This thesis examines the use of history, historical narratives and the relation to Venezuelan historical consciousness in Libro Rojo, a publication of The Unified Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). It consists of four parts: an introduction, a declaration of principles, statutes and finally what is called the programmatical bases (bases programaticas) of the party.A starting point for this thesis is that this is an under prioritized area of research about the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela. It aims to show the centrality of history in these fundamental documents of the biggest left-wing party in Latin America.The thesis finds that symbolically charged historical figures ? mainly national icons of Venezuela´s struggle for national liberation - are mobilized to back up contemporary aspirations and influence public perception of what kind of future is possible and desirable. Libro Rojo structures the relationship between past, present and future in order to influence historical consciousness.It also finds that Libro Rojo constructs a vision of socialism which aims to show that the ideas and actions of Venezuela´s symbolically charged historical figures are compatible with the ideas of 19th and 20th century western Marxism.

The political and civil unrest during the last years of the First World War had a profound impact on the political life in many European countries. Academic research on the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the development of the parliamentary system during these years, often focus on the civil unrest and the mobilization of the labour movement during the spring of 1917, and the impact on Swedish politics of the Russian and German revolutions.This study is an examination of the relation between the Swedish labour movement and the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The general aim of the study is to examine how different levels and organisations of the labour movement acted in regards to the situation in Finland, and how these different levels and organisations interacted with one another. A second aim of this examination is to better understand during what kind of processes of the Swedish labour movement?s history that the Finnish Civil War occurred, and how it affected them.The conclusion of the study is that the there was a disparity between the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SAP), which at the time was part of the Swedish government together with the liberal party, and the grassroots of the labour movement, organized in trade unions, and in the local organizations of the SAP and the Social Democratic Left Party (SSV).

Genom kvantitativa och kvalitativa metoder och med hjälp av ett ramverk av de teoretiska begreppen stereotyper, berättelser och diskussionen om "den Andre" i Europa, urskiljer och diskuterar jag ett antal huvudteman i bilden av Ukraina. De dominerande huvudteman i rapporteringen är den orange revolutionen, diskussionen om Ukraina i relation till öst och väst i Europa, historiska referenser och ekonomiska möjligheter.Bilden av Ukraina är förvånansvärt homogen i de olika tidningarna. Jag urskiljer en långsamt förändrad bild av Ukraina ? med den orange revolutionen som vändpunkt ? där landet går från att betraktas som ett Gränsland till ett Europaland.

Skolan som spelplats för kultur- och identitetspolitik står i fokus för denna uppsats. En utgångspunkt är att den politik som styr skolan även har inverkan på, och är en produkt av, de diskurser som råder i samhället när det gäller dessa frågor. Min undersökning är baserad på situationen i Guatemala. Där finns sedan 2005 en nationell politisk strategi kring detta, uttryckt i styrdokumentet "Interkulturell tvåspråkig utbildning", som har varit material för den kritiska diskursanalys jag här genomför. Uppsatsen innehåller även en jämförelse med lärares tankar kring detta på plats i Guatemala, baserat på vistelse och materialinsamling där.

Fysisk modell är ett är ett effektivt medel att översätta arkitektoniska koncept till konkret form - både för den egna förståelsen och kommunikation med kollegor, kunder och allmänhet. Modellen är ett av de verktyg som står landskapsarkitekter och arkitekter till hands i gestaltningsprocessen. Inom både svensk utbildnings- och arbetskultur verkar det finnas en syn på modellbygge som tidsödande och svårtillgängligt, trots att dess fördelar ofta diskuteras och tillämpning uppmuntras av både lärare och yrkesverksamma. Parallellt ökar datorgenererade bilder och modeller inom gestaltning och kommunikation, på grund av de senaste decenniernas teknologiska revolution. Syftet med detta arbete var att utforska modellen som skissverktyg och dess konkreta bidrag till en gestaltningsprocess.

Den digitala utvecklingen både i samhället i stort och inom utbildning accelererar som aldrig förr. Många ungdomar idag har tillgång till digitala verktyg så som dator, mobiltelefon, surfplatta mm. Detta ställer nya krav på utbildning och därmed också nya krav på lärarna. Ett urval av matematiklärare på gymnasienivå fick i en webb-survey rangordna vilken kunskapsnivå de anser sig ha med avseende tre huvudområdena som beskrivs av ramverket Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK): teknik, pedagogik, ämnesinnehåll och kombinationer av dessa. Resultaten visar att lärarna anser sig ha en hög kunskapsnivå med avseende på pedagogik och ämnesinnehåll samt kombinationen av dessa men att kunskapsnivån ligger lägre när det gäller teknik och då framförallt den rent tekniska biten (t.ex.

Idag är människor mer benägna att se en film om en historisk händelse än att läsa en historiebok, och detta innebär att vi måste lära oss att förstå de konventioner som används för att placera historia på film. Historiefilmen kan sägas besitta en palimpsestisk historiskt medvetenhet där lager av fakta och myt smälter samman, hellre än att skiljas åt. Men för att en historisk händelse ska passa in i filmens tidsram måste den bearbetas och detta resulterar i att vissa människor, händelser och rörelser prioriteras, medan andra utesluts. Därför undersöker denna uppsats vad som lagts till / uteslutits och effekterna på sammanhanget och trovärdighet, hur filmen hävdar sin autenticitet, och hur upphovsmannen påverkar trovärdigheten.

The aim of this study is to make a comparative study between the grievances during the Dacke Warand the German Peasant´s War. These two conflicts may have occurred separately, regarding bothgeographical and chronological distances but also share common issues for this comparative study.Less than two decades separates these two conflicts and they were all by their own serious insurrectionsduring their time. While the German Peasant´s War was the greatest uprising in Europe up tothe French Revolution, the Dacke War was the biggest Peasant Rebellion in Scandinavian history.While the German Peasant War has been studied and researched by historians for a relative longtime, the Dacke War has been neglected in research history. If it were not for the Swedish professorLars-Olof Larsson?s studies during foremost in the 1960s, the Dacke War would have been a historicallyuncharted territory of research indeed.
