The purpose with this essay was to examine how the European Union is working totransfer norms to states they signed an agreement with and provide support for inframe of the Barcelona process and the Tacis programme. The theory which weused was Ian Manners (PhD in Political Science) theory of "the EU as a uniquenormative power". The aim was to examine whether the EU - which Manners mean- has had a normative power to influence states to change. We used a qualitativeapproach through the use of a multiple case study and qualitative text and contentanalysis. The States which formed the basis of our study were within the BarcelonaProcess; Morocco and Tunisia as well as Azerbaijan and Armenia funded by theTacis programme.

Syfte: Att observera om följsamheten till riktlinjer för nutrition förändras efter en intervention med fokus på den sociala interaktionen och serveringen vid måltidssituation. Metod: Fältanteckningar från måltidsobservationer genomförda på två boenden analyserades enligt Systemic Text Condensation (STC). Denna innebar att identifiera teman, meningsbärande enheter, koder och underkoder för att slutligen resultera i en syntetisering som representerade innehållet i fältanteckningarna. Interventionen bestod av handledning av personalen under ett år.

The purpose of this essay was to examine how youths are described in certain written statements that are produced by the social services. The statements that this study has focused on, are those written with the purpose of serving the court with suggestions of treatment-measures when a person between 15 and 18 is suspected of having committed a crime. The main issues were: How is the content in these statements described and what do these descriptions tell the reader? Do the images of youths in the statements differ, depending on the degree of intervention for the suggested treatment-measure? The essay is based on a qualitative content-analysis of 50 statements and the material has been analysed from a social-constructive theoretical perspective.The study shows that the youths in the statements are described through descriptions that reinforces a positive or a negative image of the youth, and that these descriptions are described as either utterances or facts. Depending on the degree of intervention for the suggested treatment-measures, the information in the statements differ in that descriptions that are likely to reinforce a positive image of the youth are more frequent in the statements where no or less intervening treatment-measures is suggested.

Rotskärsskolan is located in Skutskär, Älvkarleby municipality and the school conducted today consists of lower secondary. The school was built in the early 1960s and contains three buildings. Today there is a great need for reconstruction of Rotskärsskolan, when the premises are worn out and not suitable for today's education. It must therefore be a phased change involving all the school buildings, starting in the winter of 2008/2009.Our degree project involves one of these buildings, called house F. This building will, by a recent decision, be adjusted for classes from preschool up to grade five, special school and leisure activities when some of the municipality's schools will consolidate.

Bakgrund: Fetma är en folkhälsosjukdom som drabbar många barn. Barn som är överviktiga och feta förblir det också vanligtvis som vuxna. Fetma kan ge följdkomplikationer som diabetes, och hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar. Det gör att ansträngningar bör vidtas för att motverka barnfetman.  Skolor anses vara ett bra forum för att upptäcka och hjälpa barn med, eller med risk för, fetma. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att beskriva interventioner som gett positiva resultat vad gäller viktreducering och livsstilsförändring i samband med barnfetma.

Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskeledda fotvårdsinterventioner och dess effekter för personer med diabetes typ 2. Metod: Studien är gjord som en litteraturstudie med elva vetenskapliga originalartiklar. Resultat: Resultatet utgår ifrån tre huvudkategorier.

Den här studien undersöker hur min gymnasieklass på en kommunal skola i år ett på Fordon- och transportprogrammet, FT med 24 elever, upplever en intervention med infärgning av yrkesämnet i engelskkursen. Bakgrunden till studien är att jag har upplevt problem med att få eleverna motiverade till att jobba med engelskan och visa intresse för det vi gör. Många elever söker enligt Skolverket till FT för att de är skoltrötta och intresserade av bilar och motorer och inte av teoriämnen. Forskning i Sverige och internationellt visar på att man jobbar med infärgning med goda resultat. Man har till exempel i USA även startat universitetskurser för lärare som vill lära sig om infärgning.

This final thesis is a basic inquiry into a countryside programme for the municipality of Hässleholm. By interviewing people who live in the countryside in the municipality of Hässleholm I?ve tried to get a picture of how the thoughts on development of countryside are. Trough these interviews I?ve also tried to find out how people on the countryside defines the concept of countryside.

The elevated level of testosterone often leads to problem with acne and hirsutism, and it is also common with overweight and metabolic syndrome. The nutrition treatment has mainly consisted of energy restriction, together with exercise and drugs to reduce insulin resistance and consequently reduce androgen levels. However, an in-depth knowledge about how the components of our diet can affect further, is lacking.Omega-3-fatty acids can affect insulin resistance and testosterone levels within other groups but today knowledge is lacking if these findings can be transferred to women with PCOS.

Background: Traditional oral health education is seldom enough in order for dental care personnel to motivate their patients to good, long-lasting oral health care habits and there is a need for evaluation of other more efficient methods. One of these methods is motivational interviewing. An overview of its origin, definition, theoretical background and practical methods is given by way of introduction. Aim: The aim of the investigation was to review studies that had used motivational interviewing in order to obtain oral health, focusing on prevention and treatment of gingivitis, periodontitis and dental caries. Method: Systematic review. A search question was run through the databases ASSIA, ERIC, PsycINFO, Social Services Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts and PubMed. The articles were reviewed based on defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Five publications (based on three studies) met the inclusion criteria.
