Event projects are carried out in Sweden and it is important that the planning phase is carried out thoroughly to get a successful project. This thesis aims to look more closely at selected organizations and how they plan their projects and whether it is possible to follow project plans in the event projects. Metso Paper in Karlstad is acquiring Kvaerner Pulping and Kvaerner Kamfab, also located in Karlstad. Following this acquisition, there are going to be changes in the organizational structure and some employees might even loose their jobs. There are guidelines from the European Union how to handle situations like this, the purpose of these are to protect the employees. There are also Swedish laws that regulate the protection of the employees when a company is acquired, who is going to keep their job and who is to be made redundant.The transaction between the companies is large why they need an approval from the European Union. The European Union has certain demands for the approval.

The purpose of this essay is to examine if the municipality has a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project.In Karlstad there is now (2006) a large building project in form of a shopping mall. This project is in its final stage of completion and offers me a suitable case to examine. To undertake the purpose of the essay, the following research question is formulated:Do the municipality have a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project as the Mitt I City project?In an attempt to examine the project and the planning process, three themes are applied. The first theme derives from the hypothesis that the part that initiate the process gets the upper hand as future discussions are taking place in relation to the original ideas.

During the spring semester of 2012 did Petra Hollsten independently a thesis on reducing the environmental impact of capsule for coffee, tea and chocolate. The work was performed at Karlstad University, Faculty of Technology and Science under the Bachelor of Science program in innovation, technology and design. Företag ser idag sina medarbetare som sin viktigaste resurs, som genom dess kompetens bevarar och skapar kontakter med kunder. Det är kunderna som avgör om de varor och tjänster som levereras innehar den kvalité som kunden efterfrågar. För att få svar på hur medarbetarna anser om sin arbetsplats och även vad kunderna tycker om företagen görs human- och marknadskapitalmätningar.Vi har i vår uppsats undersökt vilken vikt de två storbanker, Föreningssparbanken och SEB, lägger på sina human- och marknadskapitalmätningar. Studien är gjord utifrån en enkätundersökning på de två ovannämnda bankerna i Karlstad samt intervjuer med tre respondenter.Resultatet av vår studie visar hur medarbetarna och ledningen ser på mätningarna och de effekter som blir till följd av dessa åsikter.Med hjälp av vårt framarbetade material så kan vi i vår slutsats styrka vår antydan om att ledningen lägger stor vikt vid mätningarna av human- och marknadskapital som vi trodde innan vi börjadevårt uppsatsskrivande. Dessutom visar vi på att även medarbetarna fäster en stor vikt vid nämnda mätningar..

During the 20th century Sweden faced an increased proportion of workers registered as part-time unemployed, especially in the care sector. However, due to many valuable efforts, aimed at solving the problem of part time unemployment and political decisions, the number of people who are part-time unemployed has declined since the late 20th century. We have investigated part-time workers preferential right to extending their working hours. According to Section 25 a of the Employment Protection Act, part-time employees who have submitted an interest in increasing their working hours has a preferential right to increased working hours, with the assumptions that full-time employment with the employer will meet a labor need that the employee has sufficient qualifications for.Qualitative interviews have given us information about how Karlstad Community and a private care company deal with part-time unemployment and their workers preferential right to extending their working hours. We have found that people who work for Karlstad Community have an opportunity to choose their number of workings hours, thanks to a political decision made in Karlstad Community, aimed at solving the part time unemployment in the care sector.

Den traditionella bilden av en flygplats som ett ställe där uttråkade resenärer sitter och väntar på att så snabbt som möjligt få åka därifrån, håller på att förändras. Många flygplatser har numera utvecklats till att bli mycket mer än gråa väntsalar och flera stora internationella flyg­platser så som Heathrow i London kan idag jämföras med shoppingcenter. Detta gör att flyg­platserna nu inte bara lockar resenärer utan även andra som exempelvis bor i flygplatsens när­område. Den kommersiella delen av flygplatsernas verksamhet har blivit en viktig inkomst­källa för många flygplatser, speciellt eftersom konkurrensen på marknaden hårdnar och in­komsterna från den flygrelaterade verksamheten minskar. Även i Sverige arbetar man inom LFV (tidigare Luftfartsverket) med att öka sina flygplatsers kommersiella verksamhet. Dock är resurserna mer begränsade och antalet resenärer betydligt färre på de regionala flygplatserna i Sverige jämfört med på stora internationella flygplatser.

Being physically active is important for a healthty lifestyle, but what do the girls who have quit playing sports in an atheltic club do afterwards, or the girls who are not active within an athletic club what so ever. It is the girls who are not active in an athletic club that Karlstad municipality wants to attract to the spontaneous sports sites there are within the city limits. They also want the girls opinion on how to improve the sites in order for the girls to want to go there.The purpose with this study was to investigate this. This study used qalitative research method. The study interviewed seven girls aged 14-17 years.

Sjukskrivningar har blivit ett växande problem och företag måste värna om sin personal för att hålla den frisk. Många företag har insett vikten av att satsa på förebyggande åtgärder för att undkomma långtidssjukskrivningar. Vårt huvudsyfte med denna undersökning är att ta fram de friskfaktorer som påverkar välmående. För att göra detta har vi valt ett företag med låg sjukfrånvaro, SBAB i Karlstad.Tidigare forskning visar på lönsamheten av förebyggande åtgärder framför rehabilitering. För att kartlägga vart insatserna bör göras är det angeläget för företag att vara medvetna om vad som håller personalen frisk.

They wish to know if and then how much it?s possible to minimize the wall thickness of the valve with neither plastic nor to big elastic deformations caused by processing.The most critical processes have been identified as rough lathing. The study has shown that the marginal for a wall thickness of two millimeters, to fall short of the yield stress in the most critical process, is good.

Platsmarknadsföring är ett växande fenomen internationellt och i Sverige, då det påstås att ?städer tävlar mot andra städer? om besöksnäringen, nyetableringar av företag och befolkning. Att platsmarknadsföra sin stads specifika värden, genom att paketera och ?sälja? in staden, har blivit mer av en regel än ett undantag, där man genom texter och bilder vill lyfta fram stadens specifika kvalitéer.Men vad gömmer sig i skuggsidan av platsmarknadsföringen? Och vidare vad blir effekterna av de bilder man visar upp av staden?Många kritiska forskare menar att risken är att befolkningen i staden inte känner igen bilden av sin stad och då känner sig åsidosatta och platsmarknadsföringen förlorar då sin styrka. Därför blir också intern platsmarknadsföring oerhört viktigt för att vinna legitimitet hos befolkningen.I min undersökning har jag gjort en djupstudie av Karlstad relativt nya platsvarumärke °Karlstad med tillhörande platsvarumärkesmaterial.
