Inbjuden av Gustaf III, den franska teaterdekoratören, konstnären och arkitekten Louis Jean Desprez, i Sverige 1784-1804, förnyade teaterdekorationen på Operan. Genom att analysera Desprez? teaterdekorationer med inspiration från de abstrakta konstnärerna Mondrian, Malevich och Rothko, utvecklar uppsatsen ett nytt tolkningssystem som tillsammans med traditionell tolkning innebär en djupare tolkningsmetod. Detta visar att Desprez? teaterdekorationer var viktiga för Gustaf III:s kulturpolitik.

The aim of this study was to describe the attitudes against abused women. A literature review was used in this study. Information was collected from the literature and articles written about the subject and brought together and then critical analysed. To help with the organisation structure we used Ida Jean Orlando's theory as a theoretical framework. Our findings indicate that the nurses had a lack of acknowledgment about the women's situations and needed education about their situations.

In this essay I have read the novels Wide Sargasso Sea (Jean Rhys 1966), Desirada (Maryse Condé 1997) and Invisible Cities (Italo Calvino 1972) through Édouard Glissant?s notion of the primary scene in Philosophie de la relation. Poésie en étendue. I have examined how the primary scene can be seen as a political/an aesthetical strategy in the three novels. This was done in order to question the blunted tool of the notion of the identity, which is often considered in studies regarding ?postcolonial novels?.

Studien undersöker det sublima i Stanley Kubricks rymdepos från 1968. Främst behandlas den estetiska dimensionen av begreppet men av stort intresse är också huruvida filmmediet rymmer en mediespecifik sublimitet. Fyra tänkare ligger till grund för förståelsen av begreppet så som det formuleras i den teoretiska inledningen av uppsatsen ? Longinos, Edmund Burke, Immanuel Kant samt Jean-François Lyotard och varje tänkare erbjuder en unik förståelse av begreppet. Detta ger ett mångfacetterat begrepp som kommer att prägla det metodologiska förfarandet.

Narratives about UFO:s and extraterrestrials can be regarded as part of an everyday religiosity, yet the issue has been poorly studied outside an American context, within the discipline of Religious Studies. In this paper, I therefore seek knowledge about the further development of these narratives within the Swedish UFO-movement from the 1960?s until today. Influenced by social anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss´ discussion about mythems as the smallest components of a myth, I argue that the stories which emerge within the Swedish context differ from the American ones. This difference consists of both loss of certain mythemes and the addition of others to this mythic complex.

Denna studie undersöker temat ?hembygden? i Helmer Grundströms tidiga diktning. Metodengrundar sig på en kombination av hermeneutisk tematik och ett biografiskt material, för att på så viskunna sammankoppla författarens liv med hans diktning. Tematiken härleds ur avsnittet kallat?Mallarmés poetiska universum?, ur Jean-Pierre Richards L'univers de Mallarmé, men avviker fråndenna på vissa punkter.

Denna uppsats handlar om offentliga rum, med inriktning på fysiska offentliga platser i stadsmiljö, vem och vad som får finnas och synas där, med koppling till växtanvändande av stadens invånare. Vi tar upp teorier om offentligheten av bland annat Jürgen Habermas, Henri Lefebvre, Claude Lefort, Michel Foucault, Nancy Fraser, Don Mitchell och Margaret Crawford. Detta görs främst genom Catharina Gabrielssons och Lina Olssons arbeten, men också genom ett flertal andra studier på området. Vi tar upp sju olika exempel på hur stadens invånare gör avtryck och utrycker sig med växter som material på den offentliga platsen i staden. Vidare reflekterar vi över och resonerar kring de teorier om offentliga rum vi i uppsatsen tar upp.

Carl Gustav Jung started to write his Black books, in which he saw himself analyzing unconscious fantasies, during the same time that he leaved the psychoanalytical movement and broke off his personal relations with Sigmund Freud. This thesis sees the interpretation of these books through a wider contextualization. The purpose is to contribute to the understanding of the breakup between the two. The therapeutic work will be highlighted where the black books will be seen through the lens of three of Jung?s more known patients as well as through the interest in mythology and fantasy that Jung showed during this time.

Abstract The goal of the study was to conduct an in-depth investigation of how conflicts are resolved in schools, from a pupil- and a teacher perspective. Our intention was to view and compare pupils and teachers different opinions in the school environment. A major focus was put on different ways teacher handle conflicts and how they try to prevent them. The material was acquired by interviews with both teachers and pupils. The study is based on Jean Piagets and Lev Vygotskijs visions about the cognitive developmental stage for children. The result of the study shows the teachers need to be attentive and also that the pupils generally do not notice when the teacher works to prevent conflicts.

The aim of this study is to contribute to further research in whether there is a reason why we cope the way we do in relation to age. The questions answered in this study was, what coping two girls, whom lived during the Holocaust, used and how the coping found, were possible to interpret from theories of developmental psychology. In order to answer the questions asked a method called Template Analysis Style and three different theories have been applied.
