Competition in the market of interior design during the last several years has drastically increased. The consumers of today are very conscious about what the market can offer and therefore they have high demands on the products. It is not only the function of the product that matters but also the design that makes a difference. Companies are becoming more aware of this and as a result they have to find a way to set themselves apart in order to attract customers. This realization has led designers and economists to cooperate in a different way than before.

The aim of this review was to examine scientific literature to determine what kind of physiological and psychological benefits derive from human-dog interaction, as well as attempt to uncover a possible mechanism behind these benefits and whether or not they are mutually beneficial.
A growing body of research indicates there are physiological and psychological benefits associated with human-dog interaction. Significant cardiovascular benefits have been linked with human-dog interaction, as have lowered blood pressure, cortisol and heart rate. Interaction with dogs is often associated with a feeling of social support and well-being, and dogs also seem to facilitate social interaction between people. Dogs? ability to buffer and reduce stress is also well documented.
A strong indication was found regarding a relationship between physical contact and benefits associated with human-dog interaction.

Abstract Many researchers in social work believe that in today's society require the interaction between organisations takes place on social problems. This study examined the interaction between the police, social services and schools.The purpose of this study are as follows; the aim is to investigate the interaction between social services, the police and schools about young people aged 12-18 years who are at risk for abuse and crime.My questions are: How do the different professions interact regarding young people at risk for abuse and crime? How do they meet young people in their daily work? What obstacles can the different professions see in interaction? What effects do the different professions see in interaction?The study is a qualitative study conducted with semi-structured interviews. Respondents have been two from each organisation.The theory used in the analysis of empirical data is new-institutionalismen. New-institutionalism is a theory developed from organizational theories.

Abstract: The fashion industry is perhaps the most unpredictable one where change occurs very rapidly. In order to be attractive and interesting in this competitive industry, a brand must constantly be up to date and differentiated from other brands to attract the consumers. This has given rise to an increasing growth of brands that cooperate for marketing reasons and more specifically, clothing retailers that perform designer collaborations with exclusive designers to create limited collections.Studies describing the effects of those collaborations on the retailers brands are rare and especially from a consumer perspective. Since H&M has been a pioneer in designer collaborations and has done it more times and for more years than any other retailer we have conducted our study on their case. Our intention was to investigate how the designer collaborations have affected the brand equity and image of H&M, if the collaborations have increased the willingness to pay for H&M's other ranges and if they have affected H&M's ability to extend its brand to higher price segments, through an experimental study.

Design principles are usually used by Interaction Designers to help creating a user friendly design by making the designer think about the different aspects of the design. These design principles has been further developed since they emerged in the 1990s, and today they're often used in the field of interaction design. By using the design principles, bad design can be avoided and the frustration of the user reduced. Design patterns is described as structural and behavioral characteristics to improve the environment in user interface amongst other areas. These characteristics could make things easier to understand or improve their appearance, they make tools more usable.The purpose with this essay is to identify design guidelinesto be used by developers when designing surveillance systems.

Therefore we have chosen to focus on this knowledge gap.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to illustrate how the interaction between financial advisors and customers affect financial advisory in investment decision making.Method: The thesis philosophy was positivistic because patterns were found with help of a survey. Humans have always been fascinated by the thought of bringing non living objects to life. We
wanted to explore the possibilities of trying to create an artefact that the audience would
consider possess emotional states and have a life of its own.
TaS is a interactive chair that functions as a social entity. The idea is to try and enhance the
bond between human and artefact, based upon the emotional connection. We try and produce,
enhance and maintain this bond through curiosity based interaction.

Development of a user interface design tool : Bombardier Transportation HMI Designer 3.0 Concept
Denna rapport syftar till att beskriva arbetet med att utveckla en prototyp till den nya versionen av Hmi Designer utvecklat av Bombardier Transportation. Detta designerverktyg används för att skapa det grafiska användargränssnittet på ett tågs kontrolldator. En ny version av designverktyget är nödvändig eftersom resterande delar av Bombardiers programpaket för utveckling av applikationer har bytt både programmeringsmiljö och programmeringsspråk. Den prototyp som utvecklades ska visa på möjligheterna att i ett senare skede utföra ett fullskaligt projekt. Prototypen implementeras som en insticksmodul till Qt Creator, därav beskrivs tillvägagångssättet för att utveckla insticksmoduler i den programmeringsmiljön samt de fördelar och nackdelar som identifierats i och med ett byte till Qt Creator.

This project was intended to develop and improve my skills as an artist/designer. I have used inspirational sources and followedmy artist?s intuition to create something that is individual and a reflection of myself.My goal was to design 7-10 compositions and apply them to t-shirts and then create a photo arrangement with these t-shirts to make a strong artistic presentation.I chose to apply my images to t-shirts, because I feel that the tshirt is a perfect median to display pieces of art. My process has been very non-linear in nature. Trial and error,experimentation and my gut feeling have strongly influenced the progression of my design process and guided me to new ideas.I feel that with this project I have succeeded in fulfilling my goals to develop and improve my skills as an artist/designer..

Lumilos is a work investigating the possibilities to use light and color in an interactive design context.
I have explored different light sources and compared them to each other and given a short
description of the history of light and how it has been developed during the industrialization in the western world. I have also investigated what is currently done in the field and summarized that with examples in the categories passive-, colored-, material- and interactive light. The conclusion is that working with interactive color and light is a hard task. There are many different angles to take into account such as personal likings and earlier experiences that is uncontrollable by the designer. Yet there are many possibilities and light is a material that is moldable in many forms.
I have put the knowledge about light and color into practice and developed an interactive light wall that is visualizing energy consumption with the use of different colors of light and animations.

Between 1999 and 2009, I followed three of my grandparents, all of whom suffered from dementia. Numerous times, when I visited them in their nursing homes, I was met by residents of the ward who were very unhappy. Through conversations at home with my family, I understood more and more that this was a commonly occurring problem at nursing homes. All too often it was solved with heavy medication, which made the residents tired and they slept more often.During my undergraduate education at Konstfack, I have reflected on whether I, as an interior designer and furniture designer, can have an influence on spaces and furniture so that dementia patients can experience greater calm and security. The idea is if that I perceive the environment as calm and secure, I will also be calm and secure.In my degree project, I want to study how interior design and furniture design can contribute to decreased agitation in people with dementia in nursing homes..

Children and adolescents without a parent, or other representative, annually come to seek asylum in Sweden. In the work with unaccompanied children there are many actors who have different responsibilities and interaction between these actors is essential to meet the unaccompanied children?s needs. Our purpose with this study was to generate knowledge for professionals for a possible development in the receipt of unaccompanied children. We have conducted a qualitative study, through interviews with eight professionals.

The purpose of my study is to examine how children through interaction are recognized and understood by other children and teachers at the preschool for one hour in the afternoon. This study gives voice to what young children in preschool do after snack. The overall purpose of this study is to find out what young children's experiences will be in preschool through interaction. The purpose of my research is to gain knowledge about how the time and opportunity for interaction exists between children 1;7-2;5 years, and educators as well as other children, and how this interaction appears during afternoon activities in the preschool.My research questions are:1) What experiences do children get in terms of their development of identity for one hour in the afternoon? 2) How does the interaction that the youngest children are involved in during the afternoon appear? And how long time does every occasion last? The study is based on the interactionist perspective and systems theory.
