Ansökningshandlingarna i ett kommunalt rekryteringsärende är vanligtvis att betrakta som allmänna handlingar. Detta har ibland upplevts som ett problem för kommunala arbetsgivare. Det befaras att många kompetenta presumtiva intressenter avstår från att söka sig en ny kommunal anställning, då det inte kan ske utan en offentlighet redan vid ansökningstillfället.  Under de senaste 20 åren har kommuner därför i allt större utsträckning anlitat konsulter vid rekrytering av högre tjänstemän. I samband med detta har det flera gånger diskuterats hur detta förfarande påverkar offentlighetsprincipen. När privata konsulter sköter kommunala rekryteringsärenden, menar vissa att ansökningshandlingarna i ärendet inte är att betrakta som allmänna när de inkommer till konsulten.

Syftet med arbetet är att göra en jämförande undersökning av orsaker till betygsskillnader i ämnet engelska mellan två skolor. Undersökningen genomförs med fokus på skolor i två områden vars invånare uppvisar divergerande socioekonomisk och utbildningsmässig bakgrund. Arbetet inleds med en statistisk jämförelse av de två områdena på kommunal- och övergripande skolnivå. Därefter kommer en enkätundersökning med hela skolår nio på de respektive skolorna. Slutligen genomförs en intervju en lärarrepresentant för engelskan på skolorna.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to study two subject gate-ways within the field of Swedish higher education and academic research, concerning structuring and selection of Internet resources to facilitate information retrieval for their target groups, and also to study two co-operation projects in the same field, one national and one European, to see how the co-operation is being carried through and how the gateways in the projects can serve from a wider perspective. The gateways, AGORA and NOVAGate, are being studied mainly by their Web sites and two e-mail interviews with persons responsible for the gateways. Facts about the national project are principally based on an interview with BIBSAM. The European Renardus is being studied out of articles and information on the Web site. From the results of the study it is being clear that the purpose of the gateways is to make a quality-selection of information accessible via the Internet and thereby facilitate for their target groups to find usable information.

The school is responsible to make sure that each students´ individual needs are met as well as that the lessons are suitable for all students´ ability. As this is the case it is very interesting to evaluate how this is done in reality. The purpose with the study has been to shed light upon what different methods teachers in various schools use in order to individualize their teach­ings. Are their obvious differences in the way teachers work with individualization and how does this affect the students? The teachers in the different schools provided me with informa­tion on how they work in order to teach, stimulate and motivate well achievers as well as stu­dents who find school more difficult.

This essays main focus will be on emergency shelters in disasters, and their understanding in gender awareness, by focusing on the way gender is constructed and seen. This dissertation will examine documents from Australian Red Cross and IASC (Inter Agency Standing Committee) in order to explore how they work with gender and shelter related issues. The objective is to examine and with help from these documents see how gender is constructed. The method and theory is based on Carol Bacchis; What?s the problem represented to be approach? (WPR-approach).

Kommuner är en verksamhet som påverkar oss medborgare dagligen och finansieras av skatteintäkter som vi betalar in. Under de senaste åren har det rapporterats om skandaler inom kommunal verksamhet som har berott på bristfälliga kontroller inom verksamheten och att rutiner inte har följts vilket har fått konsekvenser. Det har även presenterats en rapport från Europakommissionen om att mutor är förekommande inom kommunal verksamhet även i Sverige vilket kan leda till att den makt kommunerna har används på ett felaktigt sätt. Dessa problem kan anses vara risker för den kommunala verksamheten att nå sina mål och det kan därför finnas ett behov förbättra ledningen av verksamheten för att åtgärda riskerna. Ett sätt att förbättra ledningen är att använda sig av riskhantering vilket är ett ledningsverktyg som har blivit allt mer förekommande för att hantera risker och effektivisera verksamheterna.

AbstractThe purpose of this bachelor thesis is to investigate whether Skatteverket?s interpretation of 3:9 and 3:10 IL is consistent with the legislator?s purpose with these rules.The bachelor thesis is written with a legal approach which seeks to use all sources of law in accordance to its legal source value.Individuals who are considered as tax residents in Sweden have the opportunity to be granted tax exemption according to the six-month-rule and the one-year-rule if the individual works abroad. If the income is taxed in the country of source and the individual has been working there for more than six months, the six-month-rule can be applicable. If the income has not been taxed in the country of source, the individual still can be granted tax exemption through the one-year-rule, but to do so he has to work in the same country for at least one year. Both rules require that the individual does not visit Sweden more than 72 days in a time span of one year.Skatteverket has, in its consideration, decided to add the 72 days on which an individual can visit Sweden with a new number of days, 24 days, which individuals can visit third countries.

Detta arbete handlar om föräldrars engagemang och delaktighet i skolans arbete på en svensk kommunal skola jämfört med en svensk utlandsplacerad privatskola. Genom en enkätundersökning har vi fått en bild av hur föräldrar och lärare på skolorna ser på engagemanget. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka på vilka sätt föräldrarna engagerar sig i skolans arbete och vilka skillnader och likheter det finns mellan de båda skolorna. Resultatet visar att de två skolorna skiljer sig åt genom att föräldrarna på den utlandsplacerade privatskolan har mer tid att engagera sig i barnens skolgång. Föräldrarna på båda skolorna tycker dock att det är mycket viktigt att engagera sig i skolans arbete, för barnens bästa..

 The aim of this thesis is to examine men's attitudes towards literature, and how social norms affect their book reading, in order to contribute to the knowledge of why men's book reading is decreasing. This is realized through a discourse analysis of literature recommendations in men's lifestyle magazines.Two magazines, King of Sweden and Magazine Café, are examined through critical discourse analysis. Theories of discourse are combined with theories of gender to explore how gender stereotypes affect men's reading habits.The analysis shows that ideals of masculinity have a great influence on the book recommendations. Social norms, associated with gender, also seem to have significance to whether or not a book is considered suitable for men to read. These are, inter alia, norms of heterosexuality and violence.

Syftet med min studie är att beskriva möjligheterna och konsekvenserna att använda casemetoden som undervisningsmetodik i en kommunal gymnasieskola i Sverige. Jag vill också utforska hur användandet av ?casemetoden? som inlärningsprocess för gymnasieeleverna kan komma att öka intresset för att använda en specifik undervisningsform, som ?casemetoden?.Undersökningen visar att casemetoden är lämplig undervisningsform för lärare att använda om lärare ska stimulera elevers delaktighet i sin undervisning. Elever uppfattar att det är ett roligt och motiverade arbetssätt jämför med den traditionella undervisningsformen. Den betonar betydelsen av att ta mer ansvar för sig själv i den lärande processen och lär ut konsten att presentera sin åsikt och ta emot andras.

Cultural relict plant species from the Nordic countries have been collected by the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) for the purpose of conservation. To ensure high seed vitality in store, regular germination tests need to be conducted. It is important to get a correct viability status, but the knowledge of seed dormancy in the cultural relict plants is often poor. The objective of this study was to investigate how seed dormancy is affected by cold stratification. The study includes 31 accessions from 28 species with the purpose of establishing germination protocols.

This paper contains an analysis that sets out to investigate how sustainable development is portrayed in textbooks used in gymnasium level civics education. The study covers three textbooks, all in current use. The paper sets out to explore the relationship between the books chapters on economics and those about environmental issues. The sum of these two parts is in the context supposed to make up the books big picture of green sustainable development, i.e. the ecological aspect of sustainable development. An analytical model will be used to categorise and compare the three textbooks.The method chosen for this is analysis of ideas by use of ideal types.

Syftet med denna studie är att bidra till ökad kunskap om kommunikationsbrister inom en utbildningsförvaltning och hur man kan synliggöra dem. I denna uppsats har valet av genomförande grundat sig på den kvalitativa metoden genom intervjustudie. Utifrån de elva intervjuer har i resultatet kommit fram att kommunikations begrepp är svårt att definiera men att en rak kommunikation och öppenheten mellan parterna är väsentlig för en god kommunikation. Mejl är den kommunikationskanalen som används mest men det finns även andra kanaler såsom formella och informella möte, telefon och anslagstavla. Kommunikationen inom utbildningsförvaltningen kan alltid bli tydligare.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this c-level essay shall try to illustrate how a good leader is formed. We have investigated what influences leadership style, personal characteristics or individual competence have when recruiting a new manager. This study has been carried out with comparative applications because we wanted to study the similarities and differences between the Unemployment Office, the Social Insurance Office and the Social Welfare Administration.We have used a qualitative method in interviews both with employers as well as the from the trade union representative?s perspective. Part of our results indicates that the trade union representatives and the employers are not always unanimous and do not request equivalent characteristics and knowledge at recruitment.
