This report is introduced with a presentation of fundamental electromagnetic theories, which have helped a lot in the achievement of methods for calculation and design of microstrip transmission lines and circulators. The used software for the work is also based on these theories. General considerations when designing microstrip solutions, such as different types of transmission lines and circulators, are then presented. Especially the design steps for microstrip lines, which have been used in this project, are described. Discontinuities, like bends of microstrip lines, are treated and simulated.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka problemet som finns vid cytostatikaberedning på sjukhusapoteken i Sverige samt att ta fram ett förslag till en produkt som skall underlätta, helst mekaniskt, beredning av cytostatika i LAF-bänk eller Isolator. Sjukhusapoteken drivs av Apoteket AB. Beredning sker idag för hand med sprutor, detta ger personalen belastnings och förslitningsskador. Det finns i dagsläget inget väl fungerande hjälpmedel vid sprutdragning. Målet var att var att ta fram ett hjälpmedel som skall minska belastningen på fingrar, händer, axlar samt vara ergonomiskt, lättanvänt och portabelt.
