The SAB-system (Klassifikationssystem för svenska bibliotek) was created almost a hundred years ago and has often been viewed as insufficient among many academic libraries. KB (Kungliga Biblioteket) has therefore decided to change to DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) which means that the Swedish libraries are now facing a challenge that involves a change to a new classification system. This is a comparable situation that occured when the SAB-system was created. The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the Swedish library sector´s approach to a new classification system, first to the SAB-system and then to DDC.

Denna kandidatuppsats undersöker hur ett användande av språk och bilder i massmedial nyhetsrapportering kan påverka sociala dominansrelationer och ojämna maktrelationer i samhället. Som exempel undersöker uppsatsen hur svensk dagsmedia presenterade och representerade oroligheterna i Husby sommaren 2013. Undersökningen bygger på kritisk diskursanalys där Norman Fairclough och John B. Thompsons ansatser utgör de teoretiska utgångspunkterna. Uppsatsen kommer fram till, att på det sätt som bilder och språk användes, utifrån Fairclough och Thompsons teoretiska ansatser kan påverka sociala dominansrelationer och ojämna maktrelationer i samhället.

Denna uppsats handlar om förekomsten av Antisemitism i den svenska s.k. Vit makt-musiken. Uppsatsens syfte är att kartlägga förekomsten av antisemitism i tre vit makt- band: Pluton Svea, Storm och Dirlewanger. Analysen sker genom att texterna till två album av varje band studeras. Metoden är både kvalitativ som kvantitativ och bland annat så undersöks olika typer av antisemitiska uttalanden som därefter nivåsätts enligt en, av författaren, modifierad skala konstruerad av forskaren John C.G.

The purpose of this study is to determine which approach preschool teachers from a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool and a traditional preschool have on children, knowledge, learning and their own role in children?s learning. The two pedagogical approaches have different basic visions; Reggio Emilia follows the thoughts of Lori Malaguzzi and the traditional preschool follows the Swedish curriculum Lpfö 98. The main research questions asked were:What view on children, learning and knowledge does the preschool teacher from a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool have in comparison with a traditional preschool?Which role does the teacher believe that they should take regarding children?s learning?What differences and similarities can be identified in the teachers' perceptions?To carry out this study, I used a qualitative research method.

When Vladimir Putin in the year 2000 came to power in Russia many believed that the Russian civil society were weak and had very little influence and with Putin people say that the situation have deteriorated. The purpose of this paper is to establish what kind of relationship exists between the Russian state and the civil society and to analyze this from a top-down perspective. We are looking at Russia during Putins first term in office from the year 2000 until 2004. In order to establish the relationship we have used John S. Dryzeks theory of inclusive and exclusive state and whether it?s active or passive in this process.

The Russian-Georgian war of 2008 drastically changed Europe´s and Sweden´s political climate.Russiashowed that it is capable of successfully completing complex campaigns including ground, naval and air assets. However, not much has been said about the theoretical framework and doctrine of the Russian military of today. Even less has been researched about Russian use of air power and applied air theory. Are air power assets still considered primarily as support of ground offensives or has the theoretical framework changed?John A.

Vår erfarenhet är att skolan i Sverige har en tendens att sortera ut elever när problem uppstår, snarare än att titta på hur undervisningen organiseras och hur resurser fördelas. Skolan behöver ta ett helhetsgrepp på organisation, resurs och miljö så det kan bli en skola för alla. Syftet med vårt arbete är att öka kunskapen om och söka möjligheter för inkludering i grundskolan av elever med utvecklingsstörning, genom att undersöka hur pedagogers syn på detta är i deras arbete och hur de arbetar med elever som läser efter grundsärskolans mål i grundskolan. När det förs diskussioner kring En skola för alla ute på våra skolor kan man se en tendens att både lärare och rektorer är obekanta med många av de statliga styrdokumenten som reglerar rätten till undervisningen.Vår teoretiska grund vilar på Dewey, Goffman, Hattie, Skrtic och Vygotskij. Med stöd av deras teorier har vi undersökt hur elever, utvecklas genom undervisning i sociala sammanhang. Vår undersökning innehåller en kvalitativ metod i form av en webbenkät. Respondenterna är pedagoger som arbetar med elever som läser efter grundsärskolans mål och är inkluderade eller delvis integrerade i grundskolan.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.

Syftet med studien är att få en fördjupad kunskap i hur specialpedagoger ser på sin roll som kvalificerade samtalspartners i pedagogisk kollegial handledning.Studien tar sin utgångspunkt i ett kommunikations- och sociokulturellt perspektiv. Vi har valt Dewey som teoretisk utgångspunkt då hans teorier kring lärande och interaktion har relevans till vårt problemområde. Vi väljer också att luta oss mot Hatties forskning där han fokuserar på synligt lärande och kollegial utveckling.Studien vilar på en hermeneutisk forskningsansats och är genomförd som en kvalitativ studie med semistrukturerade intervjuer av sex yrkesverksamma specialpedagoger i olika kommuner och skolstadier.Studien ger en samstämmig bild av den kollegiala pedagogiska handledningens möjligheter till utveckling och lärande. Den pekar också på att pedagogisk kollegial handledning kan vara ett kompetenshöjande verktyg att använda sig av i den vardagliga praktiken i det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet. Det fanns en enighet om vikten av struktur och en kvalificerad samtalspartner som ledare.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete har varit att få en kunskap och en förståelse för hur populärkultur, med fokus på skönlitteratur, införlivas i religionskunskapsundervisningen för grundskolans senare år. Fokus låg på lärarnas arbete med skönlitteratur utifrån de tre didaktiska frågorna, vad, hur och varför. Litteraturstudier har visat att det finns många förtjänster med att föra in skönlitteratur i undervisningen samt att det kan finnas en viss problematik kring det. Vi använde oss av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod som bestod av semi- strukturerade intervjuer. Informantgruppen bestod av nio stycken lärare i de samhällsorienterade ämnena i grundskolans senare år. Urvalsgruppen var representerad från fem olika skolor i södra Sverige. Resultatet visade att majoriteten av lärarna ansåg att skönlitteratur lämpar sig i de flesta arbetsområden inom religionskunskap med en betoning på världsreligionerna.

Enterprise learning is a pedagogic concept that implies that the students, in correlation with development of theoretical, subject specific knowledge, also develops enterprise competences that will be useful in their everyday life and on the labour market. Enterprise learning has grown over the last ten years, as well in school practicing as within research. In the mathematics subject, a strong educational tradition has delayed the introduction of enterprise learning. At the examined school, enterprise mathematics has been introduced during the spring term of 2010. This examination focuses on which of the enterprise competences that are developed and how they are developed.

This essay presents an examination of some aspects of an anonymous Italian fifteenth centurypainting, the Madonna in Adoration of the Christ Child with the Young John the Baptist, in theGothenborg Art Museum. My first aim is to understand its symbolic and religious content, and theother is to make an attempt at an attribution, or at least put the work in a likely environment,temporally and geographically. To the first end I analyse the image using Panofsky?s three stagemethod, and then make an iterpretation using the ?period eye? concept of Baxandall, especially froma religious viewpoit. Secondly, I try to define the style of the work mainly by analysing selectedparameters from a large number of fifteenth century Italian pictures found in the photo archive ofthe Federico Zeri Foundation website on the internet.

Jag har genomfört en textanalys med syftet att studera utveckling och förändring av värdegrund och läroplan i två dokument: Lord Baden-Powells bok Scouting for boys (1908) och ?Bit för bit. Boken om scoutmetoden? (2005) utgiven av Svenska Scoutrådet. Som vetenskaplig litteratur har jag använt mig av läroplansanalys, värdegrundsteori och utdrag ur John Deweys pragmatism.

The aim of my study is to examine how six teachers discuss their choices of work methods in teaching mathematics, as well as the methods they are currently using and what they have based their choices on. This study also covers how these teachers approach educational planning and where they get inspiration for their teaching material, and finally the advantages and disadvantages of each method according to the teachers. To be able to fulfill my purpose of this study some questions had to be considered: How do these teachers approach the planning of studies of mathematics and where do they find ideas for their lesson planning? Which methods do these teachers use in the teaching of mathematics and what are the reasons behind their choices of methods? Which advantages and disadvantages do these teachers see in the methods they use during the teaching of mathematics? This is a qualitative study, mainly based on qualitative research interviews according to an interview guide. Six teachers, from five different elementary schools, grade 1- 3, have been interviewed for this study.

The purpose of this paper was that through discourse analysis look at how gender and the equality debate is created between two head debaters and commenter's on a forum. We have used Norbert Elias and John L. Scotson´s (1999) theory about Established and Outsiders to see power struggles between groups in the debate. With Jonathan Potters analysis tools in his book Representing Reality (1996) we were able to analyze the debate texts. Using discourse psychology, we were able to see how people use tactical discourse in their texts to represent themselves and the world in different ways.
