The aim of this quantitative study was to from a gender perspective understand and measure the mental health among young people as a sense of managing to handle situations and also how satisfied young people are with their personal qualities. The study also aims to see if there is a connection between these two ways of explaining mental health. This study takes its standpoint from a gender theory and gender stereotypes. The study was conducted as a survey with 100 young girls and boys, all of whom was students of a Swedish upper secondary school. The result of the study show that young people in general has a good sense of being able to handle situations.

As in society in general, exclusion of individuals takes place in the school system. Even though schools ? according to the curriculum ? are supposed to cherish diversity, many children are left outside of the community formed during school activities. In order to gainknowledge of how schools can prevent and inhibit exclusion, this work aims to study how the problem is interpreted and managed. The study included six pedagogues: three pre-school teachers and three 1?7th grade teachers.

AimThe purpose of this study is to, from a perspective of a PE teacher, look at how teachers of physical education in elementary school designs and assesses the teaching of swimming. The issues underlying the study are as follows:Which elements are included in the swimming education and how do teachers work with these operations?What does the PE teachers classify as swimming ability and what do teachers experience as obstacles for the students development of swimming ability?How do the PE teachers interpret the knowledge requirement in Lgr 11?MethodThe study is based on six interviews of qualitative nature, with PE teachers from various municipalities in the region of Mälardalen.ResultsThe result yielded by the study is that the swimming classes can take different forms depending on whom the teacher is. Common to all the teachers in the study is that they teach emergency management and lifesaving. When it later comes to teaching how to swim and practice, the teachers who teach in the younger age groups work more concentrated and continuously with swimming, while the teachers who work with the older age groups just checks whether students can swim or not.

The aim with this study was to find out how young people at age 16-19 years in Kalmar, Sweden use and interact through Facebook. The questions in our questionnaire were based on three themes, these are; friendship relations on Facebook, what influence Facebook has on young people and how they choose to present themselves on Facebook. The theory that was applied on this study is of social-psychological kind. We chose the theory because we figured it would be suitable to further explain and dispute the aim of the study. The result shows that many different variables can matter in a study like this. We chose to look at a few, such as for example sex and age and we found out that there is a great difference between the way girls and boys use Facebook and how they choose to present themselves in this social media. Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att undersöka om särskilda vårprogram har förebyggande och lindrande effekter vid akut delirium hos äldre personer som vårdas på sjukhus, om det finns skillnader i effekt av vårdprogram mellan olika typer av personer och om någon del av ett vårdprogram kan vara mera betydelsefull än andra. Metoden utgick från en systematisk arbetsprocess enligt Goodmans sju steg. Nio kvantitativa interventionsstudier och två kvantitativa litteraturöversikter ingick i analysprocessen. Analysen visade att det finns ett starkt vetenskapligt stöd för att särskilda vårdprogram kan förebygga och lindra delirium och ett begränsat vetenskapligt underlag för att det finns skillnader i effekten av vårdprogram mellan personer med demens och andra personer som vårdas på sjukhus.

Denna uppsats hade till syfte att undersöka hur attityder inför en hälsointervention ser ut hos anställda på ett företag där de anställda stod inför en kommande hälsointervention. Genom arbetet har författarna använt sig av tolkningar lutade på hermeneutiska principer. Författarna till denna uppsats skaffade sig ett kunskapsunderlag genom att genomföra kvalitativa intervjuer med fem stycken anställda på ett företag som stod inför en hälsointervention. I uppsatsens resultat och analysdel redovisar författarna bland annat intervjudeltagarnas kognitiva, intentionella samt affektiva attityder och tolkar kring dessa. Vidare behandlas informanternas kunskap om den kommande interventionen, samt eventuella bakomliggande faktorer till de uppvisade attityderna.

This study is a semi-­structured, qualitative depth-­interview study investigating Swedish institutional investors' perception of the fact that companies purchase non-­audit services from its signing auditor and if they see this as a threat to auditor independence. The study focuses on independence in appearance rather than independence in fact. The study is based on the current media debate on auditor independence and aims to provide a deeper insight to enlighten legislators how users of audited financial information look at the problem. The study builds on agency theory's notion that there is an information asymmetry between management and shareholders, which the auditor is to reduce. The results show that Swedish institutional investors perceive that there is a threat to auditor independence when companies buy non­-audit services from its signing auditor.

The main focus of this study are the textile prints created by Astrid Sampe (1909-2002). Her fabrics can tell us more about her than a biography ever could. They can reveal how we experience patterns, why we are attracted to them and how our preferences can evolve over time. This study examines four different patterns, and the thesis aims to define Sampe and her textile prints using three different theories and a formal aesthetic analysis. Modernistic and postmodernism theories are relevant when explaining the period where the fabrics were created and how Sampe's ideas were conceived during her lifetime.

This study is made in order to see how music teachers pedagogic design their teaching from a semiotic design theoretical perspective. A survey was done in a study to see how the music college students experienced their music theory teaching. This was followed by an observation of two different music theory teachers teaching music theory and with subsequent interviews. One teacher taught music theory at a swedish non-compulsory School of Arts, Kulturskola, and the other music teacher taught at an independent adult education college. The study's questionnaire, observation and interview revealed patterns of teaching, probably largely due to the teaching tradition.

The purpose of this study was to examine if there are gender differences in computer use among the young. Our aim was to find out in what respects boys and girls differ, if at all. The main method of investigation is a literature review. We have also made a complementary empirical study in a public library. The literature studied principally covers computer use at home and in school.

The study involves six Bosnian refugees experience of integration into Swedish society.The purpose of this study is, through the use of a qualitative method, to get an understanding of what the integration process in the Swedish society has been like for six Bosnian refugees.. These refugees fled from the war in former Yugoslavia and came to Sweden between the years 1992-1995. The country who was once called Yugoslavia is currently divided into six republics comprising, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia, with its provinces, Vojvodina and Kosovo. The main focus of the study has been in the respondent?s thoughts and experiences of integration into Swedish society.

Postoperativa förvirringstillstånd hos äldre medför ofta till ett stort lidande med funktionsnedsättning, längre sjukhusvistelse, risk för institutionalisering och i värsta fall till mortalitet. Det kan lätt ske missdiagnostisering av postoperativa förvirringstillstånd eftersom det finns likheter med demens och depression. Syftet med denna studie var att genom en systematisk litteraturöversikt undersöka er-farenheter av att använda omvårdnadshandlingar för att minska postoperativt delirium hos äldre. Litteraturöversikten baserades på två frågeställningar som utvecklats från syftet: 1) Vilka omvård-nadsinterventioner finns för att upptäcka, förebygga och behandla delirium 2) Hur kan anhöriga vara till hjälp för patienter med post-operativa förvirringstillstånd? Studien baseras på 24 vetenskapliga artiklar.
