Abstract The goal of the study was to conduct an in-depth investigation of how conflicts are resolved in schools, from a pupil- and a teacher perspective. Our intention was to view and compare pupils and teachers different opinions in the school environment. A major focus was put on different ways teacher handle conflicts and how they try to prevent them. The material was acquired by interviews with both teachers and pupils. The study is based on Jean Piagets and Lev Vygotskijs visions about the cognitive developmental stage for children. The result of the study shows the teachers need to be attentive and also that the pupils generally do not notice when the teacher works to prevent conflicts.

This essay captures the process toward a democratic transition in South Africa and tempts on analyzing the efforts made by civil society before the negotiation with the government in the beginning of the 90´s. The method used is a case study.By applying the theory of Elisabeth Jean Wood about the importance of continued mobilization, I try to answer the question: to what extend did civil society influence the democratization process. The focus of the study lies on the years of intensified popular mobilization, from the start of the 80´s until the beginning of the 90´s.The results following this study shows that COSATU, Congress of South African Trade Unions) and ANC(African National Congress) played both a crucial role for the democratization process in South Africa. Is the Swedish author Stig Dagerman an existentialist? This work takes a close look at Dagerman?s novel Island of the Doomed to see if it is possible to consider it an expression of existentialist thinking and to see if it interacts with any specific existentialist tradition. Dagerman?s novel was compared with select works of five existentialist thinkers ? Søren Kierkegaard, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Karl Jaspers, all read in the light of the four categories of existentialistic thinking identified by the Swedish scholar Lennart Koskinen. All the four categories appeared to be central themes within the novel and a few subcategories were identified.

My essay is written from a basis of one of my own experiences were a child is perceived by us pedagogues as lonely and introverted, as well as having trouble socialising because of, what we can see, difficulties making himself understood verbally. I want to highlight how I as a pedagogue can respond to and strengthen children who are outside but still with the group, in a certain sense. I want to reflect on how we can deepen our understanding of these children and how we can facilitate for children who do not follow the norms of society when it comes to communication. I will analyse and draw conclusions with the help of theorists such as Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotskij and interpretations of these, but also look at it from a sociopsychological perspective as the interactions between people and environments play a large and distinctive role in preschool. The purpose of this essay is to enlighten how different we can see and experience situations in preschool.

Sammanfattning Studiens syfte är att få en förståelse för hur pedagoger i förskolan använder sig av och resonerar kring utomhuspedagogik. Vår problemställning är hur pedagoger använder utomhuspedagogiken i den dagliga verksamheten och om de tar tillvara på barnens intresse i utomhusmiljön samt vad utemiljön och utomhuspedagogiken har för möjligheter och/eller hinder för barns utveckling och lärande. Utomhuspedagogik är ett viktigt komplement till barns lärande i förskolan. Att som pedagog arbeta i en utomhusmiljö och bli en medupptäckare tillsammans med barnen bidrar till deras utveckling och lärande. John Dewey och Jean Piaget ansåg att barnen framförallt utvecklas och lär genom att göra.

The aim of this study is to analyse how pornography is used in the American comics X-Men, published by Marvel under the authorship of Chris Claremont.I have applied Butler and MacKinnons theories about pornography as a performative speech, to this special art form. I have also investigated how censorship has influenced the comics evolution and whether it has affected the way women and sexual and ethnical minorities are represented. To corroborate how these theories apply, I have analysed three main female fig-ures in The X-Men comics - Storm, Phoenix and Shadowcat - and I have tried to identify how they relate to existing stereotypes.The conclusion of this essay is that the women characters in X-Men break the existing stereo-types and create new implications. This reinforces Butler?s theory about the possibility to re-verse hate speech and diminishes MacKinnons perspective of pornography as an imperative..

This essay is about the modern Swedish Nazi movement in relation to the German Nazi movement before and during the Second World War. The analysis is made using the Nazi Myth theory as described by French philosophers Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe & Jean-Luc Nancy. Theory and method are aimed at analysing the Nazi movement as a religious one. In this essay I have identified five main Nazi Myth elements required to realize Nazi ideals and embraced by original German Nazis. Through text analysis I have studied how Swedish Nazis use and reproduce these elements.The result will show that the main elements are well represented in modern Swedish Nazi texts and must be considered as central and bearing in modern Swedish Nazism. However, modern Swedish Nazism is also different from original German Nazism in some ways, for example in view of race, land and art..

Examensarbetet handlar om barns lek och är inriktad på två olika I Ur och Skurförskolor, där har vi undersökt hur utomhuspedagogiken och pedagogerna påverkar barnens lek. Frågeställningar som vi har utgått ifrån är: Hur upplever pedagogerna leken i inomhusmiljön i jämförelse med i utomhusmiljö? Vad gör pedagogerna för att stimulera barnen i deras lekar? Vilken är pedagogernas roll i barnens lekar i inomhusmiljö i jämförelse med i utomhusmiljö? Vad är pedagogernas resonemang kring den fria leken? Vår tidigare forskning har innefattat utomhuspedagogik, leken och pedagogernas roll i den. Vi har utgått ifrån teoretikerna Jean Piaget och Lev Vygotskijs tankar om barns lek. De metoder som har använts för att besvara våra frågeställningar är kvalitativa intervjuer med två pedagoger på olika förskolor och naturalistiska observationer av barn och pedagoger när de interagerade med varandra. Vi har observerat skillnad i barnens lek i inomhusmiljö i jämförelse med i utomhusmiljö, och även pedagogernas delaktighet i den.

The main purpose of this thesis is to discuss what exile writing is and who can be seen as an exile writer. If the word ?exile? is related to forced dislocation, like Paul Tabori and Sopia A. McClennen describes it, who can be viewed as an exile writer? Is Anders Olsson?s definition of an exile writer acceptable or not? Could the The Escape, a future story about exiled Northern Europeans in Myanmar, be classified as exile literature?Another purpose with this text is to describe how a story about exile can be made realistic and tangible to a reader who has not experienced exile.
