Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur väl webbplatsen för Karlstad Universitetsbibliotek möter studenters behov på mobila enheter, samt huruvida de anser att en biblioteksapp skulle utgöra ett behövligt komplement i framtiden. Uppsatsen riktar sig främst till Karlstads Universitetsbibliotek men kan även tänkas vara av intresse för bibliotek vid liknande lärosäten.För ändamålet upprättades två prototyper, varav den ena representerade befintlig webbplats på mobiltelefoner, medan den andra utgjorde ett exempel på hur en biblioteksapp skulle kunna se ut. Under jämförelsetester fick sedan studenter genomföra en grupprumsbokning och söka upp en elektronisk resurs i respektive prototyp samt besvara enkätfrågor.Av resultatet att döma finns ett intresse kring en biblioteksapp bland Karlstad Universitets studenter, då de gärna vill ha tillgång till bibliotekets tjänster på sina mobiltelefoner även om befintlig webbplats upplevs som krånglig på denna plattform. Aim: To examine director?s experiences of the process to implement smoke-free working hours and also their need of support to make it feasible in the municipality of Östhammar. Method: A qualitative interview study with a descriptive design was used. Semi-structured interviews were made with six directors who were selected from different levels, localities and administrations in the municipality of Östhammar. A qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the data.Results: Many positive aspects were pointed out regarding the implementation of smoke-free working hours.

Two of the main approach roads into the city of Enköping are Salavägen and Stockholmsvägen. They are connected to each other through the street Bangårdsgatan in the roundabout Salatullen and crossing Fannakorset, respectively. These crossings are from time to time heavily loaded, which is why the municipality plan for a new street in parallel to Bangårdsgatan. The traffic will then be spread out and is thereby reducing the density. The new street is actually an extension of the existing Mästergatan, a side street to Salavägen, to the east and connecting it to Stockholmsvägen or a street nearby.The purpose of this Master thesis is to show how the new street can be drawn in order to discharge the traffic in the area between the roundabout Salatullen and the crossing Fannakorset.

The thesis explores what is meant by multiculturalism in today's Sweden based on burial grounds and funerals in a minor municipality. This is done through an ethnographic case study of the municipality of Vara. The study aims to investigate how multiculturalism looks and is responded to. The study maps which aspects are placed on multiculturalism in a minor municipality and which adaptations and compromises are highlighted. This is done within the framework of theories concerning multiculturalism and social identity, and the result of the empirical case study is presented by applying the theories to the material. From burial places and funerals, social collective and individual identities are analysed based on the social categories of religion/faith/secularity and place belonging, based on the perspectives of rituals and traditions as well as the location of the grave. The study finds that there are several aspects of multiculture in the burial grounds, as multiculture not only includes cultural influences from immigrants but also the different preferences of the local villages, in combination with the development of society, and Sweden in general.

BakgrundArbetsmarknaden präglas av både arbetslöshet och brist på arbetskraft. Det visar sig vara så att det finns en obalans gällande efterfrågan på olika yrken. Samtidigt som det finns ett överflöd av individer med en särskild kompetens kan det alltså vara brist på individer med en annan kompetens. I Värmlands län och Karlstad kommun råder det arbetskraftsbrist på förskollärare. En utmaning har uttalats vara att utbildade förskollärare tar anställning i en annan kommun och i viss mån även hos privat sektor.

The public sector is a major purchaser of goods and services. By setting requirements for environmental and social considerations in public procurement, an authority has the possibility to use consumer power to influence the actors in a market. The purpose of this paper is to investigate public procurement of textile products in a municipality, in order to gain knowledge about factors that may be important for the use of environmental and social criteria. Håkan Hydén´s (professor in sociology of law) norm model was used as the basis of the analysis, where the conduct was investigated along three dimensions of the norm ? willingness, knowledge and system conditions ? in order to identify underlying factors that can influence the process.The results ? analyzed by using interviews and documents ? show that the procurer's willingness, motivation and knowledge are important factors in this context, as well as the political priority of the municipality.

Finanskrisen som förändrade hela världens ekonomiska situation kom till Sverige under hösten 2008. Media har ägnat krisen stor uppmärksamhet och som följd har en stor osäkerhet skapats och flertalet människor känner sig inte lika ekonomiskt trygga längre. Osäkerheten kan i sin tur ha lett till att människors konsumtion förändrats. Enligt nyhetsartiklar har detaljhandelsföretag påverkats i olika stor omfattning av finanskrisen och den lågkonjunktur som råder. Oavsett konjunktur är varulager en stor post hos detaljhandelsföretag och det är viktigt att den värderas på ett rättvisande sätt. Förutom värderingen måste företagen även se till att ha en bra balans mellan att kunna möta kundernas efterfrågan och samtidigt hålla kostnaderna nere.

Turism har blivit ett globalt fenomen och det finns olika anledningar till varför människor väljeratt resa. Det är viktigt att kunna erbjuda olika aktiviteter för att locka olika målgrupper tilldestinationer. Evenemangsturismen är ett fenomen som har växt runt om i världen under desenaste åren och ett evenemangs största roll är att ge destinationen en möjlighet till att bli en platspå kartan genom turism. Inom evenemangsturism är sportevenemang och festivaler en centraldel. Denna uppsats behandlar evenemang med inriktning på marknadsföring ochdestinationsutveckling.

The purpose of this study is to achieve a greater understanding of the perception of the use of Special Educational Needs Coordinators? (SENCOs?) competence in school. The informants of this study are the director of the school district, two principals and six teachers in two schools in a municipality in Sweden. The method used for this study is qualitative interviews, and the results have been analyzed using perspectives on special education. The results show that the director of the school district has one ideal view of SENCOs working close to the principals with supervision of teachers, school development, administrative tasks etc.

The aim with our study has been to examine how preschool-staffs resonate about the notification requirements according to Chapter 14, section 1, The Social Services Act, when a child fare badly or is suspected to fare badly: first, in relation to the municipality´s policies, but also in relation to the preschool staff´s actions in individual cases. Our study was conducted by qualitative research with semi-structured interviews. Total has two child´s nurses and six preschool-teachers, active within Växjö´s municipality, been interviewed. The result showed that the municipality´s guidelines on the one hand, underpinned by giving a prescribed pattern of behavior for preschool staff on how to act if the suspected that a child to fare badly. On the other hand preschool staff also experienced the guidelines diffuse as there were nothing described of the transition of how much they should document and observe before a notification could be initiated to the headmaster.

This study raises the question how the implementation of the balanced scorecard in the municipality of Gotland has been influenced by the way of communication. A case study is made in the administration of Social-and care management on Gotland. We have been focusing on two different ways of communication. The first one is Shannon and Weavers model where communication is explained as a transmission of a message through a channel to a receiver. The other one is sensemaking where it is focal to give the information meaning.

Municipalities with a higher amount of female representatives has been shown to be more gender equal. Earlier reasearch has also shown that female politicians are more likely than male politicans to represent immigrants and refugees interests. However, the effect of female representation has not been tested on other subordinated groups than women. Swedish municipalities have full autonomy regarding refugee reception and local politicians are responsible for the decision on the amount of refugees that the municipality accept. The variations of female and male politicians in the local assemblies are expected to have different outcomes on the refugee reception, according to females social backgrounds and experiences.

Det rådande samhällsklimatet, landets ekonomi i stort samt den ökande arbetslösheten, i landet har lett till att fler människor än någonsin tidigare söker sig till eftergymnasiala utbildningar. Regeringen har de senaste åren skjutit till pengar för att skapa fler studieplatser. Även om antalet studieplatser har ökat, så är rekryteringen till de olika universiteten något skev. Resultatet blir att det uppstår ett enormt söktryck på vissa skolor, medan en del får svårt att fylla platserna. Ett annat dilemma är att antalet utbildningsalternativ har ökat markant vilket också bidrar till denna effekt.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young people at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and pride. The number of people who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. There has not been this high since World War II. The Swedish Migration Board calculated that about 7,000 of these people were unaccompanied children and came to Sweden in 2014.

Vi har på uppdrag från Vägverket undersökt hur väl implementeringen av det nya intranätet, Infarten, har genomförts och mottagits av berörd personal på lokalkontoret i Karlstad.Infartens övergripande mål är att vara en del av chefernas och medarbetarnas dagliga arbete samt fungera som ett verktyg för att söka information. Intranätet ska sprida aktuella nyheter, som alla inom organisationen ska kunna ta del av. Anledningen till att Vägverket valde att vidareutveckla Infarten, från regionala intranät till ett intranät för samtliga regioner, var att de upplevde svårigheter och problem med en icke fungerande uppföljning och dubbellagring av information.För att ta reda på hur väl Infarten fungerar i det dagliga arbetet i verksamheten genomförde vi en kvalitativ undersökning bland medarbetarna på lokalkontoret i Karlstad. I de intervjuer vi gjorde, studerade vi medarbetarnas användning av Infarten i sina dagliga arbeten och även deras egna uppfattningar om Infartens uppbyggnad.Resultatet visade att medarbetarna hade användning av Infarten, de uppgav att de inte skulle vilja vara utan Infarten. Vi såg ett mönster som visade att respondenterna endast använde sig av vissa delar av Infarten, de delar de behövde för att klara av sina arbetsuppgifter.
