants tried to include who we (muslims) are, and to exclude who they (non muslims) are, while arguing in the discussion. Another definition is the one of here and there, where the participants defined terrorism and what causes it. Finally, media's role was discussed in relation to the creation of the medie-muslim. To explain the participants' perceptive, part of Appadurai?s Fear of small numbers and part of Brune?s Dark magic in the white media was used..

The overall purpose of this master essay is to investigate whether there is an interest among people near retirement to contribute with their knowledge and experience after they reach the defined retirement age. Furthermore, I would like to investigate if they want to continue with their old jobs, full time/part time or to do something else, which is beneficial to the society. I also want to find out how the older people view themselves to continuing to work. Also which types of social and structural barriers that might exist for them and why. The aim is also to investigate what types of knowledge and experience they believe could be used in the future community.

The use of bio energy in Sweden has increased during the last few years and with every passing year, bio energy produces 3-4 TWh´s more energy than the previous year. The increase in the use of bio energy makes it an interesting prospect for forest companies to produce bio energy from the forest. Sveaskog has a fairly extensive bio energy programme, mainly in southern and middle Sweden. Their activity regarding bio energy in northern Sweden has been very restrictive or even non-existent. Because of this, during the winter of 2003-2004, Sveaskog initiated a number of degree projects with the purpose of looking at the use of bio energy in northern Sweden.

The purpose of this study was to interview different groups of people (preschool teatcher, parents and theire childen) involved in preschool about their view on outdoor activity and children´s motoric development, and how a preschool yard should be designed to promote childrens development.All parties regard outdoor activity as very important for the development of children. They also think that the outdoor environment today is good but that it could be improved by including some trees and hills. The yard should also contain soil, sand, clay and water. The children prefer grass on the ground over other substrates. This study also gives good indications to decision makers how to build new or to reconstruct pre-school yards in the future..

Syftet med min studie var att beskriva vilka hinder invandrarföretagare möter i inom Linköpings kommun.För att få ett resultat har jag ställt 4 olika forskningsfrågor om byråkrati,skattebestämmelser, myndighetsspråk och vardagsspråk som  huvudsyfte.Mitt tillvägagångssätt har baserats på 7 intervjuer med personer som har olika bakgrund och jobbar inom skiftande organisationer och företag. Som aktörer har jag valt Skatteverket, Nulink och Nyföretagarcentrum i Linköping.De personer som jag har gjort intervju med heter Susanne Eriksson(företagare), Elin Walin (företagare), Ali Reza Ghodoosi(företagare) och Maryam Azmand (tidigare företagare).När jag har tittat på resultatet då ser jag ett tydligt och starkt mönster kring informanternas uppfattningar om mina indikatorer.Om man tittar på myndigheters svar då ser man en tendens kring uppfattning av byråkrati, skattebestämmelser samt myndighetsspråk. Jag ser nämligen också att det finns tydliga skillnader mellan företagare som är inrikes födda med företagare med utländsk bakgrund vad gäller förståelse kring mina frågeställningar.I mitt arbete slås jag av att en informant ser byråkrati som något negativt och personer med utländsk bakgrund har svårt att uppfatta myndighetsbyråkrati.Jag tycker också att det är intressant att de officiella personerna tycker att skattereglerna har blivit enklare medan invandrarföretagare tycker att det är svårt med skatteregler. När jag tittar på vardagsspråk som mitt huvudsyfte så tycker förstås jag att företagare med utländsk bakgrund bör se det svenska språket som nyckel till allting precis såsom språkläraren tycker. Slutligen ser jag ett klart och tydligt mönster mellan svenska företagare och invandrarföretagare vilket innebär att svenska företagare har lätt att anpassa sig efter gällande regler mot bakgrunden av att svenska är modersmål för dem medan invandrarföretagare har problem med anpassning till regler och lagar vilket beror på det svenska språket som ett hinder, enligt min tolkning..

Through previous studies during my education, I have experienced that chemical deicing road salt is a known problem, mainly in southern Sweden. Road salt causes damage to the environment and also damage to vehicles and structures such as bridges, etc. Road salt causes vehicles and steel constructions to rust, leading to increased costs for repairs of damage to structures. Road salt also causes damage to the plants and the economy to suffer, when plant material and soil needs to be replaced. In order to get closer to a solution, I put up three questions.
