Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna undersökning är att genom intervention utvärdera vilken effekt Positiv Psykologi, i form av CASIO-modellen, har på välmående, stresshantering och copingförmåga hos elever som går tredje året på en idrottsinriktad gymnasieutbildning. Våra frågeställningar var:- Vilka skillnader kan vi se mellan för- och eftertesten i interventionsgruppen?- Vilka skillnader kan vi se mellan för- och eftertesten i kontrollgruppen?- Vilka skillnader kan vi se mellan interventions- och kontrollgruppen i för- och eftertesten?MetodVi har använt oss av en kvantitativ interventionsstudie som pågick i sex veckor med en grupp elever som gick tredje året på ett idrottsinriktat gymnasium som valdes ut genom ett bekvämlighetsurval. Interventionen hade CASIO-modellen ( Circumstances, Attitude, Standards, Importance & Other things) som grund. Denna modell är sprungen ur den positiva psykologin, och den syftar till att ge deltagarna verktyg att lösa problem i livet och öka sin livskvallitet.

This study aims to explain the Stuxnet-attack against Iran in 2009-2010 by using the IR-theory of structural realism. By doing so the theory also faces the challenge of the impact of the information revolution on security and international relations. The structural realism that is at hand is that of Kenneth Waltz and his Theory of International Politics from 1979.The study reaches the conclusion that Waltzs focus on the structure of the international system and the distribution of capabilities applies well to the case of Stuxnet as a cyber attack. The creators of the sophisticated Stuxnet, USA and Israel, also indicates that when it comes to this certain aspect of the information revolution and IR, states seem to still be the main actor. Finally the character of one of the major features of the Stuxnet-attack; the internet, is shown to have an anarchic structure that fits well as an extension of the realist view of the international system..

The purpose of this thesis is to explain one aspect of how and why the development in the third world is lagging behind. The precondition is that development through an agricultural revolution is necessary and that all countries benefit from trading. But these two conditions are not met today. By using the urban-bias and the world system theory I have analysed how the situation appears to be according to the precondition. It appears that both the urban-bias and the world system theory are essential to understand how and why the situation in third world still has not reached the same development phase as most other countries.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement in the United States. By using a known theory within social movement studies, the political process theory, this thesis look into the factors that could have played a role in the rise and fast mobilization of the Tea Party movement. The political process theory consists of three parts and hence looks into both the political structure of, in this case, the United States, how mobilizing structures have been used and into the cultural framing used by the Tea Party to create their identity. In order to bring structure to the thesis, the three theory parts have been transformed into analysis models. These give a very good idea of all the factors that could have played a part and therefore also a good way to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement.The research confirm what the political process theory says, that the Tea Party movements rise came at a time when there were a mix of factors at play, both structural and cultural, creating an opportunity that the Tea Party took.

The purpose of the study was to learn how social structures can enable accessibility, by asking persons with visual impairment about their experiences of accessibility in the public environment in the city of Stockholm. Eleven adults with visual impairments, living in the city of Stockholm, were interviewed using two separate focus groups. The study was carried out with the objective to allow for the participants to be involved in the research process. The resulting data was analyzed on the basis of Nancy Fraser?s theory on social justice, focusing on the conceptions; needs, politicised needs, redistribution, recognition and misrecognition.

The essay begins by asserting that the theoretical approaches of men?s violence against women are just as important to study as its extent. The purpose is therefore to analyse and compare two theoretical approaches which is done by a comparative text analysis of two texts written on the subject. The essay attempts to answer two questions; what the theoretical approaches are and how they can be understood in light of feminist theory.Previous research on men?s violence against women discuss especially three theoretical aspects.

This paper has its aim to investigate in which way the theory about the dynamic of the triadic nexus, presented by Brubaker, needs to be revised. In the first place this theory is presented and after then applied on the triad formed by: the Hungarian national minority in Transylvania, Romania and Hungary. Through the empirical evidences, that are presented here by following up the political relations and its dynamics over time between the three fields, is shown that the theory is usable for the case in question. Further as we approach the more actual development of the political life in the triad appears a need to deal with one more field which would be for example the NATO or/and EU.This means that Brubakers theory has to be revised so it would take in account a forth field and that of an international organization/institution. The arguments for this needed change is put forth through empirical evidences on the political relations that the two states has with NATO or/and EU and the huge influence these have on the states..

Ecotherapy, Nature Based Rehabilitation eller Naturunderstödd Rehabilitering är olika begrepp för liknande verksamheter. I grunden ligger en holistisk och mångfacetterad dimension som syftar till att uppnå ett upplevelsebaserat lärande genom aktiviteter i ett ömsesidigt samspel med naturen. Aktiviteterna erbjuds på särskilt utvalda platser av professionell personal. Genom reflektion individuellt och i grupp kan erfarenheterna överföras till deltagarnas vardag. I processen ses naturen som en co-terapeut och som en katalysator som kan underlätta en individuell förändringsprocess.

Human trafficking is one of the biggest social problems in Nepal with over 12.000 Nepali women and children being trafficked over the border to India every year. Despite the scale and the severe consequences of trafficking in the Nepalese society, very little is known about efforts to rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking. The purpose of this study was to illustrate the rehabilitation methods and interventions in Nepal. It is based on the results from five interviews with three different nongovernmental organizations in Nepal. The result from this study shows that counseling is the main intervention for rehabilitation of the mental health of victims of trafficking.

Korttidsfrånvaron inom Omsorgsförvaltningen i Värnamo kommun har av arbetsledningen befunnits hög och man har då valt en strategi för hantering av korttidsfrånvaron som blivit föremål för denna utvärdering.Undersökningen omfattar en sammanställning av de läkarbesök som genomförts med anledning av upprepad korttidsfrånvaro bland anställda i Omsorgsförvaltningen i Värnamo Kommun. Vidare utvärderades den förstadagsanmälan av frånvaro till företagssköterska som införts.Den undersökta gruppen består av 17 personer anställda som undersköterskor. Vid läkarbesöket gjordes en medicinsk bedömning och i vissa fall kompletterande medicinska åtgärder såsom förslag på medicinering, remittering till offentlig vårdgivare etc. Antalet frånvarotillfällen i två avgränsade perioder omfattande 6 månader vardera har utvärderats. Dessutom har en enkät distribuerats i syfte att få en uppfattning om hur de anställda har uppfattat arbetsgivarens sätt att hantera korttidsfrånvaron.Resultatet påvisar en reduktion i gruppens totala antal frånvarotillfällen från 70 frånvarotillfällen före intervention till 45 frånvarotillfällen efter intervention, dvs en reduktion med 36%.

Att hitta preventiva metoder för att motverka ungdomars psykiska ohälsa är ett angeläget forskningsområde, både sett till mänskligt lidande för individen och ur ett samhällsekonomiskt perspektiv. Föreliggande kontrollerade studie, som är randomiserad stratifierat för kön avsåg undersöka om en gruppbaserad ACT-intervention (n=15) kunde vara statistiskt signifikant mer effektiv än sedvanligt omhändertagande (n=17) av ungdomar med eller i riskzonen för psykisk ohälsa. Psykisk ohälsa operationaliserades i termer av ångest, depression, stress, upplevd global livskvalitet, allmän psykisk hälsa, psykologisk flexibilitet, beteendemässigt och emotionellt undvikande, samt medveten närvaro. Resultatet visar att interventionen hade starka positiva effekter på stress, upplevd global livskvalitet och medveten närvaro, samt måttliga effekter på allmän psykisk hälsa, och svaga effekter på depression, ångest, psykologisk flexibilitet, beteendemässigt och emotionellt undvikande. Risker för fall och fallskador är ett betydande patientsäkerhetsproblem vid sjukhus och andra vårdinstitutioner. En allvarlig konsekvens av fall är höftfraktur. Förutom onödigt lidande för patienten leder detta till ökade sjukvårds- och samhällskostnader.Syftet med studie var att kartlägga tidigare fall och fallskador inom sluten vård samt att utvärdera om en intervention omfattande implementering av en riskbedömningsmall och preventiva åtgärder så som antihalksockor samt utökning av sänglarm kunde minska fall och fallskador. Studien omfattade samtliga patienter från två medicinavdelningar på ett svenskt länsdelssjukhus med dokumenterad hög fallincidens och utfördes i två steg. Deskriptiv kartläggning av antalet inrapporterade fall och fallskador, samt de händelser som lett till fallolyckor inom sluten vård under år 2002/2003.

Bakgrund: En åldrande befolkning innebär ett ökat behov av hälsofrämjande och sjukdomsförebyggande insatser. Deltagande i kulturella aktiviteter skapar sannolikt en bättre hälsa och bidrar till minskade hälsoklyftor i befolkningen. Syfte: Litteraturstudien syftar till att undersöka musikens och dansens hälsofrämjande och sjukdomsförebyggande effekter hos äldre över 60 år. Metod: Metoden var en allmän litteraturstudie där tio vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut, analyserades och sammanställdes utifrån musikens och dansens effekter på äldres hälsa. Resultat: Musik och dans kan fungera som värdefulla interventioner för att öka äldres upplevda välbefinnande och livskvalitet.

The purpose of this paper is to explore how masculinity and femininity are constructed in the magazine Veckorevyn, through a critical discourse analysis of 18 articles from six issues in 2011. This is done by using a variety of theories and previous research results, which is gender theory, the theory of late-modern society and media theory. The analysis shows that Veckorevyn depicts virility and feminine differently. Furthermore, pointing the results from the analysis that a change of manhood and womanhood takes place in the social practice. The selection of articles from the magazine also shows that Veckorevyn seems to promote gender equality. .
