Under de senare åren har intresset att betrakta äldre musik på ett stiltroget sätt ökat. Detta intresse har medfört att man nu lägger allt större vikt vid kunskap om tiden då musiken skrevs, för att förstå denna musik på ett djupare plan. Forskningen kring detta har försvårats genom att de källor man har från tiden, ofta säger emot varandra. Detta gör det svårt att avgöra vad i källorna som man egentligen kan påstå är en avbild av en tradition eller vad som är en mans egen uppfattning och tolkning av samtidens musiktradition. Genom detta arbete har jag närmat mig denna problematik genom att jämföra tre viktiga spelböcker från 1750-talet för att på så sätt få fram vilka olikheter och gemensamma nämnare dessa böcker har.

The purpose of this study is to examine to what extent the senior level Swedish school can be viewed as supporting, or counteracting, a colonial discourse that legitimizes global and national injustices. The study is executed through a discourse analysis of five textbooks in social science for senior level Swedish schools.Using elements from Foucault and Edward Said a theoretical framework is constructed, in which a colonial discourse is perceived as structured around four clusters of ideas, namely (i) the use of dichotomies, (ii) the concept of progress and civilization, (iii) the construction of -we- as synonymous with (ii), and (iv) the construction of -the others- as the opposite of (ii) and, therefore, the opposite of -us-.The results show that a colonial discourse is still highly present in the textbooks, in that the texts are structured around dichotomies such as tradition/modernity and democracy/dictatorship. Sweden and the Western world are perceived as closely associated with democracy, freedom, and modernity, whereas -the others- of the world are being associated with e.g. poverty, conflict, tradition, and ignorance. -The others- within Sweden, i.e.

Offshoreindustrin på Nordsjön sysselsätter ett stort antal offshorefartyg med olika uppdrag för att stödja produktionen av olja och gas. Prospektering av nya oljefyndigheter, bogsering av installationer och att förse installationer med förnödenheter är några av de uppgifter offshorefartyg utför.För att genomföra arbetsuppgifter säkert, använder offshorefartyg och installationer sig av North West European Area Guidelines. Riktlinjer för hur arbeten skall utföras säkert och för att undvika olyckor som kan skada både människa, miljö och ekonomi.Kollisioner mellan offshorefartyg och installationer sker ändå, med varierande konsekvenser. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta reda på vad som sker på bryggan, ombord på ett offshorefartyg när det skall utföra arbete intill en installation. Rapporten är tänkt att ligga till grund för framtida arbeten som syftar till att öka säkerheten inom branschen.Som datainsamlingsmetod har gruppintervjuer utformade som fokusgrupper använts.

Opinions differ in the area of user interface where some feel that mobile phones exclude users such as senior citizens or users with an intellectual or a physical disability.Universal Design ??design for all?, is a vision that intends to bring about settings, products and services that suits as many people as possible irrespective of an individual?s needs and prospects. The criteria for ?design for all? are among other things flexibility, user friendliness, comprehensibility and a high tolerance for mistakes.The purpose of this essay was to investigate the mobile phones graphic user-interface from the theory of a universal design.

This essay intends to provide an understanding of the developments in the right of public access and recreational activities in the forests of Sweden, and which factors and prerequisites that have affected this development. The forest and its history, along with recreational development has in many ways shaped today?s rights of public access, but there is also an age-old tradition of public access that has affected how we have used the forest, and that also has enabled the development of outdoor recreation. Many are unaware of this, which causes misunderstanding to appear around the rights of public access and how it is supposed to be used.The essay opens with historical descriptions of public access, the Swedish forest and outdoor recreation, to thereby provide a picture of how these three fields have influenced each other over the centuries. This is followed by a description of the current access rights and the problems associated with those, and a description of other countries' equivalent of the right of public access.

The purpose of the study is to investigate methods and work procedures that aim to motivate people to leave a cult and/or supporting them after a cult exit. The study was limited to investigate how Sweden?s, within the area, three premier voluntary organizations Föreningen Rädda Individen, Rådgivning Om Sekter and Hjälpkällan work with present -, ex ? and relatives to cult members. In addition to the mentioned organizations we have also investigated the work procedures and methods used by Åke Wiman. The study has got a qualitative approach and includes semi-structured interviews.

In this essay I point out that the presence of  ?Otherness? plays a key role in the novel The Beach by Alex Garland, and that the text relates to a colonial literary tradition. I?ve mainly used the distinction of Otherness and cultural representation presented by the postcolonial theorist Edward W. Said to guide me.

Purpose: The purpose is to present a greater understanding of the progression of innovation capital in a technology transfer and biotech start-up context. The findings offer technology transfer professionals, entrepreneurs and academia an overall perception and mental framework of the technology transfer practice and the embracement of a promising invention, building upon its hidden value. Methodology: The thesis was conducted using a qualitative case study, executed with the help of interviews, in order to answer the research question: How is an embryo of innovation capital continuously cultivated in a technology transfer and biomedical start-up process? Conclusions: A technology transfer entity provides the means to establish a platform where an entrepreneur can build its own human capital, structural capital, and relationship capital. The forms of capital interact and thus create value, herein considered as innovation capital.

Protestant bias is shaped by a ?marinade? of liberal Protestant Christianity and has an indirect influence on how other religions are described, how religion is defined and how concepts such as religion, tradition or culture are viwed.The study was also based on Ninian Smart?s dimensions of religion, whichcorrelates to Berglund?s theory on Protestant bias.

The Anglo-Saxon trust is not a new phenomenon, but existed as early as in the Middle Ages. The concept is customary among common-law countries, such as England the US,but unfamiliar to civil-law countries like Sweden. The person who creates the trust is called a settlor, the one who holds and administer the property is a trustee and the person who benefits from the settlement is called a beneficiary.In Sweden there is no legislation of how the trust ought to be assessed, but the need to understand it has probably increased with the internationalization.The Swedish Supreme Administrative Court has had a few opportunities to elucidate some of the uncertainties regarding trusts, but chose to abstain. A feeling that every move we make has bad consequences for nature. This essay is an investigation of how art in general and jewellery art in particular can be a way of discussing and visualizing current environmental problems and the complex relationship between human and nature. I am discussing how artworks dealing with a dark and dystopian picture of the relation can be seen as the memento mori of our time.

Vi valde att genomföra en undersökning baserad på intervjuer med syfte att undersöka hur lärare resonerar kring handskrivandets roll i förhållande till ny skrivteknik. Både lärare på högskolenivå och som undervisar i förskoleklass medverkar i studien. Forskningsfrågorna som ligger till grund för undersökningen är följande: Hur resonerar lärare kring en korrekt pennfattnings betydelse för barns skrivförmåga? Hur resonerar lärare om att använda datorer och andra skrivhjälpmedel i barns skrivande? Vår undersökning kommer att belysas utifrån ett sociohistoriskt perspektiv.Uppsatsen tar upp ämne som skrivundervisning i Sverige, definition av en korrekt pennfattning, styrdokument, barnet som skrivande person samt datorn i undervisningen. Vi finner det rimligt att fråga hur korrekt pennfattning har betydelse för barns skrivförmåga.

Undersökningen har syftat till att ta reda på om materialet trä har samma funktion som det textila materialet i att förena människor i motsvarigheter till vad vi kallar syjunta. Undersökningen har därutöver behandlat frågor kring varför människor väljer att träffas på ett sådant sätt, hur relationer till materialet ser ut och vad tradition spelar för roll för denna form av verksamhet. Genom en kort historisk tillbakablick har undersökningen försökt hitta sy- och träjuntornas historiska ursprung. Etnografisk metod har använts för datainsamling, vilket i praktiken har inneburit deltagande observationer, samtal och intervjuer med deltagare i sex olika slöjdgrupper i Mellansverige.
