This paper examines whether the American officer?s education at West Point and the Swedish officer?s education at the Military Academy Karlberg have adapted their history of the military art education in accordance to the new requirements of the Armed Forces and its focus on the operational defense. Sweden is evolving towards an operational defense and so is the United States. This in turn requires that training and education keep up with the changes. The National Defense College in Sweden do not focus the teaching of advanced history, which happened beforet he Invention of the engine, in the officer?s training program, while the American education is rather advanced, with special focus on events taken place in the 19th century up to the Cold War.

Light has always fascinated humans but ever since the Invention of the first light bulb, the use of artificial lighting has accelerated dramatically. Darkness has never been as rare as today and the overuse of lighting has created a new phenomenon called light pollution. Most living beings are biologically dependent on the recurrent twenty-four-hour rhythm of light and darkness, called the circadian cycle. Human beings are evolutionary developed after this circadian rhythm and the effects of constant artificial light is yet unknown. Scientists fear the consequences of constant lighting and what it means physically, mentally and philosophically for the human species.

There is a need for low cost interventions like household-based water treatment and safe storage (HWTS). Solvatten AB is a Swedish company based in Stockholm. Their product, Solvatten, is a household water treatment unit that can treat water containing viruses, parasites and bacteria.

BackgroundIncubators are important facilities for economic growth in society. The main purpose of incubators is to accelerate knowledge intensive firms onto their market by both providing resources and an entrepreneurial environment.Problem Companies within incubators are encouraged to share knowledge and experience with each other with the goal to stimulate development and Invention of new technology. This exchange involves interaction on an inter-personal and inter-organizational level. Incubators need to create an open and transparent environment in order to enable this exchange on both levels.Purpose The purpose of this study is to enhance the understanding of how knowledge and experience exchange occurs within the context of incubator systems. By understanding how incubators can capture knowledge and learn from the incubator process, this study can contribute by insights of how the incubator process can be further improved.Method This bachelor thesis is written from an abductive approach and is based on a qualitative case study of Ideon Innovation in Lund.

The purpose of this study has been to analyze the image of Strindberg in today's upper secondary school. How is the author portrayed in the textbooks and teaching aids, and which parts of the authorship does the textbook and teaching aids authors choose to focus on?  This work has been implemented in the form of a textbook and teaching aids survey where eight textbooks for the upper secondary school from 1989 to 2008 has been analyzed with focus on the sections that consider Strindberg and his authorships.What emerges when studying these textbooks and teaching aids is that they give a rather synonymous picture of the man and the author Strindberg. Big focus is aimed on private life and the scandals that the author more or less voluntary became a part of. The majority of the textbooks treats matters as ?the misogynist? and ? the critic of society? and the so called Inferno crisis, and also when one discusses the literary works it is done in the light of the author's own life and accomplishments.When it comes to the author's literary production it is a very limited selection that is presented to the students.

SAMMANFATTNINGSyfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att beskriva och analysera några väsentliga faktorer som kan underlätta respektive hindra organisationer, i meningen företag, att få fram produkt-innovationer. Metod: Studiens angreppssätt är hermeneutiskt abduktivt och dess metod kvalitativ. In-samling av primär- och sekundärdata har således skett i en växelverkande process mellan empiri och teori, med löpande kontextuell analys. Teoretiska perspektiv: Teoriavsnittets primära delar avhandlar förutsättningar för produktinnovationer i organisationer. Här fokuseras organisationsinterna och -externa för-hållanden, som enligt olika teorier främjar, respektive hämmar, inno-vationsprocessen.

Införande av nya innovationer och utmönstring av äldre teknologier inom hälso- och sjukvården är inte helt okomplicerad. Ett flertal omständigheter och problem måste beaktas, exempelvis att ökad tillgång till bättre teknologi och tillämpning av ny kunskap visserligen ger förbättrad hälsa, men utvecklingen och användningen av ny medicinsk teknologi innebär även ökade hälso- och sjukvårdskostnader. Hälso- och sjukvården måste därför kunna balansera de tre målen kostnadseffektivitet, kostnadskontroll och främja utvecklingen av innovationer. Det är fakta som tas upp redan i inledning och bakgrund och områdena behandlas framåt i uppsatsen. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är därför att beskriva och analysera införandet av nya innovationer och utmönstringen av äldre teknologier inom hälso- och sjukvården.
