BackgroundType 1 diabetes is a chronically disease that often occurs in early life. In every year around 77.000 children in the world is estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a child gets a chronically disease it affects the whole family, specially the parents who will be the child's caregiver.AimThe aim of this study was to describe parents experiences of living with a child with type 1 diabetes.MethodA literature review was carried trough based on 10 qualitative scientific articles. The articles were analyzed and two main themes and seven subthemes emerged.ResultsAll parents experienced that they needed some kind of support particularly early in their illness. They felt it was a big responsibility to take care of their child with diabetes and parents often felt anxiety and fear associated with the disease.

Objective: To study the evidence on physical activity (PA) as an effective preventive strategy for depression.Methods: A search of electronic databases was performed for articles between 2007 and 2012, both original research and review articles, concerning the link between PA and depression on children, youth and adults. Three reviews, five longitudinal and two cross sectional studies were included.Results:  PA reduced the likelihood of depression in many studies and a sedentary or inactive lifestyle increased the risks for mental health symptoms such as depression. One study showed that low PA in childhood increased the odds of depression as an adult and other studies on teenagers saw a connection and mediation between PA and self-esteem whereas physical fitness showed no mediating effect. Many of the studies and reviews point out the insecurity regarding the dose-response association and the difficulties in defining causality.Conclusion: PA might have a preventive effect on depression. Some evidence exist to support that PA in childhood prevents depression in adults.

Detta görs genom en diskussion av följande frågor: -Varför och på vilka grunder har USA fattat beslutet om att inte tillerkänna Guantanamo-fångarna krigsfångestatus? -Vad har fångarna för möjlighet att få sin status prövad? -Kan den uppkomna situationen ha någon inverkan på framtida internationell rätt? -Kan den uppkomna situationen påverka hur eventuellt tillfångatagna amerikaner i en framtida internationell väpnad konflikt blir behandlade? Svaren på dessa frågor har sökts genom litteraturstudier och inhämtande av information från internet. Faktablad och pressbriefings från Vita Huset och Försvarsdepartementet i USA har legat till grund för min analys av USA och Bush-administrationens argument. Dessa källor har kompletterats med kommenterande material författat av forskare från olika juridiska högskolor och universitet i USA. Uppsatsen visar att USA skiljer på fångar som är Talibanska soldater, samt fångar som är medlemmar i al-Qaeda.

The aim of this study was to determine which type of fluid to use in trauma care to improve patient survival. The method used was a systematic review, where a total of 18 studies were reviewed and 13 included in the results. The inclusion criteria used in this study were Randomized controlled trial, or studies relevant for the purpose, written in English and published during the last ten years. The studies were identified in the PubMed data base. The results showed that in trauma with hypovolaemia, colloid infusion has a better effect than infusion of crystalloid fluid on blood pressure and colloid infusion reduced the body's cascade systems in a beneficial way. Colloid infusion administered to head injury patients lowered their intracranial pressure more than crystalloid infusion.

Kirurgin påverkar även människors fysiska, psykiska och sociala liv. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur patienter upplever sin livssituation efter Bariatrisk kirurgi. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie och baserades på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar.

In the 10th of April 2010 the Polish Presidential plane crashed outside of Smolensk in today?s Russia. 88 passengers and 6 crewmen died a tragic death, among them the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczy?ski. A national week of sorrow was proclaimed and citizens all over Poland went out on streets and markets to honor the newly deceased President.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva de icke-farmakologiska åtgärder som kan göra att incidensen av postoperativt illamående och kräkningar minskar. Studien baseras på tio vetenskapliga artiklar som har noggrant valts ut och kvalitetsgranskats. Resultaten visar att de icke-farmakologiska åtgärder som sjuksköterskan kan utföra och som visar sig hjälpa mot postoperativt illamående och/eller kräkningar är baserade på den österländska läran om människan. Med stimuleringar av vissa bestämda punkter på kroppen kan incidensen av postoperativt illamående och kräkningar minskas. Det finns flera sätt på vilka de stimuleringarna kan göras, samt olika punkter som kan stimuleras.

Background: There are many people waiting for a kidney transplant. To get a kidney from a living donor has many advantages. The gift is about giving and receiving. The decision is characterized by life-philosophy of the donor.Aim: To highlight the experiences of the kidney donation process.Methods: A systematic literature review in which 11 articles were included, seven qualitative and four quantitative. The articles are quality and ethically reviewed, the results are analyzed according Granskär & Höglund and Polit & Beck.Results: The results were gathered under two themes: the decision-process shows the path from idea to decision and implementation-process treats the donation and confirmation of the gift.

Purpose: From an activity-perspective examine the meaning of housing accessibility and older persons´ perception of participation. Method: Systematic literature review of articles searched in the databases, Medline, Pubmed, Ahmed, Cinahl, Scopus and Google Scholar. Search on individual keywords, and in various combinations of the words home environment, home modification, occupational therapy, aging, accessibility and participation. Nine scientific articles were examined. Results: The articles were published between 2005 and 2009.
