This study evaluates the retention of nitrogen and phosphorus in four newly constructed wetlands in the municipality of Falkenberg, Sweden. The four wetlands have been selected because they have been specifically constructed with the aim to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus in farming areas. The process of selecting the specific wetlands has been done in collaboration with the county administration in Halland. Through field studies in collaboration with the landowners where the wetlands are sited, the areas that provide the wetlands with water were determined. The size of these drainage areas were determined in a GIS computer program. The type of land use within the drainage areas was also determined.

In this paper I study how the minority group Roma appears in the Swedish media. I also look at possible similarities and differences in appearance before and after the disclosure of the Roma registration by the Swedish police in September 2013. To answer my purpose with the paper I treat the following questions:How is the minority group Roma constructed in the media before and after the disclosure?In which ways are the minority group Roma expressed in the media before and after the disclosure?I am using a discourse analytic method based on theories of construction between ?them? and ?we? and the media?s impact on social constructions and identities. By analysing twenty-eight articles from a period of one month before and one month after the disclosure the result shows that there are more similarities than differences between how the Roma are described in the Swedish media.

Rapporten beskriver en undersökning om de olika renoveringsåtgärder som typiskt behöver utföras för bostadshus byggda under miljonprogrammet. Studien utgår från ett flerbostadshus som byggdes under 1968-1969 och som ligger i Norrliden i kvarteret Graniten, Kalmar. Undersökningen fokuserar på energianvändning, energieffektivisering, tillgänglighet och kommunikation med hyresgäster under renoveringen. Dessa ämnen behandlas utifrån två perspektiv; dels genom beskrivning av det pågående projektet i bostadshusen i Graniten och dels genom teorier beskrivna i litteraturen. .

This essay takes the three models from Allison and Zelikow book Essence of decision and applies them on the Swedish defense system. After the cold war the Swedish defense system had to undergo changes to be a more modern defense and be able to defend Sweden against threats. To also be able to cooperate with other countries in peacekeeping operations the Swedish defense had to be reorganized. The solution was to change direction from a defense system that was organized for invasion to instead be a movable defense ready for any challenge in Sweden or abroad. This reorganization will be analyzed according to the three different models..

The European Water Framework Directive (WFD; 2000/60/EC) was incorporated into the Swedish legislation in 2004 through the ordinance Förordningen om förvaltningenav kvaliteten på vattenmiljön (SFS 2004:660). The objective is that all water bodies shall reach a good status by the year 2015. In Sweden the comprehensive plans of the municipalities can play a large role in reaching these goals. A comprehensive plan deals with the long term water and land use of the municipality, which can facilitate an early consideration of water management in the planning process of the municipality. In Sweden five river basin districts have been established in accordance with the Water Framework Directive.

Projektet som ligger till grund för denna rapport handlar om, att skapa enstudentportal till SHiK (Studentkåren Högskolan i Kalmar). SHiK hade en webbplatsinnan detta projektet startade men var i behov av en ny med fler funktioner somstudenterna kunde ta del av. Några av dessa funktioner var bostad- och litteraturannonsering,ett länkarkiv, ett forum och möjligheten för att visa RSS- och Twitterflöden.Detta projekt är genomfört genom att använda ett välutvecklat CMS (ContentManagement System) vid namn ?Joomla?, vilket i sin tur är byggd i PHP ochjavascript, och som databashanterare så används MySQL.Resultatet blev en webbplats med komplett funktionalitet enligt kraven..

Många fastigheter i centrala Jönköping har idag oinredda råvindar med potential att byggas om till mindre lägenheter. En ofta förekommande problematik vid förändring av en råvind är de avsteg från exempelvis tillgänglighetskravet, bevarandekravet eller detaljplanen som kan behöva göras. Läderlappen 9 och Kalmar 1 är två fastigheter på Torpa i centrala Jönköping som under tidigt 2000-tal ansökte om bygglov för respektive råvind. Båda bygglovsansökningarna presenterade ombyggnadsförslag av mindre lägenheter där kraven inte uppnåtts. Den ena ansökan godkändes medan den andra avslogs. Bygglovsbesluten har analyserats med syftet att belysa för- respektive nackdelar vid undantag från krav eller detaljplanen.

Användningen av avloppsslam från kommunala avloppsreningsverk som ett alternativt gödningsmedel ökar i det svenska jordbruket. Ett problem med slam som gödningsmedel är dock att de metaller och oönskade ämnen som finns i avloppsvattnet också tillförs åkermarken via slammet, och slutligen, genom ackumulering i mark och grödor, kan ge effekter på miljön och människors hälsa. För att möjliggöra användning av avloppsslam som växtnäring finns certifieringssystemet REVAQ. Målet med REVAQ är att genom systematiskt uppströmsarbete vid reningsverken förbättra slammet. Detta, genom att minska metaller och oönskade ämnen i inkommande avloppsvatten till den nivå där halterna i slammet inte påverkar markorganismer och gröda, negativt.Kalmar Vatten AB är certifierat enligt REVAQ och samtliga metallhalter i deras avloppsslam, avsett för slam som växtnäring, har en godkänd halt.

This dissertation is done as a preparatory step for the action plan of environmental protection shall issue to preserve the Phytoecia nigricornis in the country when it is red-listed and classified as vulnerable (VU). My task was to investigate the prevalence of the Phytoecia nigricornis in Halland County. They wanted to see if it existed in Halland (Ehnström, 1999). If it did not exist they wanted to know how to improve its habitat.the Phytoecia nigricornis is difficult to inventory because when it is larvae it lives in the roots and lower parts of the trunk of the Solidago Virgaurea plant and the adult beetles only keeps to Solidago Virgaurea by mating and egg laying and larval caterpillars when they hatch (Bily, 1989; Molander, 1999). Often it is overlooked or missed, and one question was whether it existed  in the whole country or only in those parts where it was previously found in, Skåne, Blekinge and Östergötland (Ehnström, 1999).One problem for the Phytoecia nigricornis is that their habitats is declining.

The aim of this research was to gain a comprehensive understanding of how daily activities impact the organizational culture within the Swedish Police enforcement agency, Polismyndigheten. The study specifically explored the influence of the purported culture of silence on organizational culture. Employing a case study approach, data were collected with a qualitative method from a total of 15 individuals, including students and officials affiliated with Polismyndigheten. The findings were categorized into five distinct groups, revealing a noticeable gap between employees and management. Additionally, the study identified generational disparities and a lack of a clear set of core values.

Ungdomar är den mest brottsutsatta gruppen i samhället och många av de brott som begås av ungdomar kommer aldrig till polisens vetskap. Det finns en kunskapslucka när det gäller anledningar att vittna och anmäla brott. Detta för att få en tydligare bild av ungdomars synpunkter på att anmäla brott och syftet i denna studie var därför ungdomar benägenhet/attityd till att vittna och anmäla brott. Studien gjordes i form av en kvalitativ intervjustudie, där 15 gymnasie elever i åldrarna 16-18 år varav nio manliga och sex kvinnliga från två olika skolor deltog. Resultatet visar att erfarenheter, förtroendet för rättsväsendet och rädsla är bidragande faktorer i beslut om man ska kontakta eller samarbeta med polisen.

In this essay I examine the causal relationship between confidence in institutions and growth in Sweden 1989-2002. By examining the causal relationship between these two variables, valuable indicators of the causal relationship between trust and growth can be obtained. The institutions which are used in this essay are chosen according to the theory on institutions for public administration building trust and social capital. The chosen institutions are primary schooling, the police and medical service. A Granger causality model is used to measure the causal relation and the results from the tests show that there is no causal relationship between growth and confidence in institutions.

The purpose of this study was to develop recommendations for using more efficient lighting and better graphic design to create a more uniform structure in the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? in Jönköping County Museum by answering the following questions at issue:1) How are the objects in the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? exposed today?2) How can you use lighting and graphic design to create structure in the exhibition and strengthen the expression in the exhibition?Our work is based on observations and open group interviews. We observed the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? during day and evening. In the same hall, we observed a guided tour that we followed up with open group interviews.

Arbetet handlar om hur man med olika samarbetsövningar kan stärka sammanhållningen i en ungdomsgrupp.I arbetet kan man läsa om olika sammarbetsövningar och hur man går till väga för att utföra dessa.Metoderna som vi använt oss av är observationer, enkäter och övningar. Vi har utfört undersökningen på varsin skola, en högstadieklass i Stockholms län och en gymnasieklass i Kalmar län. I vårt resultat har vi kommit fram till att det skett en liten förändring i klasserna vi tycker att samarbetet dem emellan blivit bättre. Vi anser att vi kan ha lagt grunden till en bra sammanhållning i klasserna..

Detta examensarbete i landskapsarkitektur behandlar gågator i Sverige, med avsikten att undersöka och reflektera kring vad som är en lyckad gågata. Målet med examensarbetet är att dra och beskriva generella slutsatser om hur man planerar och gestaltar lyckade gågator. Litteraturstudier har legat till grund för en ökad bakgrundsinformation om gågator och stadens andra offentliga rum. Genom studier och undersökningar formulerades fem olika kriterier som ansågs av vikt för huruvida gågator har goda förutsättningar att vara lyckade och använda av såväl boende som besökare. De fem olika kriterierna är: Stadsstruktur, Tillgänglighet, Byggnader och verksamheter, Material och möbler samt Socialt liv.
