Den här uppsatsen började som något helt annat. En studie över vad egentligen sekter är. Ju längre undersökningarna fortskred desto mer likhetstecken började jag se med ett något helt annat. Jag har varit försäljare i Tupperware i 5 år och det var i detta företag jag hittade likheterna med sekterna jag läste om. Kan det verkligen vara så att Tupperware är en sekt? Det är det vi ska ta reda på med hjälp av olika forskare och deras teorier..

The competition for people´s attention becomes harder and harder. If the libraries want to continue to attract visitors it´s important that their business is promoted. The purpose of this thesis is to in-vestigate how two public libraries work with marketing. The study is based on a marketing model, introduced by Philip Kotler and further developed by Eileen Elliott de Sáez. Kotler believes that marketing is a social process and that everything can be promoted.

I den här uppsatsen behandlas det könsneutrala pronomenet hen, som har debatterats livligt under 2012. Tidigare studier har visat att ordet främst är etablerat i hbtq- och feministkretsar och att det framför allt fyller en funktion i att problematisera kön. Uppsatsens syfte är att närmare beskriva betydelser och funktioner för ordet hen samt att undersöka huruvida ordet i dag förekommer i kontexter som inte är direkt knutna till feministisk eller hbtq-relaterad verksamhet.Uppsatsens teoridel behandlar feministisk språkteori och språkvårdsteori, främst enligt Cameron (1992) och Pauwels (1998; 2003). Här redogörs också för bakgrunden till ordet hen samt några av de queerteoretiska och skrivtekniska motiv som har anförts för att införa ett könsneutralt pronomen.I studien analyseras användningen av hen i 100 bloggtexter och 100 tidnings­texter, dvs. 200 belägg, från hösten 2012 utifrån morfosyntaktiska, funktionella och kontextuella perspek­tiv.

 The 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections were in many ways special, where the USA got its first president of Afro-American origin, Barack Obama. The elections will also be historical since the great use of social medias - as the community Facebook, the video sharing site YouTube and web based diaries, blogs - broke through during the campaigns. This study's purpose was to examine how a few members of the Swedish parliament described the result of the Presidential Elections in their blogs. The main question - how the election results were described in the blogs - was divided into three themes, created on the basis of the blog's content.

The states, built on contract theories, have an obligation to protect its citizens from the state of nature which seems to have failed as globalization has changed the rules.The purpose of this dissertation is to examine the contract theories of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and John Rawls to identify the elements of a state and create a modern and ideal contract theory. The treaty shall then be used on the Treaty of Lisbon as it can be seen as a contract between the European states to create an entity in the shape of the European Union with the power to defend Europe from the unrest created by globalization.My question for this was as follows:Is the new treaty for the European Union acceptable as a new social contract according to the social contract theories?During my research the following criteria?s for a social contract was found:1.

Three main questions give the fundamental structure for this master thesis: 1) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the following theologians respectively; David P. Den amerikanske luftmaktsteoretikern John A Warden III har skrivit ett flertal artiklar och böcker om vad han anser är det bästa sättet att använda luftmakt. Warden förordar luftmaktens offensiva natur och eftersträvar ett snabbt, för egen del, fördelaktigt slut på en konflikt. Warden har bl.a. liknat fienden vid ett system, där han menar att strävan skall ligga i att slå ut fiendens ledarskikt vilket får tillföljd att dess vilja till strid upphör.I detta arbete ges en sammanfattning av, enligt författaren, centrala delar av Wardens teorier. ?Liberal Democracy? is a common term in political theory, and it is used as if it had a commonly accepted referent, with both normative and descriptive content. This is certainly the case in democratic theory, where it on the one hand seems to refer to a normative democratic model; on the other hand it is used descriptively, to refer to real-life democracies. The deliberative democratic sub-field is not an exception; on the contrary, the term is frequently used albeit rarely defined; yet the concept it refers to is supposedly developed enough to allow detailed propositions about its citizens?s political behaviour.This essay is an attempt to analyze how Liberal Democracy is used by three deliberative democrats (Jürgen Habermas, John Dryzek and Stephen Elstub), in order to understand the democratic model (or models), whether normative or descriptive, they refer to.

Jag har också behandlat begrepp och verktyg som Sociala Media, Facebook, Twitter och IT i språkundervisning. Jag använde mig av intervjuer med aktiva lärare för att samla material till min analys och sammanställde materialet i diskussion och slutsats..

The report aims to examine how property owners position themselves to reach their targetmarket, and which strategies they use when positioning their product. The investigation has beencarried out mainly in the form of a case study in which a number of interviews with Stockholmreal estate companies has been conducted, focusing on commercial property market segment.The interviews have resulted in identification of common and specific strategies among thecompanies. These strategies have been analyzed in the light of the theory by Philip Kotler andKevin Lane Keller, focusing on how an offer should be designed to reach a competitive position.It can be concluded that positioning is a key activity for successfully addressing the targetmarket. Successful positioning mandates three key requirements to be met; determining thecategory to which the offer belongs, identifying similarities and differences compared to thecompetitors and developing a brand mantra. The result of the case study concludes that theproperty companies work similar in many ways.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine how librarians in two Swedish public libraries view the subject of face-front marketing and literary hierarchy. The questions posed in this thesis are: How do two public libraries in Sweden market fictional literature? Which literature does get marketed? How do the librarians view fictional literature? How do the librarians view marketing? and Does Herbert Gans? literary scale work to examine the marketing of fictional literature in two Swedish public libraries? The theoretical starting-points are Niels Ole Pors? thoughts on stock development, Philip Kotler?s thoughts on the responsible non-profit organisation and Herbert Gans? thoughts on taste-publics and taste-cultures. The empirical material was gathered through qualitative interviews with library staff in two public libraries in the south of Sweden, and by reading a sample of the fictional literature exposed in these libraries.

Bakgrund; Vård i livets slutskede sker under senare år i stor utsträckning i patientens hem. Avancerad sjukvård kan idag ges i form av både hemsjukvård och sjukhusvård. Fördelar med att få vård i det egna hemmet är att hemmiljön ger trygghetskänsla. Där finns nära och kära, även möjligheten att få vara i lugn och ro är också större i hemmiljön. Nackdelar med hemsjukvården kan vara oro och rädsla för exempelvis smärta, många patienter tror att fullständig hjälp endast finns på sjukhus.

This thesis addresses the driving forces behind the Swedish state?s procurement of Helicopters 14 and 16 and the decommissioning of Helicopter 4. These actions have significantly affected the Swedish Armed Forces, especially the Helicopter Wing, in carrying out their operational tasks. On numerous occasions the Helicopter Wing has been unable to perform its tasks. For instance, the Nordic Battle Group 08 had no helicopters to exercise with and, until recently, Sweden had completely lacked the ability to hunt submarines with helicopters for almost ten years.This thesis also aims to compare the decisions in 1999-2000 regarding Helicopter 14 with the decisions in 2010-2011 regarding the acquisition of Helicopter 16, to find if there is a general trend and how much the Armed Forces were able to influence decisions.
