Detta arbete är inriktat på hur man inom polisen skulle kunna förebygga och lösa vissa akutsjukvårdssituationer på ett bättre sätt med hjälp av syrgas och defibrillator. Det har redan beaktats av både räddningstjänst och polis i olika län. Räddningstjänsten i Umeå har många års erfarenhet av syrgasbehandling, och detta arbete har lett till att bl.a. samarbetet mellan räddningstjänsten och ambulanssjukvården har blivit mycket bättre. Dessutom finns möjligheten att räddningstjänsten i glesbygden förebygger skador under den tiden det tar för ambulansen att komma fram.

Environmental issues are global problems and they are a major challenge for any successful organizational business worldwide. Many challenges and opportunities emerge during the certification process of an EMS. Therefore it is interesting to contribute in understanding these emerging problems during this process.The aim of this study is to explore how the environmental objectives could be achieved at preschools in Uppsala, investigate the perceived challenges and opportunities and to identify the outcome of implementing the ISO 14001, Green Flag at such set up.A qualitative method is used and three Green Flag certified preschools, affiliated to the Uppsala Municipality and located at different geographical location were selected. A structured interview with the environmental representatives from the preschools and the municipality was completed. The so-called PDCA-cycle as a method of evaluating sustainable development and analysing the imperial data is used.The study showed that environmental certification constitutes a great challenge for the municipality of Uppsala.

The aim of this paper is to investigate who the visitors are at a children's department at amain library in a larger municipality, and for what purpose they use it. We discuss: Is therea difference between various user groups, and if so, how do they differ'? Which library rolesdoes the children's department have? Does the children's department serve as a local libraryfor those who live in the immediate surroundings or as a main library for the whole municipality?The paper is based on a user survey performed in the spring of 1996 at the City Library ofGothenburg. 417 visitors and five staff members were interviewed.The children's department is used by various groups of people, from young children to seniorcitizens. The library roles are, among other things, an independent learning center and formaleducation support center.

This paper aims to find out what lex Sarah is and how the process looks like when it comes to the investigation, from reporting to registration to the IVO, the inspection of health and social care. Who investigates, the objective of the lex Sarah and how many cases of reports that comes to registration from the year between 2010-2014. Which legal consequences it can be for an employee who has been notified is investigated also. Previous research only deals with freedom of speech, criticism and the complaint goes to the asset, and because of that, this paper focuses on individual cases where employees ' perception of a lex Sarah-registration gives a psychosocial approach. The paper is limited to a municipality where statistics are retrieved and a comparison at a national level is performed.

In the constitution of Sweden everyone has the right of common access in the nature. Toprotect these rights, as well as the nature, in areas close to shores the environmental law ofSweden (miljöbalken) protects areas within 100 meters from the waterline. Due to amendmentin this law, Swedish municipalities have to present countryside development areas close toshores. Within these areas, which are to be displayed in the municipality?s comprehensiveplan, it will be possible to get exemptions from the protection if the planned measure willbenefit the development of the region.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young people at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and pride. The number of people who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. There has not been this high since World War II. The Swedish Migration Board calculated that about 7,000 of these people were unaccompanied children and came to Sweden in 2014.

AbstractThis is a thesis done in cooperation with the firm Somas and University of Karlstad. The project is an independent final examination part of the program in Innovation and DesignEngineering comprising 22.5 points, and performed by Mia Myrén Zreloff during spring term 2012. In parallel and collaboration, Fredrik Kjellin performs a similar job for the same company and with the same extent, but for the Program in Mechanical Engineering.The client and supervisor at the company have been Magnus Jansson and Anders Josefsson. At Karlstad University has technical supervisor been Hans Johansson, and in the design- and development process it was Monica Jakobsson. Examiner has been Fredrik Thuvander, professor in the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University.The mission has been to make a basis work for the company's own development and make a computational model to calculate, visualize and implement materials and other solutions in the manufacture of the company's ball valves.The project has undergone three major phases that included thorough study of the company, production, the problem and product.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to evaluate bookmobile service as a decentralised library service. I have made a qualitative interview survey, with seven Swedish municipalities participating, all providing bookmobile service in their rural parts. The purpose with the interviews is to examine their bookmobile service. I have also studied articles on bookmobile service, and decentralisation through small library units in library journals, to get an insight into how the work with decentralised library service is done in Swedish municipalities. In this thesis answer is sought to the following questions: - Which decentralised library services are suitable for inhabitants and institutions in sparsely populated areas, considering factors such as number of inhabitants, proportion of old people and children, demographic changes, economy, possibilities to cooperate with other municipalities? - What is the current bookmobile service situation in Sweden, taking seven municipalities in the region of Småland as a starting point? My conclusions are that each municipality must decide which decentralised library services that best suites their needs.

Few issues raise such an engagement as parking areas, both by the municipality, property- and car owners. For car owners, it is of great importance where to park his car. Parking is not simply about availability but also about safety, security and how it affects the urban environment.When the land will be utilized for building development, there are regulations in Chapter 8, § 9 PBL how parking will be provided. Property owners have an obligation to provide parking space and it shall be arranged in an equitable manner, on the site or near it, which gives an opportunity for shared parking facilities. The guidelines for parking that the municipality has adopted should be the starting point for the extent of that space for parking is required when a building permit review.The first thing you should look at, is if the property owner has ability to provide parking space at his own property, but this is not always the best solution in areas such as inner cities.

Jag har undersökt vad som har hänt med de elever som gick ut Medieprogrammet i Karlstad 1997 och 2001. Jag har även tagit reda på vad som har hänt med de elever som gick i det studieförberedande specialutformade Samhällsprogrammet med medieinriktning (Sam Media), år 2001. Syftet med undersökningen är att försöka få reda på vad en utbildning på Medieprogrammet och Sam Media i Karlstad kan leda till samt vilka upplevelser eleverna har av gymnasietiden. Mina frågeställningar handlar om varför eleverna sökte programmen, hur eleverna upplevde gymnasietiden och vad som har hänt sedan. Anledningen till att jag väljer dessa frågeställningar och elever är för att jag vill att de ska ha ett lite längre perspektiv på sin egen utbildning och en längre erfarenhet av livet.

Ända sedan industrialismens början har det pågått en ständig inflyttning till städerna från landsbygden. Denna urbanisering har lett till bostadsbrist i de centrala delarna av många städer. För att möjliggöra fler bostäder på dessa platser har staden börjat byggas inåt - förtätas. Förtätning är en ?kompakt utbredning? av staden och innebär att redan bebyggda platser inom stadsgränsen exploateras ytterligare.

Alla drömmer om att komma bort från vardagen även om det bara är för några timmar. När en person betalar för en upplevelse vill denne ha tid att njuta av flera minnesvärda händelser som erbjuds av ett företag, och som berör personen på ett personligt sätt. Karlstad CCC är en tillflyktsplats där gäster kan få energi och drömma sig bort för en kväll, genom bland annat en minnesvärd föreställning. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva gästens upplevelse under en föreställning på Karlstad CCC. Denna upplevelse ska analyseras genom observationer, intervjuer, enkätundersökningar och experiment.

Denna uppsats är en kvalitativ studie om erkännande i ideellt arbete. Studien utgår från åtta intervjupersoners uppfattningar och upplevelser av sitt ideella arbete i den ideella föreningen Friskis&Svettis Karlstad, om de upplever att de får erkännande i sitt ideella uppdrag och i så fall på vilket sätt. Syftet med studien är att undersöka ideellt arbete inom ramen för Friskis&Svettis Karlstad, kopplat till erkännandets mellannivå, solidaritet. Tidigare forskning inom området är knapphändig och befinner sig till största del inom fältet för arbete, enligt normen om att arbete är lönearbete. Den forskning som finns visar på att erkännande på arbetsplatsen bidrar till välbefinnande och ökad motivation. Anledningar till varför människor väljer att engagera sig ideellt är bland annat en social aspekt, vilket lägger en grund till att erkännande är intressant att koppla ihop med ideellt arbete. Studiens intervjupersoner upplever att ideellt arbete är att betrakta som arbete, beroende på tidsåtgång, uppgifternas karaktär och hur professionellt de genomförs.

The aim of this essay has been to find out if children can identify themselves in childrens literature describing children who have immigrated. We wanted to investigate if the interest in reading books about children who have immigrated was the same whether the investigated childrens origin was Swedish or not. We chose two books for this purpose. We also wanted to see what the access to books about children who have immigrated was at three libraries. The locations for the libraries were; in the investigated children´s school, at the main library in the municipality and at a smaller library also located in the municipality.

SammanfattningTrots att Sveriges befolkning består i dag av c:a 10% invandrare. Är det fortfarande svårt för många av dem att komma in i det svenska samhället i dag. Problemet med diskriminering bland invandrare i Sverige gör att många av de riskerar att hamna utanför samhällets kretsar. Trots detta problem har ett fenomen visat att invandrare kan integreras till det svenska samhället. Det här fenomenet är fotboll en sport som har visat sig vara ett viktigt hjälpmedel för integration av unga invandrarkillar i Sverige, enligt en undersökning som gjordes av Jesper Fundberg åt riksidrottsförbundet (2003).
