AbstractThe aim of this examination paper is to get an overview on the ?no-maintenance? windowsthat exist on the Swedish market, like plastic and aluminium windows.By way of introduction the reader gets knowledge in the background and problemformulatethat this subject has. This introduction explains why it has become so popular to changeyour windows into plastic- and aluminium windows and there is an existing scepticismagainst PVC and aluminium as construction material for windows.The main part of this report is constructed by segments of interviews where bothproducers of windows and stakeholders gets to answer questions about their viewing onno-maintenance windows from a material and construction point of view and where theproduction is headed to in the future. This is followed by an evaluation of a questionnaireon how pleased the house owners that changed their old windows to no-maintenancewindows are, followed by an inspection of windows made up from wood and an aluminiumclothing, windows made from only aluminium and PVC-based windows. The purpose of this study is to make a qualitative evaluation of the MTFC-program (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care) on the basis of six youth´s experiences of the program. The study will investigate what the youth experienced as positive and negative about the program as well as finding out what has helped them or inhibited them from the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle. A secondary purpose of this study is to make the youth´s voices heard in the research world. The research question is: Which factors in the MTFC-program have helped or inhibited the youth towards the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle? For this purpose, a qualitative research method has been used where semistructured interviews have been performed on six youth who have gone through the MTFC-program.

The Academy for health and working life, University of Gavle.Purpose: To investigate and compare perceived stress and recovery among Swedish femalestudents (high school, third degree) in a vocational program versus a theoretical program.Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on forty female students (vocationalprogram, n=20; theoretical, n=20) to give a cross section of the population in question. Datawas collected by questionnaries, which included questions on perceived stress and energylevels, demand, control and social support at school.

På senare tid har skolungdomar börjat uppleva sig allt mer stressade. Det kan handla om exempelvis stress inför skolan och den kommande framtiden. Denna studie undersökte elever på högskoleförberedande program upplevda stress, stressen inför framtiden samt eventuell betydelse av Locus of Control och kön. Respondenterna utgjordes av 42 poj-kar och 51 flickor, samtliga gick på samma gymnasieskola i årskurs tre. De fick besvara tre bakgrundsfrågor, en inom stressforskning väl använd stressenkät (PSS), en fråga gällande stress inför framtiden, samt Locus Of Control.

Syftet med studien är att i valfrihetens spår studera hur denna valfrihet utnyttjas och vilka utbildningsvägar en elevkohort tar. Studieobjektet är tre elevkohorter som gick årskurs 5 i tre skolor i tre olika stadsdelar i Uppsala. Med hjälp av statistik som bearbetats från Uppsala kommuns elevdatabaser har utbildningsvägar fastställts och analyserats mot den socioekonomiska bakgrunden i stadsdelarna. För att förklara utbildningsvägarna användes teoretiska begrepp såsom utbildningskapital som lånats av Pierre Bourdieu. Resultaten visar att den vanligaste studievägen för elever från Sunnerstaskolan är att efter årskurs 5 välja friskola och sedan ett studieförberedande program på gymnasiet.

AbstractThe aim of this thesis is to investigate an experimental work in the region of Kronoberg and to study, from the actors? point of view, what possibilities there are for cooperation when it comes to hastening the introduction for newly arrived immigrants on the labour market, and also what possibilities the cooperation entails for the newly arrived immigrants to integrate on the labour market. The thesis employs the following research questions to answer the purpose:How do the actors in the project work to fasten the introduction to the Swedish labour market?Which opportunities and obstacles do the actors experience for cooperation in the project?Which consequences do the actors experience that cooperation in the project bring for the newly arrived immigrants? opportunity to integrate on the labour market?In order to answer the questions, ten actors involved in the project have been interviewed. Also written documents have been used.The conclusion of the study is that explicit goal and explicit division of the responsibilities in the project have made the cooperation easier.

In our essay we examine the different introduction models that are practiced in preschool. The central question is if the different models have any importance (or consequences) for the children?s connection in preschool. In the two different cases we will present, one based upon preparatory training that was applied during the 1990s and another that is currently used today.The purpose with this essay was to get a deeper understanding for the child?s attachment to preschool and for how we, as educators should act during the preparatory training to create a secure foundation for the child.

Certifications is common for IT in relation to individual program languages or program applications. Certifications for educations that endures several years is not as common to see. In this paper the situation for the Systems Science programme is researched, by investigating how the programme looks around in Sweden. Also by using interviews, show how companies and people responsible for the programme in Umeå, think the contact is between them and how the knowledge of the Systems Science students are from the view of the companies that employ them. In the end the conclusions show that there are differences in the Systems Science programme, and that the companies have quite a similar view of what the Systems Science students are good and not so good at.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka ett antal svensklärares syn på syftet med läsning av skönlitteratur, urval av texter, populärlitteratur och kvalitetslitteratur samt bedömningar inför betygsättning. Undersökningen berör den skönlitterära läsningen i ämnet svenska i gymnasieskolan och är inriktad på skillnader mellan yrkesförberedande respektive teoretiska program. Undersökningen består av kvalitativa, halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Resultatet har delats in i fyra kategorier, nämligen Syftet med att läsa skönlitteratur, Urval, Populärlitteratur och kvalitetslitteratur samt Bedömning.Då avgränsningen av materialet färdigställts, genomfördes en analys av materialet där informanternas uttalanden jämfördes med tidigare forskning samt Kursplanen i svenska. Gällande de flesta frågeställningar som diskuteras i undersökningen, märks inga större skillnader mellan de informanter som representerar teoretiska program och de som representerar yrkesförberedande program.

This report is the result of a diploma work made at IMT at US in Linköping. The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the possibility to design a general program for data-acquisition using LabVIEW, suiting different hardwares and connections. Great importance has been attached to communication with serialport, using bluetooth, because different wireless PPG-instruments has been developed parallel to this project. The area of Järvafältet in the northern parts of Stockholm is one of the many large-scale investments into Swedish residency executed in the 60?s and 70?s, and which got the name Miljonprogrammet. Not until today these buildings have been restored, and frustration has been brewing in these areas for some time. Järvadialogen is the name of a communication program connected to the housing restoration in the area of Husby, which is a part of Järvafältet, and functions as a promotional and informational dialogue between residents in the area and those responsible for the communication program. The cultural diversity in the area of Husby is significant, and with theories on intercultural communication, change communication and power we study the performed communicative process and the manner in which it is received.
