DRÖMMEN OM ETT ENAT NORDEN : Fyra centrala nordiska aktörer om utvecklingen och omfattningen av det nordiska samarbetet

AbstractTitle: DREAMING OF A UNITED ?NORDEN? (The North)? Four central Nordic actors about the progress and extent of Nordic cooperationThe Nordic cooperation are often spoken as in terms of a peaceful international cooperation that is built upon a wide range of similarities among its members, such as a common culture, language similarities and a related kind of political system etc. But in spite of the fact that these so called propitious factors are present, many of the attempts that has been made trying to bring the states of the North (Norden) closer together has turned out unsuccessfully. Therefore no far-reaching Nordic cooperation has come to be implemented. The aim of this essay is to find out what the main reasons could be why this has been the case.I have chosen to take a closer look at the motives given by the former Nordic Prime ministers Tage Erlander (Sweden), Karl August Fagerholm (Finland), Einar Gerardsen (Norway) and Mauno Koivisto (Finland).

Nordiskt säkerhetspolitiskt samarbete : pragmatiskt men gränslöst

This study deals with one particular instance of foreign policy change in Sweden; The political take-off for enhanced Nordic Defence and Security Cooperation in the beginning of the 21st century which led to an agreement on a Nordic declaration on slolidarity. The aim of this study is to explain why the political development has undergone a rapid upturn and when such a policy change occur. Its purpose is to explain what factors and conditions that influenced the policy change. It also explores the meaning of the Nordic Declaration of Solidarity. The theoretical point of departure is Foreign Policy Analysis combined with John Kingdons policy-window theory.

Ingenjörkompaniets förändring från NBG-08 till NBG-11 : - En myt eller sanning?

Uppsatsen Ingenjörkompaniets förändring från NBG-08 till NBG-11 ? En myt eller sanning? behandlar ingenjörkompaniet under Nordic Battlegroup-08 respektive Nordic Battlegroup-11. Uppsatsens skildrar de skillnader vilka fanns på respektive kompani avseende organisationen, materiel och utrustning samt de krav och uppgifter vilka kompaniet hade. Detta har genomförts med en komparation mellan de respektive kompanierna.Syftet med uppsatsen är att se vilken inverkan tidigare organisationer har på framställandet av en ny organisation under respektive Nordic Battlegroup. I detta fallet ingenjörkompaniet under respektive Nordic Battlegroup.En komparation mellan de två olika kompanierna innefattande tre av de grundläggande förmågorna verkan, rörlighet och uthållighet har genomförts kopplat mot två av krigsföringsförmågorna, konceptuella- och fysiska förmågorna.Resultatet av studien visar att slutsatser kopplade till i huvudsak brister kring kommunikationen mellan respektive ingenjörkompani där inget eller mycket begränsat erfarenhetsutbyte genomförts mellan dessa.

En geopolitisk återkomst : Kultur, ekonomi och territoriell konstruktion i samband med inomstatliga konflikter

Through geopolitical theory this thesis explores how conflicts within states can be read and understood according to an analytical model determining one or several possible causes for the conflict.  The model is created by the author and reflects geopolitical theory by giving three possible explanations to an intrastate conflict: culture, economy or territorial construction. The aim of the thesis is testing this model on two selectively chosen case studies ? i.e. two intrastate conflicts ? namely: the upcoming referendum in Scotland and the terror attack at Tiananmen Square in China.

Konflikthantering genom drama : En studie om dramats roll i undervisningen

Abstract The purpose of the essay was to investigate how you can work with conflict management through drama, to promote the meeting with children from many different cultures. I also wanted to see how the work may be different in a heterogeneous or homogeneous group of children.In the background I lift up what a conflict can be, what kind of conflict management methods there are, how to work with drama education as well as what ethnic conflicts can be.The literature studies have shown that there are different types of conflicts and that the conflict management methods are many. In an attempt to get answers to my questions I?ve had drama lessons focusing on conflicts in a heterogeneous and homogeneous group of children in grades 3.My study has shown that conflict management through drama can increase the understanding of other cultures and promote the meeting between children. Just as the literature describes conflicts, they can be difficult to solve and it is important to find a method that suits the class you work with.Key- words: conflict, conflict management, drama, homogeneous, heterogeneous..

En studie av ledarskap, organisationsklimat, tillfredsställelse och extra ansträngning på Faiveley Transport Nordic AB

The aim of this study is to examine if the leadership style in Faiveley Transport Nordic Ltd has an impact on the psychosocial climate in the workplace. Henceforth, we have checked if the psychosocial climate influences the feeling of satisfaction that exists in the organization and if this in turn influences the degree of extra effort the employee chooses to impose on his or her task. In order to measure the leadership in the organization we have used the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ). The climate, in turn, has been measured through Ekvalls GEFA. All 125 employees in Faiveley Transport Nordic Ltd got the possibility to attend the survey, 58 participated.

Nordiska sjömäns arbetsutsikter inom offshorebranschen : Vad händer när olje- och gasreserverna i Nordsjön tar slut?

AbstractThis thesis is a qualitative study that provides an insight into the Nordic offshore market, focusing on the North Sea and investigates indications of how the near future may develop in the area and how these developments may affect the Nordic seafarers. Questions central to the work are aimed primarily at how shipping companies, agencies and seafarers active in the offshore industry look at future activity in the North Sea, Nordic seafarers' status in the global labor market, and how today's employment conditions look like for seafarers in the global offshore industry. The majority of the information was collected through interviewes and questionnaires. The purpose of this study was to examine whether and how the expected development in the North Sea, in terms of availability of oil and gas, may have effect on the Scandinavian seafarers' future work prospects and employment conditions in the global offshore labor. The conclusions that have been drawn are that competition among seafarers in the offshore industry is higher 2015 than previous years (2000-2014) and are expected to increase.

Today?s companies offer their products and services through multiple distribution channels in an increasing extent, in order to reach bigger markets and more customers. Multiple channels result in an increased risk for channel conflict.This essay is an exploratory and descriptive study with the purpose to explore some companies? channel conflicts on the basis of sales commission and price differences. A case study has been made at two different companies and the empirical material has been collected with qualitative interviews.We found more channel conflicts in the company that uses sales commissions than in the company that doesn?t.

Inter-organisatorisk kommunikationssäkerhet : En fallstudie av informationssäkerhetsarbetet runt e-recept

Samtidigt som användandet av e-recept ökar i Sverige har Datainspektionen vid en tillsyn hos Apoteket AB konstaterat att det, i samband med överföringen av e-recept från vissa vårdgivare till Apoteket, finns brister i personuppgiftshanteringen. Hur uppstod dessa brister och finns det något de inblandade organisationerna kan göra för att undvika att liknande situationer uppstår i framtiden?Arbetet behandlar hanteringen av kommunikationssäkerhetsproblematik i ett inter-organisatoriskt perspektiv och beskriver hur det övergripande informationssäkerhetsarbetet påverkats av olika aktörers syn på ansvarsfrågor. Arbetet har sin utgångspunkt i en kvalitativ fallstudie där hanteringen av e-recept mellan Kalmar läns landsting och Apoteket AB står i fokus. Representanter från Apoteket AB, Kalmar läns landsting, Datainspektionen och Sjukvårdsrådgivningen SVR AB intervjuats i ett försök att beskriva, förstå och förklara de olika organisationernas syn på e-recept, dess kommunikationskanaler och kommunikationssäkerhetsansvaret vid överföring av elektroniska förskrivningar.

Vindkraftsplanering i skogsmark

The aim of this study about wind power planning in forest was to examine the factors and restrictions, which represent technical limitations, biodiversity, tourism and amount of energy for wind farms in Kronoberg County. Suitable areas for wind power were identified from the collected information about planning principles and potential conflicts. From the suitable areas the potential energy gain is calculated. Methods used were mainly a literature review, interviews with experts and practitioners, GIS analysis and a rough calculation of the energy gain. The section of information and facts describes in general wind power planning and possible conflicts.

The effect of cold stratification on germination in 28 cultural relict plant species : with the purpose of establishing germination protocols

Cultural relict plant species from the Nordic countries have been collected by the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) for the purpose of conservation. To ensure high seed vitality in store, regular germination tests need to be conducted. It is important to get a correct viability status, but the knowledge of seed dormancy in the cultural relict plants is often poor. The objective of this study was to investigate how seed dormancy is affected by cold stratification. The study includes 31 accessions from 28 species with the purpose of establishing germination protocols.

Inter-kommunal IT-samverkan

Uppsatsen syftar till att ge ett generellt kunskapsbidrag om vilka faktorer som kan sägas bidra till förekomsten av interkommunal samverkan om och med IT samt vilka effekter som kommuner kan uppnå genom sådan samverkan. Genom en exemplifierande studie avser vi även beskriva hur en inter-kommunal samverkan om och med IT kan se ut. Därutöver även att se om det utifrån ovanstående går att peka ut eller identifiera några särskilda framgångsfaktorer eller omständigheter som är av betydelse för huruvida samverkan kan resultera i ett positivt resultat eller inte.De resultat som vi kommit fram till pekar på att det finns flera faktorer som kan sägas bidra till att inter-kommunal samverkan om och med IT uppkommer. De bidragande faktorer som framkommit är omgivningen i form av staten och EU som vi funnit vara en stor bidragande faktor. Dessutom den obalans som uppstår mellan de resurser en kommun har och de uppdrag den har på sig.

Den här rapporten undersöker möjligheterna att analysera Nasdaq OMX Nordic Stockholm genom att kombinera flertalet olika analysmetoder. Vi utvecklade ett komplett automatiskt förutsägnings- och handelssystem bestående avfundamental analys, neurala nätverk, samt klassisk teknisk analys. Det här systemet visar att trots att ingen av dessa metoder var särskilt framgångsrika individuellt så kunde en kombination av alla tre påvisa utmärkta resultat..

Samarbetssvårigheter och konflikter mellan dag och nattpersonal inom äldreomsorgen : En studie ur medarbetares och enhetschefers perspektiv

We investigated a retirement home, where we looked at whether there are differences, disagreements or conflicts between teams who work day and night shifts. Our purpose was to examine the Heads of Unit and the employees perspectives on their perceived work situation, cooperation difficulties and why they emerged. We chose the general systems theory as our theoretical basis, which gave us the opportunity to highlight different parts that can affect the working climate and the cooperation of the working groups. The study also highlights the importance of structure, common goals, reporting and dialogue meetings. To understand the perceived work situation, we used methodological triangulation, using quantitative and qualitative methods (surveys, semi-structured interviews).
