In early January 2010 the authors participated in a meeting with the chief engineer for a company in which a central part is manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCB). At this meeting it emerged that the machinery and production methods have changed substantially since the early 1990's. The spreadsheet for preliminary production time calculations by the company is today based on conditions from almost 20 years ago. The company has over the years been trying to adjust the spreadsheet template. The result of these adjustments has filled it with historical residue, something which makes the template difficult and time consuming when the primary user tries to handle it.The purpose of this study was to help the company increase its accuracy in the representation of the production times for the different PCB-based products by developing a new costing model based on an already existing but inadequate spreadsheet template. The company also expressed the wish that the new costing model would be less time consuming to work with.The methods used to achieve the goal are interviewing, participatory observations and meetings with relevant persons. The data obtained were analyzed using the theory on PCB production and visualization of data.

This thesis focuses on interaction in netbased education. The purpose being to increase awareness about what promotes interaction in netbased education through understanding and categorizing the students? opinions . My method is qualitative with a phenomenographic approach. I have conducted a netbased survey with 21 respondents who have completed a netbased course.

Ljusförorening är ett relativt modernt fenomen som allt mer påverkar tillgången till en stjärnklar natthimmel. Det finns en mängd olika internationella organisationer som arbetar för att minska ljusföroreningar och för att bevara natthimlens synlighet, bland andra International Dark-Sky Association, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada och Starlight Initiative. I den här uppsatsen undersöker jag ett antal strategiska dokument genom textanalys, för att analysera deras huvudsakliga motiv till förändringar och för att få en överblick över vilka sorters åtgärder som dessa organisationer föreslår. De analyserade dokumenten är Astrolabs Practical Guide for Lighting, Dark Sky Societys Guidelines for Good Exterior Lighting Plans, International Dark-Sky Associations Practical Guide, Royal Astronomical Society of Canadas Dark Sky Guidelines, Patersons Sark ? Resebranschen är en marknad som speglas av hård konkurrens och en marknad där synlighet och tillgänglighet är en avgörande faktor. Under de senaste åren har resebranschen stått inför en del förändringar när det kommer till hur resorna säljs. I dagens läge säljer resebyråer fler biljetter online än vad de gör i sina fysiska butiker och möjligheten att använda sociala medier i marknadsföringen har uppstått.Med hjälp av sociala medier skapas ett möte mellan resebyråerna och konsumenterna och de kan skapa relationer via Internet. Med den rådande utvecklingen ses tydliga mönster på hur fler företag inom resebranschen börjar satsa resurser på att utveckla och använda sociala medier i sin marknadsföring. Denna uppsats undersöker, och jämför hur och varför resebyråerna Ving, Apollo och Fritidsresor använder sig av sociala medier i sin marknadsföring.

Modern missiles must meet higher and higher demands. They should be autonomous, have long range and still have a big effect on the target. To maximize effect on target some missiles not only minimize miss distance, but also try to hit with a certain angle; often perpendicular to the surface of the target. In this thesis a method to guide the missile in the terminal phase of its mission where both point of impact as angle of impact are specified. The method consist of two parts.

Ett bildlexikon ger en bildlig stimulans och gör lärande till en interaktiv lek. Men bildlexikon är inte enbart för barn, de skapas även för ungdomar och vuxna. De kan berätta historier och sagor på ett underhållande sätt, även återge historia. Deras syfte bestäms enbart av deras skapare. Det denna rapport handlar om är skapandet av ett bildlexikon.

The aim of my study is to look at two specific schools and their work with Internet in the classroom and compare their work to what experts say about how you should educate. The study focuses on how teachers guide the students to be critical to the information they encounter on the internet. What do the experts say? How should the teachers work with Internet in the classroom? What do the teachers say about their work with Internet? What do the teachers say regarding children and the Internet?  To answer these questions I have interviewed two teachers from different schools, which had classes with children 6 to 8 years old. The schools are very different from each other concerning investment on Internet devices in the classroom.

Frågeställningarna som vi ställer oss rör syftet med att ha en interaktiv tavla redan från förskolan och hur pedagogerna ser på möjligheter och hinder med tavlan och hur pedagogerna ser på tavlans möjligheter att bidra till lustfyllt lärande. Vi har även frågat hur utbildning kring tavlans funktioner påverkar pedagogerna och hur pedagogerna ser på digitala medier i framtiden på förskolan. Den forskningsansats som vi använt i studien är kvalitativ.

To achieve this, the thesis is mainly focusing on quantitative data, which is complemented with qualitative findings in terms of a questionnaire.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på företaget Navigate Consulting Business Solutions AB, ett konsultbolag som erbjuder tjänster inom affärssystem, såsom val av affärssystemslösning, implementering och förvaltning.Företaget vill utöka sitt framtida affärssystem, Oracle E-Business Suite R12, genom att lägga till tidrapporteringsmodulen Oracle Time and Labor. För att ta reda på om tidsrapporteringsmodulen möter verksamhetens krav och förväntningar är det nödvändigt att företaget får en uppfattning hur systemet möjligtvis kan lämpa sig, innan de bestämmer sig för att implementera.Med detta som bakgrund och utgångspunkt syftar detta examensarbete till att visualisera den tidrapporteringsprocess och de krav som Navigate har för Oracle E-Business Suite R12, genom användning av prototyp.En inkrementell och iterativ arbetsmetod har tillämpats vid utveckling av denna prototyp. Resultatet av detta examensarbete är en interaktiv prototyp över företagets tidrapporteringsprocess. Stora delar av deras krav har visualiserats, och det har totalt producerats femton skärmbilder för att utveckla prototypen. Dessa har kopplats samman och tillförts med interaktivitet genom prototypverktyget Justinmind Prototyper.Trots att det har inneburit en tidskrävande process för utveckling av prototypen har man funnit potentiella fördelar.

I studien gör jag en avvägning mellan komplexitet, användbarhet och implementeringstid av olika komponenter som bygger upp en interaktiv produktkatalog.Komplexitet är ett begrepp som är svårtolkat, detta beror dels på att olika personer tolkar begreppet på olika sätt. När ett system byggs upp är det bra att det har låg komplexitet och att systemet går fort att bygga upp. Anledning till att komponenterna som bygger upp systemet ska ha låg komplexitet är bland annat att det går att återanvända komponenterna i andra projekt, enklare att uppdatera och felsöka systemet, systemet upplevs bättre, enklare och är mer överskådligt.För att kunna mäta komplexitet används Reschers nio olika aspekter av komplexitet, studien väger också in hur komplext användarna av katalogen upplever de olika komponenterna.Studien visar att en katalog som hämtar informationen från en extern källa och en katalog där informationen finns inbakad i systemet är komplex på olika sätt. Katalogen som hämtar informationen, är med få produkter mer komplex än den andra katalogen med samma antal produkter. Detta är på grund av tidskomplexiteten och alla komponenter som katalogen är uppbyggd av.

My essay is an examination of the poet Mina Loy and two poems that are essential in her authorship, these poems also represents a thematic entrance to Loys life and literary concepts. On the basis of Gunnar Harding preface and translation of selected poems from the collection Lunar Baedeker, I have chosen to look further at the poems Lunar Baedeker and Songs to Joanne, poems that accommodate contexts of an esthetical and linguistic complexion.Using terminology from the philosopher Gilles Deleuze as method for analysis, enabling an examination which proceeds from the concepts of nomadism, deterritorialization and line of flight. In the consideration of Loys modernistic and woman ?becoming, a situational and relational context is introduced which includes references to feminism, cosmopolitism, futurism, modernism, Dadaism as well as to acquaintances of Gertrude Stein, Djuna Barnes, F.T. Marinetti and Isadora Duncan.
