Women ledaers and profitability, is there a correlation? Earlier research show different outcome on the correlation between women leaders and profitability. A Swedish consultant firm, Caran has a belief that more women leaders would create more financial profit, we ask us if that is the true situation. Using two different IC measurement methods we have shown the difficulties in calculate intagible resources, which methods that can/ can not be used and if women leders create financial value. We found the women leaders in Caran to add more value per dollar spent on the woman leaders than the value added per dollar spent on men leaders.

The Internet protocol of today has been used for over 20 years. A new version of the protocol has been developed to replace the old one. The overall aim of this study is to investigate how social workers who are dealing with financial assistance are experiencing discretion in their daily work. The aim of the study is also to examine how social workers who are dealing with financial assistance relates to the controlling and the supporting functions of their daily work and how this in turn affects the attitude to the client. In order to examine the aim of the study, qualitative method was used. Eight social workers have been interviewed and presented with two fictitious cases that they have been able to discuss. Theories regarding the street-level bureaucrat and its discretion have been used to interpret and understand the collected material.

In Shop! Daniel Svensson is studying the Public Consume Conversation during the 90´s. Focus is based on two local papers in the Swedish town Norrköping and the Public Media Conversation, which these two represent. What kind of discourses has been dominating this conversation, that is the most important question in Shop! To answer this, Daniel Svensson uses the Critical Discourse Analysis, by Norman Fairclough, as an analytic tool. This method provides him with the possibility to connect the micro level of text with the macro level of the society. But this demands theories of the contemporary society at a macro level.

SammanfattningDenna studie syftar till att undersöka hur personalomsättningen av socialsekreterare ser utinom socialtjänsten i Västerbottens inland. Studien är en fallstudie av ett socialkontor i englesbygdskommun i Västerbotten. Studiens resultat visar att personalomsättningen avsocialsekreterare inom socialtjänsten i den glesbygdskommun i Västerbotten som vi undersöktär hög. Universitetsorter utbildar många socionomer och konkurrensen om jobb är stor i dessastäder. Nyutexaminerade söker till glesbygden där konkurrensen inte är lika stor.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the democratic views in the two latest party platforms, belonging to the two Swedish political parties Vänsterpartiet and Sverigedemokraterna. This by applying Robert A. Dahl's democracy model, Polyarchy, and Carol Pateman's democratic Participatory model, on to the party platforms. By doing so, my hopes were to determine if the two political parties can classify themselves as democratic parties. The result shows that both Vänsterpartiet and Sverigedemokraterna meet the majority of the democratic demands created by Robert A.

Därefter skapades två 3D-miljöer modifierade av utopiska och dystopiska attribut baserade på en verklig förlaga, stadsdelen Shibuya i Tokyo. Slutligen undersöktes hur dessa modifierade miljöer uppfattas av en grupp människor, satt i förhållande till den verkliga förlagans utseende, genom en kvantitativ enkätstudie..

The aim of this study was to investigate how maternity and child care was carried out at Regional Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania as well as how it was perceived by mothers and children. The study was conducted with a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the staff knew what they were doing and how they should treat their patients and that they helped them without thinking about preventive measures. The study concluded that people wanted to seek the care provided at the hospital and some people stated that they had confidence in the staff. The people that came to the hospital sought care for various diseases and conditions and they all got medical attention of some sort.

One must consider cost effectiveness when deciding how resources within the health sector should be distributed. Quality adjusted life years (QALYs) are used to measure the value of different medical treatments. QALY is based on utility maximization theory, which suggests that a QALY is always a QALY regardless of who receives it. Therefore, a produced QALY is worth the same regardless of the age or the initial health of the patient. Previous research has shown that these assumptions do not seem to fit the real preferences of individuals.

Syftet med denna rapport var att ta reda på vad ungdomar i Umeå har för uppfattning om polisen och hur ungdomar påverkar varandra. Teorikapitlet handlar om emotioner, föreställningar och attityder samt vad dessa grundrar sig på och fyller för funktioner hos individen.En enkätundersökning gjordes på Östra gymnasiet i Umeå och sammanlagt 50 elever mellan 16-19 år besvarade den. Figurer och medelvärden har gjorts för att få en klar bild av resultatet. Resultatet visade att det finns ungdomar som har fått en försämrad bild och uppfattning av polisen i Umeå. Utöver den grupp som svarade att deras uppfattning försämrats fanns en ungefär lika stor grupp som svarade det motsatta.

What are the competencies and qualifications required by employers concerning the first line executives in medical care? In this paper we aim to scrutinise this question by analysing the significance of terms reproduced by employers in advertisements between 1971 and 2007.Our survey concerns 93 advertisements and two interviews with knowledgeable authorities on personnel administration in the county council of Jönköping municipality, Sweden. Using a theoretical framework developed by Ellström our results point out how the demands of the employer have changed starting in the 1970?s. We set fore, as a way of conclusion, the setting of competency and qualifications required by the employer have not only increased but appears much more comprehensive and far more complex than ever before..

This over-consumption causes a mass production of products, which mean that more greenhouse gases are being emitted to the atmosphere. Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att ta reda på lärarstudenters syn på ämnet svenska som andraspråk eller närmare vilka faktorer som påverkade beslutet i val av ämne samt vilka orsaker var de främsta att lärarstudenter valde/inte valde att utbilda sig i svenska som andraspråk.För att få svar på mina frågeställningar har en kvalitativ enkätsundersökning använts där öppna frågor ställdes till lärarstudenter.Undersökningsresultat visar att faktorer som påverkade lärarstudenters val av ämne var intresset för ämnet, barnens ålder, flexibelt jobb, eget modersmål och intagningskravet var de mest nämnda. Resultatet visar vidare att intresset för att bli lärare i svenska som andraspråk var stort dock var lärarstudenter bara beredda på att läsa högst en termin för att bli detta. Lärarstudenter tyckte även att ämnet är viktigt och nödvändigt men att det fortfarande har låg status. Själva lärarstudenterna hade ingen eller lite kompetens i ämnet.Slutsatserna som dras är att ämnet fortfarande används som ett resursämne och därför har låg status vilket i sin tur leder till att få lärarstudenter utbildar sig i detta viktiga ämne..
